Strongest Nova: Path of Vengeance

Chapter 330: EM-0001

Chapter 330: EM-0001

Stanley didn’t know what he could say here. It seemed Amy was determined to leave, so he didn’t want to say anything in opposition to that.

"I see," Stanley said. "You will be missed, sister Amy."

"Don’t give me the sentimental tone. I’m not dying," she said. "It’s time you get healed now."

Amy pulled Stanley closer and held his shoulders in her two fair hands. She took a bit of breath and poured something out onto his body that made it feel hot.

Stanley couldn’t believe he could feel the heat in the part of his body that was dead. It was deeper than the surface, but any feeling was welcome.

He began feeling itch at the tip of his arm and watched as his own flesh began wriggling around. Then, he saw white bone extend out from the stump, slowly growing until it was fully grown up to the elbow.

Stanley couldn’t feel any time manipulation, so this truly was just healing. Pure regeneration.

The muscles and tissues rushed behind the bone to grow out, each fiber intertwining with the other to grow forward. The skin followed right behind, growing bit by bit.

Another two bones grew right out of the elbow, ligaments, and cartilage quickly attaching itself to the bone as it grew out. The muscle and skin followed.

Then Stanley watched his own palm grow out, each bone coming out one at a time, with all the necessary tissues needed to keep it together growing right after. Once the flayed palm was fully done, the skin quickly grew back, finally ending with the nails.

Stanley felt his arm tickle and be hot the whole way through right until the very end. Amy let it go and he looked at it in awe. His arm was fully back.

He flexed it around a bit and it felt different from the times when his mind accidentally thought he still had an arm.

’How many times have I had my arm healed?’ Stanley wondered. It had been more than a few times. Even if it was not ripped off, it had been broken previously.

"Thank you," Stanley said, feeling emotional.

"I didn’t give you hair, but it should grow back on its own in no time," Amy told him. She let out a deep breath and looked at her own palm. "Hmm... your body isn’t strong, is it? It is just your powers that make it strong. It really doesn’t take as much energy as I anticipated."

"Oh? You have more remaining than you previously thought?" Stanley asked.

"Yes, but I won’t heal your scars," Amy said. "It is enough to heal them, but I don’t want to."

Stanley gave a small giggle. "It’s alright, sister Amy. I already made my decision," he said.

"Then I will need to heal someone else," Amy said and gave a slight nod. "You are healed now, so you can leave," she said.

Stanley couldn’t help but put on an awkward smile at the woman’s straight dismissal. He nodded and was about to leave when he remembered something.

"Oh right, about your brother," he said. "Any chance I can meet him again? His training helped so much during the mission and the games. Especially a game."

"I don’t know," Amy said. "He is also not around anymore, so whether he comes or not depends on..."

Her words trailed off for a bit before she nodded. "Yeah, I think he can come. I will make sure he comes to meet you before we’re gone."

"Great. Thank you," Stanley said, wondering what she meant by ’we’. Did she mean her brother or someone else in the AAA?

"Go and have some food, then go to sleep. You must be tired," she said. "Don’t worry about my brother. He will come to see you."

"I already ate, but okay," Stanley said. "I will take my leave. Please make sure to let us know when you’re leaving and don’t just leave on your own."

"I will make sure the—" Amy’s words stopped mid-speech and she quickly looked upward at the ceiling.

Stanley looked up to see what she was looking for and didn’t see anything there at all. By the time he looked down, Amy was already speaking to the computer in the room.

"Authorization EM-0001. Activate Emergency Protocols. We are under—"

The entire room went dark.

"—attack... shit!"

Stanley immediately activated his future sight, seeing dull white lights glow all around him in the near future, confused and hyper-aware at the same time.

"EMP, dammit," Amy said. The many medical staff on the floor began panicking at the same time.

Dull white lights returned as the backup generators came up and provided just that basic visibility. It was not bright at all.

Then, the brightness improved far more as a large amount of light came streaming down from above him. Stanley turned his head above and saw a future where the entire ceiling came crashing down on the medicine floor.

"Are you sure this will work?" a young man asked as he stood in front of a single massive boulder, which had been enhanced to have its weights multiplied by a lot.

"It will, sir Spade. For 10 seconds after I let go of my hands, it will retain its weight." the man, whose power it was to improve the weight, quickly replied.

The young man with the power of spatial manipulation smiled at the answer. "Great. Then here... it... goes."

The boulder disappeared from right in front of them, teleported far and high into the sky from where it would gather enough velocity to be more of a danger than a bomb could ever be.

They could detect a bomb, but they wouldn’t so easily detect a boulder that came crashing down from the sky.

He didn’t even look at the aftermath and turned to look at the nearly 1000 people that were hidden within the woods.

"Get ready, all of you," he said. "Once the boulder does its job, it’s your turn to take care of the rest."
