Strongest Scammer: Scamming The World, One Death At A Time

Chapter 968: Negotiating With Madam Cold Fang

Chapter 968: Negotiating With Madam Cold Fang

Madam Cold Fang stared at Han Yu.

"I think there is a way for both of us to benefit in the future." Han Yu spoke carefully. "And it will allow you to take revenge too."

Her expression shifted slightly.

"Go on."

Han Yu took a breath.

"You have enmity with the Slaughtered Moon Divine Blood Sect." He said directly. "I can help you."

Madam Cold Fang actually looked surprised.

"Help me?" she repeated. "Take revenge?"

"Yes."

"You will go against your own sect?"

"I will."

The answer came immediately.

Madam Cold Fang narrowed her eyes.

Han Yu smiled faintly.

"My goal in life is rather simple." He said quietly. "I just want a peaceful life with my companions."

The wind blew between them.

Madam Cold Fang listened silently.

Han Yu continued.

"I know that sounds ridiculous coming from someone in the Blood Sect." He laughed weakly. "But it is true."

He looked toward the horizon.

"The Blood Sect cannot give me that life."

His expression dimmed slightly.

"Even now I have enemies everywhere."

"People scheme against me."

"People watch me."

"People try to use me."

"Becoming stronger only changed the scale."

He looked back at her.

"When I became stronger my enemies became stronger too."

Madam Cold Fang watched him carefully.

"You speak as if you are already deeply involved."

Han Yu scratched his cheek awkwardly.

"I am."

"How involved?"

Han Yu hesitated.

Then decided honesty was better here.

"I became a Legacy Disciple."

Silence.

Madam Cold Fang stopped moving entirely.

The wind seemed to pause.

"You..." she stared at him. "What?"

"I became a Legacy Disciple."

Her eyes narrowed.

"You?"

Han Yu coughed.

"Yes me."

Madam Cold Fang genuinely looked stunned. She had known Ju Fan was talented. She had seen his growth years ago. Fifteen years to Nascent Soul was already absurd.

Yet she never imagined this.

Legacy Disciple.

That title alone changed everything.

Even she understood its meaning.

The future rulers of the sect.

The monsters among monsters.

The candidates for Patriarch.

And Ju Fan stood among them?

She suddenly looked at him differently.

"You actually reached that position..."

Han Yu smiled bitterly.

"I did."

Then he looked at her.

"And ironically... your clan’s inheritance helped me do it."

Madam Cold Fang paused.

Han Yu raised his hand.

"The Freezing Abyss Glacial Art."

"The Endless Frost Tomb Art."

The first he had cultivated himself, while the second was what his master practiced and giving him the Cold Silk Orchid was how he got the Second Kidney Peak elder interested in him. As such, both techniques were invovled in this.

"I benefited from them."

He nodded.

"So I will repay that debt."

Her expression softened slightly.

"Repay?" she asked.

Han Yu nodded.

"I am preparing for the future."

His eyes became serious.

"I intend to leave the Blood Sect."

Madam Cold Fang blinked.

"I intend to escape the Blood Continent."

Her eyes widened.

Han Yu continued before she could interrupt.

"I have companions."

"Friends."

"People waiting for me."

"I came from elsewhere."

He did not reveal the Central Continent. He merely left it vague.

"I want to return."

Madam Cold Fang listened silently.

Han Yu continued.

"The problem is that leaving is difficult. The Blood Continent is sealed and the Blood Sect controls the methods."

"And even if I leave..."

He looked toward the west.

"The sect already plans to expand. They want the Central Continent."

Madam Cold Fang’s expression darkened.

Han Yu nodded.

"So even if I escape, the danger remains. That is why I think suppression is necessary... Perhaps elimination."

The words hung in the air.

Madam Cold Fang stared at him for she knew what this was.

This was treason.

Pure treason.

The kind that got entire bloodlines erased.

Yet Han Yu spoke it openly.

Without hesitation.

Without fear.

No.

There was fear.

But he said it anyway.

Madam Cold Fang slowly realized something.

He truly meant it. This was not manipulation, and this was not flattery. He genuinely intended to leave, and he genuinely intended to oppose the Blood Sect one day. And he was telling her everything.

Han Yu spread his hands.

"You want revenge and I want freedom. The Blood Sect stands in both our paths."

"So why not cooperate?"

Madam Cold Fang remained silent.

Han Yu continued carefully.

"You know things I do not. You understand your clan’s inheritance. You have lived through history and most of all, you know enemies outside the sect."

He then pointed to himself.

"And I know the sect."

"I know its politics."

"I know its factions."

"I know its weaknesses."

A grin appeared on his face.

"And I am sitting right inside it."

Madam Cold Fang looked at him for a very long time.

The snow around them drifted quietly.

Finally she spoke.

"You trust me rather easily."

Han Yu laughed.

"No."

The answer came instantly.

She blinked.

Han Yu smiled.

"I do not trust easily at all."

"Then why tell me?"

"Because if you wanted me dead I would already be dead."

Madam Cold Fang stared at him.

Han Yu shrugged helplessly.

"You are Dao Treading realm."

"You can freeze me by pointing at me."

"You tracked me for fifteen years."

"You found me through an invisible mark."

"What exactly am I supposed to hide?"

For the first time...

Madam Cold Fang laughed.

It was faint.

Brief.

Yet real.

Han Yu blinked.

The woman immediately regained her calm expression.

"That was not funny," she said.

"It was a little funny."

"It was not."

"It absolutely was."

Madam Cold Fang ignored him.

Then after a long silence she finally spoke.

"If this cooperation happens..."

Han Yu straightened.

"...what exactly do you want from me?"

Han Yu smiled.

"Simple."

He raised one finger.

"Help me leave the Blood Continent."

Then another.

"Help me protect my companions."

Then a third.

"And when the day comes..."

His eyes sharpened.

"Help me stop the Blood Sect."

Madam Cold Fang looked into his eyes.

The young man before her had just declared war against the greatest power of the continent.

Yet strangely...

He still smiled.

As if discussing future business.

As if talking about opening a shop.

Madam Cold Fang suddenly understood why he had survived all these years.

This person was insane.

Calmly insane.

After a long silence, she finally nodded once.

"...Fine."

Han Yu blinked.

"That easy?"

"Do not misunderstand." Madam Cold Fang said coldly. "I am merely considering it."

Han Yu immediately smiled.

That was enough.

Because a consideration today... Could become an alliance tomorrow. Besides Han Yu had already seen the Green Trust Energy coming out of Madam Cold Fang which meant she really meant to trust him.
