Chapter 210: House Frostbane VS All Other Houses [2]
Chapter 210: House Frostbane VS All Other Houses [2]
"I accept all your challenges. Now come into the arena. Let us make this fun!" Louis said. "House Frostbane, come here."
"Eh?! Us?!" Mirai asked.
"Let us do a battle royale! After all, what is the point of this damn academy if not to test each other's strength?!" Louis laughed. "Hahahahahah! Come at me!"
"W-Wait!" The director tried to stop them, but then someone walked up beside him. His eyes widened. "K-King Gustaf?!"
"I came to see what my son was doing on his first day. To think he would already be fighting the entire class," the king sighed. "Technically they are allowed, right? No rules state a maximum number of students that can participate in a fight."
"…You are on his side?!" the director asked.
"I have already learned my son's nature by now. He may seem evil, but he has a good heart deep down. He is likely trying to push them to grow stronger because he knows they are humanity's hope," Gustaf said. "So please, just let him do it. He will treat them well. And would it not be good to establish strong rivalries from the beginning? It will push everyone to work even harder."
Chris thought about it for a second and then sighed. "Only for this once… I allow it. Louis Drakeheart, you had better not humiliate your own house."
"Don't worry," Louis said with a smile. "Come."
The students from Yamato, Camelot, and Mesopotamia roared as they charged into the arena, unleashing their auras and wielding their weapons. Every student fought in their own unique way.
Yet as dozens of attacks struck Louis, he remained largely unscathed. With a swing of his hand, he knocked out Fantine and Sylvain, the fire-wielding half-elf siblings, who were simply too weak. One solid punch to the face sent both of them crashing down instantly.
"Face me, Louis Drakeheart! You are a swordsman just like me, aren't you?!"
A swordsman from Camelot attacked. With black hair tied in a ponytail and swift movement techniques, his sword gleamed with bright emerald light as cutting winds gathered around him. It was Félix Jose.
CLASH!
Louis intercepted the sword with his bare hand as his aura surged, pushing everyone back with an invisible psychic force.
"You are also a swordsman, I see. You have sword energy and… psychic power as well, correct?"
"Where is your sword?!"
"I said I would not use any. If I did, you would die."
"Tsk! Do not underestimate me!"
Félix swung his sword in a powerful, majestic, and rapid dance of dozens of slashing attacks. Louis intercepted every strike with his bare hands.
"You are still not there yet, Félix, but you have potential."
"...?!"
The swordsman gasped as he heard Louis's voice behind him. In a single instant, Louis had attacked and moved like a darting sword.
The next moment, Félix's head was smashed into the ground, followed by a kick to the stomach that made him vomit blood. He was then sent flying out of the arena.
Louis released his barrier as three more students charged at him immediately.
"You will pay for what you did to the prince!"
Hugo Molinaro from Camelot swung his massive log-like arms. He enhanced his body with aura to its limits. Despite being a kindhearted man who loved cooking, Hugo was a giant of pure muscle with immense supernatural strength. His punches created ripples in the air, and his footsteps shattered the ground when he grew angry.
Louis did not dodge any hits. He endured them with his bare body as his clothes tore apart, revealing his muscular, chiseled physique. Although he was not as large as Hugo, he was still powerfully built, far from the thin figure most assumed by his silhouette.
"Woah, bro, you are jacked!" Hugo praised him suddenly.
"Thank you, Hugo," Louis replied, delivering a punch to his face followed by dozens of strikes using his nails as swords. He stabbed into Hugo's muscular body until it was riddled with bleeding holes.
"Kuuaaaaagh!" Hugo screamed. Louis finished him with a kick to the throat, sending him flying out of the arena.
The other two did not engage in direct combat. Asher constantly fired magic arrows from a distance, bombarding Louis, whose body absorbed every attack without injury.
"What is this guy even made of—"
"Hey."
"Aaahhh!"
Asher screamed as Louis appeared behind him in a flash. His claws dug into Asher's arm, slashing through muscles and tendons.
Asher screamed in horror and tried to escape, but Louis kicked him out of the arena, knocking him unconscious from fear and pain.
"Ah, that was pathetic. Oh?"
"Fufu, you are done for, Louis Drakeheart! With this curse, you will lose for sure!"
The other student attacking with magic was a woman from Yamato named Orochi. With snake-like features and a vicious smile, she laughed and waved her long-nailed fingers. Her aura surged like purple clouds as she summoned a black shadow beneath Louis. Hundreds of snakes coiled around him, biting into his skin and injecting magic venom filled with malevolent curses.
Yet…
"How cute."
Louis absorbed the venom and curses. The snakes screamed, vomited black blood, and died one by one. They crystallized into salt and crumbled into dust.
"Aaaaaaaagh!"
Orochi screamed in horror as the backlash from her destroyed curse struck her. Her skin turned brittle and crystallized into salt. Her magic scattered instantly, and she passed out as her voluptuous body suddenly became incredibly thin, drained of all energy.
"Don't worry. You will live."
"THIS IS FOR REINA!!!"
A tall red oni roared, swinging her spiked club at him. Louis dodged swiftly, patted her muscular arms, and acknowledged her strength.
"Rinkah, right? I admire your power. You and your sister are always welcome in my house."
"I will never join your house! I will never betray my country!"
With fiery anger in her eyes, the big red oni roared. Her club came crashing down as her demonic aura shattered the ground and set everything ablaze.
Her attacks reached Louis constantly, but he avoided them with ease. He spread his skeletal wings, jumped higher, caught her face with his leg, and tried to kick her down.
Or at least, he tried.
"Grrrr!"
Even with a bleeding nose and bruises, she resisted the immensely strong kick, leaving Louis genuinely amazed.
"Indeed, you are the game's strongest tank for a reason, Rinkah!"
"GRAAAR!"
She roared angrily, opened her jaws, bit Louis's leg, lifted him up, and threw him away. She leaped into the air and swung her spiked club down, crimson thunder surging from the strike.
"Pulverizing Thunder!"
BOOOM!
The attack sent Louis crashing into the ground, shattering the floor and leaving a massive crater. All students on the way were sent flying, causing chaos.
The other members of the houses stared at Rinkah in utter awe, shocked by her true strength.
She was truly one of Yamato's strongest.
Because of her shy personality, it had been hard for anyone to realize just how powerful she was.
"Hahahah, wonderful."
Louis emerged from the crater, revealing his transformed form. His skin had grown slightly darker, like dark ash gray. His long hair had turned white and dark purple flames. Long horns made of ice and salt grew across his body, and skeletal wings spread out with phantasmal flames surging around him.
"It is my turn now, Rinkah."
"...?!"
Rinkah gasped as she noticed Louis's sudden transformation. His power had increased tremendously in an instant. Everyone felt the immense pressure. The air rippled around him and the ground cracked.
With a single leap, Louis punched Rinkah's damage-absorbing stomach—her toughest area—and sent her flying like a ragdoll.
"Waaaahhhhhh!"
She flew so high that she landed outside the entire arena building, somewhere in the academy town.
"Hah," Louis smiled, looking at his large, scale-covered fists. "So who is next?"
