Strongest Scammer: Scamming The World, One Death At A Time

Chapter 964: Stopping The Eternal Smiling Ancestor

Chapter 964: Stopping The Eternal Smiling Ancestor

"ARGH!" The Frost Bat let out a cry as the force carried him upward.

The spear did not stop.

It drove him through the air and slammed directly into the enormous smiling figure inside the spring.

The Eternal Smiling Ancestor let out an inhuman shriek.

The smile on its face twisted.

Dark frost spread from the spear.

For a moment Han Yu thought it had worked.

Then he realized it had not.

The Ancestor’s figure did not disappear.

Instead... It began shrinking.

The massive body collapsed inward as endless streams of blue light poured from it and entered Yongnian. The Frost Bat’s damaged body immediately began recovering. The holes in his chest closed.

The wounds from Madam Cold Fang vanished.

Even the spear embedded in his back started getting pushed out.

"We need to stop him!"

Madam Cold Fang rushed forward.

Han Yu followed immediately.

He was already swallowing pills by the handful.

One.

Three.

Ten.

Twenty.

He barely cared anymore.

His storage ring opened and pill bottles emptied into his hands.

His Qi reserves had dropped to barely twenty five percent.

The Freezing Abyss Glacial Art was terrifyingly powerful.

And terrifyingly expensive.

Every breath consumed energy.

Every attack devoured more.

Han Yu reached Yongnian first.

He grabbed the spear still embedded in the Frost Bat’s body and pushed forward with all his strength.

"Abyssal Frost Qi!"

Darkness exploded around him.

Black frost spread from the spear.

Yongnian cried out.

The transfer slowed.

Yet Han Yu’s face changed immediately.

"Damn it!"

The pills could not keep up.

His meridians burned.

Normal Spirit Qi entered his body quickly enough.

Converting it into Abyssal Frost Qi took time.

Too much time.

The Eternal Smiling Ancestor’s energy continued pouring into Yongnian.

The Frost Bat’s body kept changing.

His wings grew larger.

His bones cracked.

The monstrous form expanded.

"I’ll help."

Madam Cold Fang suddenly appeared behind him.

Before Han Yu could react she placed both palms against his back.

And a moment later, bone chilling cold flooded into him.

Han Yu almost screamed.

The ice Qi rushed through his meridians like an avalanche.

His entire body trembled.

He was only in the Nascent Soul Realm.

This amount of power should have destroyed him.

"Focus!"

Madam Cold Fang’s voice rang out.

Han Yu gritted his teeth.

Then something appeared above her.

A sphere.

Dark.

Cold.

Beautiful.

"Polar Night Ice Dao Embryo." Madam Cold Fang muttered.

Han Yu’s eyes widened.

The sphere floated above Madam Cold Fang. Inside it he saw a black curtain scattered with blue specks. At first he thought they were stars. Then he realized it was an endless night sky.

The Dao Embryo expanded and it wrapped around Han Yu.

Instantly the cold became gentle.

The pain faded.

The Freezing Abyss Glacial Art began moving on its own.

It devoured Madam Cold Fang’s ice Qi greedily.

The conversion accelerated.

Abyssal Frost Qi flooded out endlessly.

"AHHHHH!"

Han Yu roared.

He poured everything into the spear.

The black ice spread faster.

The spear grew.

One meter.

Three.

Ten.

The frost climbed Yongnian’s body.

The transfer slowed again.

But the Eternal Smiling Ancestor continued fighting back. The energy pouring into Yongnian increased. The Frost Bat’s body kept expanding and the Abyssal Frost Qi kept freezing it. Neither side gained ground.

The stalemate continued.

Minutes passed.

Five.

Ten.

Fifteen.

Madam Cold Fang’s breathing grew heavier.

Her hands trembled.

Maintaining a Dao Embryo while continuously feeding Qi was exhausting even for someone in the Dao Treading Realm.

Sweat appeared on her forehead.

Her face paled.

Han Yu noticed it immediately.

"Just a bit more..."

He stared at the shrinking image of the Eternal Smiling Ancestor.

The thing was still there.

Still conscious.

Still smiling.

Then... A thought appeared.

Han Yu froze.

The Eternal Smiling Ancestor had no body.

Not truly.

It was a projection.

A manifestation.

Energy.

Spirit.

His eyes widened.

"Wait..."

Even if it lacked a body...

It was still technically a soul construct.

A grin slowly spread across Han Yu’s face.

He turned his head as his eyes changed.

His violet eyes locked onto the smiling figure while concentric rings appeared within them.

Soul qi surged and the world seemed to stop.

"Soul Petrifying Glare!"

His eyes shone.

The soul technique activated.

The Eternal Smiling Ancestor looked back.

For the first time since appearing... The smile on its face faltered.

Han Yu felt his soul shake violently.

The technique struck.

The world turned silent.

Then cracks appeared across the smiling figure.

KACHA.

Yongnian’s laughter stopped.

Madam Cold Fang’s eyes widened.

And all around them... The enormous smiling spring trembled.

The Eternal Smiling Ancestor froze.

The effect was immediate.

The giant smiling figure that had been shrinking and pouring its essence into Yongnian suddenly stopped moving. The wide smile upon its face remained, but a layer of pale violet spread over it. The translucent body stiffened as if time itself had halted.

Han Yu felt his vision blur.

The pressure upon his soul increased instantly. His head felt as though iron spikes were being hammered into his skull one after another.

Still, the effect had worked.

The connection between Yongnian and the Eternal Smiling Ancestor shook violently. The flow of energy faltered and the endless stream that had been pouring into Yongnian suddenly became uneven and unstable.

Madam Cold Fang saw it too.

"The connection broke!" she shouted.

The transformation stopped.

Yongnian’s expanding body halted in place.

His wings stopped growing.

The monstrous Frost Bat form trembled violently.

And then the Abyssal Frost Qi gained ground.

The black frost surged.

It climbed his arms.

His wings.

His chest.

His neck.

Within seconds half his body had been frozen.

Within a minute the entire Frost Bat was trapped inside a massive shell of black ice.

Han Yu did not celebrate.

He could not.

His eyes remained locked on the Eternal Smiling Ancestor.

The Soul Petrifying Glare required constant focus.

He could not blink.

Could not look away.

The headache in his head had already become unbearable.

It felt as if his skull was cracking apart.
