Spirit Taming

Chapter 762: Gruesome Message

Chapter 762: Gruesome Message

"Enemy spotted!" the shout brought the attention of every single soldier of their joint army to a focus. Not only did many of them and their beasts prepare for a fight, they also began to channel large amounts of energy.

This was much grander than what Clark and the group had expected. They could sense every single bit of energy that was being channeled through the air. The sheer amount made them understand just what depth they had reached when they had successfully brought these races in to an alliance.

Clark focused ahead of him, he was glad for the levs and their sharp eyes. Because they had spotted the monster heading toward them, everyone was able to prepare for the incoming attack.

It was at least twenty larger beasts. They were the size of a large garden shed, not a poor representation since they were slightly smaller than a carriage. Their speed though, was faster than a carriage. Merchants would have been jealous of their speed if these weren't monsters.

'Melting skin rhino- monster

This is a torch rhino and a human that have been forcefully fused together through vast amounts of experimentation to create an intelligent monster. However, the pain of the fire energy running rampant through the body of the fire and earth type beast causes the mind to be completely broken. Therefore, this monster is only able to attack and let itself run wild.

The earth affinity uses it to have extremely tough skin which is why the torch rhino is known to be one of the hardest beasts to tame in the wilderness. They can take various attacks and be incredibly stubborn. However, as a monster, the melting skin rhino is slowly losing its dense skin the more that it fights.

The build up of fire energy can not be expelled through its breath and steps as it naturally would while fighting. This is causing the flames to slowly destroy it from within. When it reaches a certain point, the fire energy will erupt out of it causing a large ball of flames to sweep through the direct areas…'

"They are going to self destruct unless we pierce their skin and release the fire energy within. Those with fire resistance move to the front!" Clark shouted this out so that the commander of the dwarves could make a move.

As he heard this, the commander sent some of the large mechanical golems. They are piloted by the dwarves that created them. Naturally, they had a very high fire tolerance because of the work that dwarves focused on. This was why they could forge, and why they were best for this situation.

'Striker golem- ultra rare

The striker golem is a dual metal and fire affinity golem. It is partially created due to the fact that its weaker base was the spirit beast aspect. However, it can only forge its own body with the assistance of its tamer. An incredibly unique beast that has hidden spiritual affinities if it is able to…

This golem can wield both a forge hammer and a battle hammer depending on how much it has developed its body. Using its ability to channel flames, it can forge easily but excel in spreading flames when battling…'

Clark read a few unique pieces of information about these unique golems. He was amazed that a beast which the dwarf race had naturally as spirit beasts could forge its own body like this. Both a beast and a piloted golem. A form of unity between beasts and tamer that was outside what Clark and the others had seen before.

He would surely tell them of the potential spiritual third typing it could grow in another growth stage. The beast plan would be very valuable.

For now though, he wanted several line up with large double headed hammers brimming with flames. The fires spewed from their mechanical bodies before they slammed them down on the earth before them. The slate suddenly becoming super heated and flames shooting forward.

Their joint attack forced the already melting skin on the melting skin rhinos to go beyond a certain point. In an even larger explosion of flames which threw heat over the entire army, the rhinos were dealt with. "First threat eradicated, march forward toward the dungeon discovered. Our scouts will need assistance if they have been found!"

"Follow the dwarven mechanical golems. They are the best defense from the flames if more monsters like those come. Fire your arrows around them!" The elves found a unique potential in this situation. They could fire arrows without worries of being attacked easily. They were not in a forest as they normally enjoyed. They had nowhere to hide or use as advantageous terrain.

Instead, they had the dwarves.

With the pace becoming slower, the scouts that could move faster began to move ahead slightly. Their aerial beasts being the optimal way to spot the changes around the fallen slate mountain. Many different spots had piles of slate that could be used as an optimal hiding space for a monster.

Yet, it was odd that there were none to be seen. Well, until they began to appear in front of the dungeon area.

There was a shout from the elf captain as he realized what they were seeing. Realized that the odd shapes of the slate up ahead were not broken areas where monsters had traveled. No, it was evidence of a battle ground. Also, evidence that the scouts sent in the first scouting mission to wait and watch the dungeon were not scouts any longer.

'Tree of faces- monster

This is a whipping vine beast that had been forcefully fused with various elves. The forced fusion using a large amount of demonic blood infused potion had left a monster that should not exist in its place.

The earth and blood affinity of this monster is horrifying since it allows the tree to grow in any area with earth energy. Furthermore, it has become brutally twisted. It now collects the bodies of those that it defeats and uses its blood affinity to assimilate the faces on to its limbs and trunk.

It will use its roots to pierce and attack others along with the vines it whips out around it. The best method to suppress this thing is to use light energy which will purify the evil that permeates this monster. To think that a monster is pure evil is perfectly correct with this monster.

This was a random experiment by the blood moon cultists, but seen as a great success since it was closer to their goal…'

Nothing that Clark had in his stomach agreed with what he was seeing. The blood that stained the slate around the brown bark tree along with the pained faces of the elven scouts could not be erased from his mind.

"Light energy will purify that evil thing." He spoke calmly to the captain of the elves. He could sense the rage that every elf had seeing their people used in an experiment like this. Seeing their people treated like toys to be played with by the blood moon cultists. They were still in pain. The scouts needed to be freed.

The elves with bows and light energy arrows drew them back. In unison, their arrows flew through the air. The tree of faces began whipping out violently sensing the approaching attack. Some of its roots shot out trying to reach the potential prey far off in the distance. However, it was a failure for it.

The tree of faces was pierced by hundreds of arrows. The light energy permeating is evil, existence. Several more powerful light type beasts also used their skills to fire light energy at the tree and caused the bark to be disintegrated. Nothing should be left of this message from the blood moon cultists.

"They are trying to provoke us. We will not let them win." Reese spoke out with his knuckles white. He wanted to charge in as well. He knew very well that they would see more horrors as they moved in to the dungeon.

'Domino dungeon- ultra rare

Featuring twenty floors, the domino dungeon has beasts of increasingly larger sizes as the floors go downwards. The chambers are massive caves that could house thousands of people. Some are connected to multiple rooms while others are one massive open chamber of stone.

Unique herbs that rely on earth, darkness, and even water or wind energies grow within the chambers depending on the terrain. Each floor can be slightly different until the final floor which is considered the most dangerous since the beasts born there are naturally territorial and the largest…'

Clark saw that the analysis was not telling him which beasts were there. He just understood that the final beasts at the bottom of this dungeon were very dangerous. But where he focused was that he gained information on the cultists.

'The fifth floor is the main base of the blood moon cultists who have been attempting to capture the most powerful beasts to use…'

That was all he needed to see.
