Chapter 781: No Damage
Chapter 781: No Damage
"Those others were foolish. They thought that they could achieve a perfect form greater than what the world I come from created. Greater than the entirety of demon kind. We are the perfect form. You saw what our innate energy can do."
The mocking, condescending tone suede made everyone that heard it feel sick. They knew that they were hearing the ramblings of something evil. Something that saw other races and others in general as entertainment. Just a means to an end and nothing more than that.
"You're a filthy demon that does not belong in this world. We will cast you out!" the commander slammed his gauntlets forward again. But the demon just flicked his finger to completely block the massive weight of the gravity gauntlets benign wielded by this tamer.
"Dwarves are stubborn. Getting a few of your people to fall in to my traps was difficult. But since there are so few of you left, it is simple using your people. Sending small beast tides towards you. Making your little moving cavity come closer to the perfect battle ground using small fake mineral deposits. All of it was too easy for me."
"Those fools believed every word I left in the dreams of that leader of theirs. He thought consuming my blood was strengthening him. But it was just preparing an inner portal. A sacrifice once he became a monster to follow my orders."
The demon mocked the dwarf and those that he had already killed. While the cultists were evil and twisted within their own right, they had been used. Used for their sacrifices. For their energy. For everything they had just so that this demon could enter the world.
They demons had no way to enter other worlds unless brought in. this was just a rule of existence. Some things were just a mystery, and this was one of them. Therefore, people had long given up on learning these things. especially since the elves and dwarfs had explained that this was just a fact of existence itself.
Another arrow shot from the endless forest bow tried to penetrate the demon's defenses. It even split on to multiple arrows the second before it would make contact. The unique energies of a quad energy type beast striking out at the demon. But nothing made contact.
The demon sent a light burst of demonic energy that caused every arrow to break down in to pieces. Like they had barely been held together in the first place. "Those little pieces of wood are your greatest weapon? Would you even be worth making in to a servant? Or should I choose someone more promising?"
The demon reached out, a demonic hand made of demonic energy lashed out and snapped up a nearby elf soldier. Their beast was a small puff ball of white.
'Rainy dandelion- rare
This dandelion beast is often seen floating nearby natural springs and other water sources. They will absorb water from the air and drop it to the ground. This is how it is able to absorb water energy the best.
It is able to copy the form of a dandelion since it is constantly in places that they grow. Their small size is deceiving though. They have a much larger control of water energy than what many people believe. Specifically, they can make dense water shapes that will last a significant amount of time.
These can be used by the tamer to attack and defend themselves. These beast are considered a support role beast, however, that is just an underestimation. They can easily changed the flow of a battle with their support. Manby elves will raise these beasts if they are lucky enough to be accepted by one of them…'
The little beast was snapped up next by another hand made of demonic energy. Then, a single drop of blood fell on to the elf's head. The rainy dandelion was forced next to him as screams began to resound through the air.
The veteran soldiers wanted to strike out and join the battle, but the demon had sent various demonic energy hands to attack them. To block any attempt at ruining its fun. "See this? Isn't this much better? A servant that won't disobey. That listens and follows orders well."
'Drowned corpse- monster
This monster was created by killing an elf as they were fused with a water type beast. The result is a mindless monster that has an affinity for the water. It can swim. sink to the bottom for months without rotting, and even use the water within its rotting body to splash and poison others.
Its pale complexion and pained garbled moans are left over from the suffering it underwent when perishing. The beast also suffered greatly from the forced fusion. Due to this, it is very aggressive when it is sent to battle. It fears pain even though it has no sense for pain any longer.
It is forcefully being controlled with the demonic energy connections to a demon. The demon blood and demonic energy. Due to this, it has no chance of returning to the form that it once was. It is permanently in a state of being a monster….'
Clark had no intention of reading even more in to the analysis. He already hated what he was looking at. Everything about it was wrong. Everything that the demon had just done showed off the horror that it wished to bring to their entire world.
"I will kill you!" one elf screamed out wanting revenge. But his battle had been turned to a former ally made enemy. The drowned corpse was thrown at him and immediately used their full force to try to grab the elf soldiers.
Luckily, Shy used shadow threads to catch the drowned corpse. They were tightened and tore apart the body of the drowned corpse. It was a monster, recently made, but it had no chance of fighting Shy who was significantly more powerful than some weak newborn monster.
"How sad. I barely got to watch how that new toy caused pain to the ants around. I will need to change a few more things in to my servants then." The demon looked at Clark. It could see that he was the master of the beast that had ruined it fun.
However, as it tried to move forward, a rain of arrows shot in unison at it. This made the demon wrap itself in its wings. The arrows bounced off them like they had the elves had coordinated to attack at once. But that was just a means to stop the demon from moving.
Below the demon, three mechanical golems with a unique part attached to their hands had moved them together. What anyone would have expected to be some strange contraption was actually a unique weapon.
The fire energy that gathered around them was much larger than what it should have been. Clark watched and realized that this was a modified movable forge. The pieces were attracting air energy with unique runes. Attracting the ambient fire energy in the same way. The golems also had been designed with fire, metal, and wind materials.
When the forge furnace fired up. The modifications were evident. It had been made to shoot concentrated bursts of fire energy all at once. It took a lot of time to properly wield, but the three golems had been built for it. Their tamer piloting them also had trained for this.
This seemed like it was a perfect impromptu plan. The elves used plenty of arrows to distract while the dwarfs prepared a devastating blow to the demon. That way. This demon would be at least damaged,. If not killed by the attack. The fire energy and the flames were very hot.
Hard to even think about reistsing.
"A waste of time. You are too weak." The demon folded its wings and fell to the ground. As it did so, it fell through the flames and slammed its hands down on top of the three dwarven mechanical golems.
The shredding of metal and a few pained screams left the golems and their tamers dead. In just a second, an attack that would have killed many, had been ignored and those that used it killed.
None of this stopped Clark's movements though. He sprinted forward and felt Crim use the wings to propel him. His spear sliced across the cheek of the demon, but when Clark thought that he might have dealt an attack finally, the demon began laughing.
"Even maintaining a slower speed you still can not attack me and succeed. Ah, how ants are greater fun than I expected." the demon hadn't even been cut. It was all just for show. An entertainment as it loomed over them.
Clark wasn't having this though. He didn't stop trying to push ahead. He had to attack and make sure that the demon could not keep up. He had to ensure that he crushed this opponent here. That was why he began channeling more death energy as he struck out using the falling lunar dragon pierce. A slight dragon roar echoing from the lunar storm spear.
