Chapter 768: Full Form
Chapter 768: Full Form
Easily standing seven feet tall, the blood moon werewolf was grinding its large fangs in excitement. The red teeth were easily dyde by the blood of multiple monsters and beasts. No one doubted that. But the blood red claws seemed to just naturally be that way. The same with the vibrant red fur that covered its body.
"That is one of the more powerful monsters. We need to take it down before it decides to do more damage than we can handle." Clark knew that an intelligent monster like this would have more risks associated with fighting it than what the other monsters did. But he couldn't rely on everyone fighting together against it.
There were so many of the werewolf minions around. They were prowling through the shadows staying away from the torches, but as the solidres flooded in, battles had already begun.
The metal of the dwarven golems was being shredded by their claws. It was a terrifying scene since their defenses should have been much tougher than the claws of any beasts that they met on these floors. However, it was the nature of these monsters that did it.
The darkness energy that the werewolf minions had was degrading the metal of the dwarven golems. Leaving them to need to team up against one of the many minions to even combat it, let alone take it down. "Team up and fight from range if possible!" The elf captain was sure that this would be their advantage here.
However, the agility that came with being a werewolf proved to be harder for the elves to strike. This speed was like none of the beasts that they normally fought nor like the monsters that they had countered before with their arrows. The speed was enough for the werewolf minions to dodge attacks with the slightest margin.
"You are a unique group! Show me what value you have!" The blood moon werewolf charged and kicked Brad's shield. His possessed armaments was tough, but it still took a slight scratch where it had just been slashed by claws. Brad was also knocked back a foot while trying his beasts to resist the attack.
Ralph tried to counter after the blood moon werewolf had attacked Brad, but his ax hit nothing but air. "Cute attempts. But you don't look like you will be as valuable. No ferocity. I can't add you to the pack." The next attack should hac slashed through Ralph's neck, if Brad hadn't charged forward again to defend.
This time though, Brad turned his body and used the momentum to deflect the claws. It forced the blood moon werewolf to be open for an attack, or so he thought. When he swung his sword, he was stunned to feel it stop short. Stunned to see that it was caught within the clawed hand of the blood moon werewolf he was trying to kill!
"So weak, but you have some potential, I will take you." The blood moon wereworld snarled while lunging to bite Brad. Clearly this attempt was some form of attack mixed with ability to recruit another minion. But this was all for naught since Brad was not alone.
A large spear of ice shot towards the blood moon werewolf and shattered on his back. Grace and Isa had partnered together to cause the speed and the force behind it to grow. If the blood moon weren't so tough, it would have been pierced through.
"Now that was not bad either. Even better if you can keep controlling that. I have a small ice fang wolf to test on you. It will complete you." The comment before the blood moon werewolf leaped to slash at Grace and Isa was enough to make them feel even more disgusted.
Luckily, Ella had already had her earth price create a spike of stone from the ground, it pierced upwards toward the blood moon werewolf. This was the first decisive hit as it grazed its arm and caused the first drops of blood to fall to the ground and a howl of rage from the blood moon werewolf.
The anger it had brought it to speed toward Ella who it could sense had caused the injury. But it was caught off guard again as Maria had stepped forward. She might have looked like a healer, but she was not a pure healer. Her daggers stabbed forward while the midnight eel lashed out with its tail from the back. Both put their opponent within a position of no quarter.
Get slashed or get smacked. The blood moon werewolf was strong enough. It grabbed the tail of the midnight eel, throwing it across the chamber entirely while it leaned back to avoid Maria. What it had not realized, was that Jerold had also made his move.
Bending in to the surroundings was much easier for him since the torches were causing the light and the darkness to be constantly flickering between one another.
When he struck out, his poisoned dagger stabbed deep in to the side of the blood moon werewolf before he backed away. He could see that the poison was already taking some effect since the blood moon werewolf was groaning over the injury.
Yet, when it stood back up, they all knew that poison of any sort would not be enough. "You think you can harm me so easily. I will tear you limb from limb and feed you to my minions!" The howl that echoed out carried blood energy with it. The entire cave echoed with the werewolf minion howling as well.
Their attacks became more frantic as did the blood moon werewolf whose body seemed to bulge. The blood energy radiated through its body causing the fur to stand on end and the claws to grow. A red aura radiated around its body while its blood red eyes pierced through them.
Clark tried to counter this transformation by slashing across its chest with his spear, but he only left a shallow cut that began to heal faster than it should have. Reese tried the same, but he and his partner could not leave as deep a mark as Clark could. The only answer would be to use even more energy. But they knew that this was a greater risk.
The more energy they used here, the worse the battle would be later. There were more powerful monsters. More members of the blood moon cultists deeper. They had started to push deeper the moment that they had been discovered. That was why the other floors were left in disarray. Why this monster had been left here to do as he wished.
"You should all go on without me. I will handle this." Brad had fallen in to a hyper focused state. He cared about this battle and only this battle. He wanted to win. he wanted to crush this opponent. He hated that this monster was using the blood energy to become a murdering machine.
It was all the exact opposite of himself and his possessed armaments. They used the blood energy to become more powerful. Learned to control it so that they could become an unstoppable defense that would protect their friends. That would defend the very values that everyone strived to achieve through all their effort. Why in the hell could he let this monster live and ruin what he stood for!?
Before the others could say anything, Clark spoke up. "Let him be. Brad will crush him." Clark didn't doubt a thing, he saw the change in the analysis between Brad and his possessed armaments. He saw that Brad had finally overcome the greatest downfall of the blood energy since he had awakened it through his unique taming space and growth.
With Clark ushering them away toward the stairs to the sixth floor and through the battle going on, the blood moon werewolf growled. "Pathetic fleeing rabbits. I will consume you and all of your army later."
"No, you are going to be crushed and cut in to pieces. Pray to whatever you believe in, this is your last stand." Brad spoke with an eerie voice. It resonated with the metal energy and his very own heartbeat. The entirety of the possessed armaments were also shivering. Not in fear, but excitement.
This was a battle. A real battle. One that they had waited for. One that they were very much prepared for. So why would they frown upon this? It could feel Brad's calmness.
His focus. It could praise how grand their joint ambitions were.
In a flurry of blood and metal energy, the possessed armaments grew covering the entirety of Brad's body. The completed form had been held back by the lack of flowing energy. The stored metal and blood energy just waiting for the right time to move forward when Brad and the possessed armaments could control it.
A single beat of Brad's heart matched the resonance of his possessed armaments. A deep crimson energy mixed with a black metal energy oozed off them. This was like a black blood knight making its way out of midnight itself to hunt down its victims. Nothing would escape it. Nothing would be able to harm it. Nothing.
