Strongest Nova: Path of Vengeance

Chapter 317: You and I

Chapter 317: You and I

Gray walked into the massive hall where people of all sorts stayed in their protected room, waiting for all the commotion to die down.

While the rooms were to the back, the front was filled with all sorts of machines and screens, with people working on them all the time. They watched the death game right here, but the current commotion had forced them to pivot their attention to whatever was happening on the ship.

Gray’s arrival was met with surprise and confusion. He looked out of the ordinary with his tight black suit, stark white hair, and a mask that covered half his face.

"Quite the sorry lot, aren’t you?" he asked, immediately causing 5 of the people who were about to shoot him to die from a stab through their heart. No one could even see what had stabbed them or how it had happened.

"Don’t bother hiding in your rooms, noble men and women. You have been caught red-handed. You will soon face jail time, that is if you aren’t put to be executed immediately," Gray said.

"Nobody does anything," a voice said from the side as a man walked toward Gray.

Gray turned his head toward the man, realizing this was the leader of the group. "You are the head of this place, aren’t you?" he asked.

"I am," the man said. "I did not expect the AAA to catch us by surprise like this. Even more, I did not expect you to catch me by surprise."

Gray’s eyes narrowed in a smile. "You make it sound like you know about us," he said. "That would be something."

"Know about AAA? I always have," the man said. "Why do you think I go so far to cover my tracks? But that’s not all I know about, Paul."

Gray’s eyes immediately widened in surprise. "How do you know my name?" he asked. "A power of yours?"

"No powers," the man said.

"Whatever, that doesn’t matter. I have left that name behind a long, long time ago," Gray said.

"How did you survive?" the man asked. "They nuked a city for you."

Gray frowned this time around. "You seem to know a lot about me."

"I was the one that found you. I was the one who put the clan together for you. Those bastards simply stepped too far too quickly. I was sad when I heard you had died, but clearly, here you are."

Gray was beginning to feel weird about the situation. The man knew way more than he should have. Most of the records behind his past were destroyed, and yet... the man somehow knew.

"You put me in that clan?" Gray asked.

"Yes," the man said.

"And you were the one that told them to kill all those people in the city?" Gray asked.

"Also yes," the man said. "I hoped they would do it later, once you were no longer a child, but... whatever. You are alive and that’s all that matters. Do you wish to—"

The man suddenly felt a sharp pain in his arm and grunted in pain. "Argh!" he screamed as he looked down to see that he had lost his arm.

"This is what it takes for me to work together with someone," Gray said.

The man knelt on the ground in pain, breathing in through his teeth, trying to handle the pain.

"You... you and I, we can do so much. Your Aura, and my plans, we can—"

"I do not care."

The man’s head twisted a full 180 degrees as his eyes bulged wide and the man fell to the ground, dead.

Gray got back up, staring at the men who had their guns out, ready to shoot at him. He did not stop them. He simply changed the property of his aura to become highly elastic, so everything was returned back to the shooter.

It was a trick he learned from a member of the 5, Droon, and it worked effectively against everyone trying to hurt him.

People began killing themselves, and when they finally realized what was happening and stopped, Gray killed them.

The room was filled with corpses all around and he could hear screams from the protected room high above. Every single one was filled by someone influential in their countries.

They could be senators, mafia bosses, billionaires, arms merchants, and whatnot. And now they were caught there. Each and every single one of them was going to be put in jail.

This was perhaps the greatest catch the AAA had made in a long time.

Gray quickly destroyed all the machines in the room, destroying even the screens. Then, he tried connecting to the satellites to message Caleb.

And yet, he could not connect to anyone just yet. He frowned a little.

There was someone in this place who was good with computers, who had managed to keep their area from being found out. Even through satellites, they could not be seen.

He had thought it would be someone within this room or at least the computer would be within this room. It seemed it was not.

He still couldn’t connect to Caleb.

’Somewhere else,’ he thought. ’Both the tech guy and the other guy. We need to find them all.’

There was more work to be done, and he hoped the people he had brought along were enough for that.

His eye darted toward one of the many rooms and he couldn’t help but smile as a few people began walking out, seemingly ready to fight him.

"You guys don’t want to go quietly, do you?" he asked.

"Who would?" one of the men said as he pulled out some sort of knuckle bracer and put it on both of his hands. The other ones pulled out guns and other weapons.

Gray couldn’t help but smile at the sight. "Well, I wouldn’t lie and say I don’t want to kill more of you," he said. "Especially when you’re throwing yourself at me. Come, let me have some fun."
