Chapter 787: Epilogue
Chapter 787: Epilogue
Time moved faster than what the group could have imagined. They had managed to survive battles that were entirely unexpected and lacked logic however, they had been important battles that altered the world itself.
The elves had managed to break out more and more with the goading of the humans and the antics of the dwarves. This led to them opening up a full road through both territories to the first ever human and elf city made at one end of the violent jungle.
The dwarves took the longest to speak with those from their home world through the dungeon. As such, they eventually had a response that was much like a dwarf. "Do whatever you want." stubborn and blunt. Just do whatever. So, in that respect, the dwarven commander had held the abolishment of a mining city and the building of a proper city for the dwarves.
It became the center for learning many crafting related skills and for those with beasts with weapons, armor, or tool shapes. A massive new method to understand them and also learn from them. The dwarves were focused on all of that. Including a lot of teaching.
Between those two aspects of the next years, the Universal Alliance only grew stronger. Especially with the corrupted and unyielding humans out of the way. The true beauty and goodness of the human cities could be seen by other races and many intelligent beasts.
Some did not fully believe that a human had somehow become the guardian of their world. It sounded almost like a children's fairytale. Something made up and too sweet to be true at all. Yet, when Clark traveled around fixing problems and checking new dungeons for dangers, people grew to understand.
The more the years passed them by, the more the new generations learned of those who fought to ensure a future for the humans, dwarves, and elves. Those who battled to prevent the slavery of all three races. Let alone the deaths of all three races along with this world!
It was common knowledge that Jerold, the hidden hero was only hidden because of his extreme ability to camouflage anywhere. Those who wished to become scouts would find his written methods as guides for a brilliant hidden path to walk. Able to scout and gather information as if it was just part of their nature.
That was what came of learning from his guide left behind many years after he had passed away.
Leaving a legacy like that had been a major change for those within the Universal Alliance. One legacy was just that, a legacy. But as the entire group had left behind legacies, it became a foundation.
The defensive arts that Brad created through harsh training became the basis for all guards. Especially during dungeon breaks. The heavy armor guards were known as the toughest members of any guard or army. So much so that they carried a black trim shield and black trim sword to pay homage to Brad's training. Any who followed it would see spectacular results in their strength and stamina.
Those who followed all of it, could be called the top of the army's strength.
This was similar to Reese. As Reese and his partner had grown, they had managed to make their family sword style grow. It was more than finished. To the point that it became known as the best sword style to master for those who wished to even think about wielding a sword, let alone sword type beast.
What would shock everyone, was that Reese left behind a unique sword training based dungeon upon his death. His taming space had not been anything he focused on much until later in life. But at that time, he had decided that he wanted to leave a place for those like him to learn. His partner remained within, known as the slumbering spirit sword god.
As it came to Isa, she mastered the ability to meld with all four of her beasts at once. It took her to a level of strength that allowed her to repair, build, and understand the elemental energies and how they fused. Specifically when it came to helping those of Aphelion City.
While mastering these techniques had allowed her to live for three times the lifetime of her fellow Universal Alliance founders, it was her legacy. She left behind merchant schools that advanced rapidly. Not to mention the high focus on beast plan sales across the world.
Things also grew when she shared her family techniques complete form with her three children. Nice had been born with an elemental sword, definitely passed from Reese's side of the gene pool. But it had been perfect for them as they spread the family name further in their lives.
To make weapons and anything that could handle that much energy was considered impossible for the average blacksmith though. That was until Ralph became known as the one and only human to surpass the dwarves.
Over thirty unique alloys with extremely rare metals were discovered. Beyond that, the taming spec left behind as a dungeon was the perfect place to learn forging. A powerful forge dragon that had developed from a dragon welp resided there.
The molten boar king and Ralph also left behind one of the most in depth, and brutal, forging methods to learn. It could easily take a hundred years to learn. But Ralph had managed to learn and developed it over the course of three hundred and five years before he passed on.
When it came to Grace, she surprised many by showing off the skills related to ice and wind mana fusion. She became known as an ice phoenix queen. Partly for the true blizzard phoenix partner of hers and the fact that she managed to find and train seven others with phoenix beats of different typings.
Because of Grace, records of the phoenix beast species expanded. The phoenix species returned to the world and even began interacting with others of mythical origin. When Grace perished, her true blizzard phoenix did too, before it reformed as an egg and was taken in by her and Ralph's daughter as the next generation.
When it came to records and expanding research though, nothing was able to compete with Ella. Her taming space was the first ever recorded to become an aspect of the world entirely.
By this, it meant that instead of a dungeon, the world expanded to allow the forest of elemental wisps to take space. It brought upon new species of beasts derived from wisps. Research so advanced that the entire world was shocked by it at every turn.
This was only the smallest parts though. Her journals could be regarded as holy books. Every record had knowledge from everything she had done. Enough to create pathways for the young to grow for ten generations after her passing. Not that whispers of her didn't remain within the spirit forest.
The research Ella did together with Maria was more than enough to give her a legacy beyond anything else as well.
The pair documented new healing techniques. Both with alchemy related potioneering and pill making. Besides that, the formulas they created were able to easily rival and advance beyond what the elves had.
This continued in to the medical side of things. The study of beast bodies and bodies of other races allowed healers to be more knowledgeable. To the point that some injuries thought to be impossible to heal were brought down to just a few days in recovery.
Maria took on the name of healing saintess, revered by everyone within the world and even some outside of their world. Especially as she discovered ways to prevent her aging so that she could remain beside Clark.
The way she healed her aging body became known as the perfect immortality. Not that it was actually immortality. That was nearly impossible in existence since it would break the balance. Instead, she slowed her aging by a hundred times.
That allowed her to stand beside Clark as he took the role of defender. Journeying to new worlds to bring them in to their Universal alliance. Befriending other races thought to be weaker and used by the more powerful races.
By the time a thousand years had passed, Clark had become known as the ghostly guardian. A powerful being that hid like a ghost but defended various worlds from greater evils than they could handle.
Repairing damaged dungeons and bringing broken dungeons in to the proper flow of the worlds. Even repairing crumbling worlds that suffered from wars or grave dangers.
His hopes never faltered as he pursued peace and safety. Allowing those below him to grow at rapid rates which no other alliance had ever seen before.
When he passed down his genes to his and Maria's children, they rose to the occasion. Becoming invaluable explorers of worlds beyond. Leading the charge to become greater than any others.
When he eventually did look back, he felt blessed. Existence had given him the system to help him. Repaired his soul and who he was. As such, he used it to build a better everything for everyone. Even as a thousand years passed, he felt true hope for the future.
He never stopped either. Every day was another step toward a brighter future.
