Chapter 747: It's Too Much

Chapter 747: It's Too Much

"Another one here!" Isa shouted as she killed another one of the shadow swarm centipede sections. But it wasn't what she was referring to either. There were many monsters around. They were all trying to kill the dwarven monsters or the dwarfs. Right now, she and Grace were finding another victim.

The woman they found was laying on the ground, the monster had been about to pounce on her, but had been stopped by the metal wreckage around her. Naturally, this had been pure luck because it had given enough time for Isa to arrive and send a spear of ice through the damaged carapace of the monster.

"We have her, we can stop the bleeding before we get to Maria who can heal the wound, or at least close it up." This was not the first dwarf that had been found with grave injuries. Three had similar injuries since the group had been left behind by Clark and Jerold, and they had seen them perish. Now, they would not let that happen again.

Sprinting ahead, Isa cleared the path for grace. The youngling phoenix had been watching from the sky creating a snow of ice to help along the strength that was gained from the winter witch. Both working together created a cold environment that slowed the monsters along with keeping the flames down.

This skill combination was in drastic contrast to what Ralph and Brad were doing. They were fighting in brutal heat and smoke.

As Ralph had called out the dragon welp and the molten boar, the two had been increasing the heat around their fighting area more and more. Because of this, they had attracted the attention of many more monsters.

As they were attacked constantly, Brad had been fired up himself. He had slashed through multiple monsters, dwarven or insect alike. Because of this, he had become coated in different bloods. Creating a terrifying appearance as he and his possessed armaments radiated a bloodthirsty aura.

While not exactly using the berserk skill, anyone witnessing this would understand that there was nothing but blood and brutality in the methods of defending and attacking Brad used. He did not show a single bit of flinching or fear. He showed an indomitable will that crushed the wrongful monsters that had come to him with harmful intent.

"One large one incoming, another golem monster!" Ella's warning came from her and her partner. The spirit infant could not battle per say, instead, it had spread out a thin layer of spiritual energy that could help Reese along with warn the others when dangers were near.

She had held herself back from allowing all her beasts to appear so that she did not wear out her own body in case they had a worse opponent appear.

The spirit infant's warning came when they ended it. When a tougher monster had appeared. If Clark had been there, he would have been able to use some insight and tell them what opponent they were witnessing. But for now, no one but the heavens knew what this monster was.

'Mechanical flesh golem- monster

The mechanical aspects and the flesh aspects of mechanical golem and dwarf were forcefully mixed together causing united pain. With this, the mechanical golem spirit partner, one of the few naturally appearing mechanical golems in the dwarven race, and the dwarf, fused together.

This caused the golem to lose its will and natural spirit. The pain of this happening completely shattered the soul of the dwarf as he fused together with the gears of the golem's body. Due to this, the monster left behind screams out in pain as the blood from the dwarf's body acts as fuel for the mechanical aspects of the golem.

The stretched skin over metal is a very tough defense from energy based magical attacks and also from physical attacks. However, when cut, the steam heated blood pours out and burns whatever caused the wound. On top of this, the oils from the mechanical golem half do the same.

The best way to end this monster is to pierces the fused heart and core exposed in the center of the chest. It was exposed as the flash and metal cracked open during the fusion process. The metal energy…'

This monstrosity made Ralph grimace. He had fought the metal hammer dwarves and the others with fused weapons or tolls on their body that caused their skins to become metal. But this was another horrible monster that just should not be. He swore he could hear it screaming too. Suffering with every movement.

The gears that moved and tore its own flesh made him want to vomit. But as he charged in and channeled the heat from his partner, the molten boar, he also felt additional energy flowing through him.

The dragon well respected Ralph's strength. Their bind was a foundation of equal power where Ralph's will was the top of the top. Unbreakable in every single way. That was where their bond of respect came to birth. Because of this, the dragon welp understood what Ralph felt looking at this being made of suffering and no real strength.

That was why he shared the dragon fire within its very heart with him. The precious dragon energy that allowed him not to be some lizard.

Dragon flames sparked up over the ax as Ralph slashed down. Cutting through the metal body of this monster was nothing compared to this new attack shared by his partners. The control of flames for his molten boar and its fusion with metal too. Then the dragon energy added to manipulate the flames was enough.

The flames surged around the mechanical flesh golem. Burning away the fleshy aspects of it and exposing the core entirely. The beating heart wiring with gears allowing Brad an ideal target. His possessed armaments sword striking true and severing the monster's core heart without a single added bit of effort.

"We don't have any other monsters nearby. Return to help Maria." Ella gave the order. Since Clark and Jeorld had left, she had been changing the battle plans. This was all because Mariaa was hard at work healing.

The potions were being used on bandages to stretch them out. They had a decent few, but the effects could not be used to just heal one person. Because the group kept splitting to get more injured, she had been left mostly alone. Not that this was an issue. Currently, Reese had taken a shift soaking and wrapping bandages for her.

The soaked bandages were placed over burns, cuts, and smaller injuries. They would close the wounds or heal what they could. This also acted as the ideal stopgap for Maria to focus more attention on the large wounds.

"Reese, wrap the burns on the little girl's leg. Then help me cover that man's face with bandage patches. I need to stop the bleeding of this woman's missing leg." Maria's healing was fully focused on the worst. The woman that had just been dropped off by Grace and Isa was in critical condition. But she was alive!

Since Lit was acting as the main whaler, Maria was working as the assistant. The whaling energies being used had to be guided by lit carefully. Therefore, Maria needed to be the one to stop bleeding and provide the right environment for healing.

Right this second, she stopped the arteries and veins from bleeding using pressure and the correct clamping techniques. This allowed Lit to methodically apply healing spiritual energy and numbing poisons to the leg in question. Those who witnessed this, would understand the depths of knowledge being used.

Maria was using a set of techniques that would take many people years to even reach an experienced mastery in. right now, she would be thought of as a master. Lit was also guiding spiritual energy with such precision that someone would imagine the beasts having the ability to do surgery entirely alone. Delicate movements that protected every small wound. A beauty of its own variety.

A large gust of wind came from the mountain above. Maria only spared a single glance upwards while she refocused her mind. She could not put all of her attention on the battle that Clark and Jerold were currently in. While she worried, she did not see the point of putting effort in to thinking about it. If she grew distracted, then she and all the injured here would perish.

"We found another two on the way back. One is a child that was inside a golem. The golem was broken but he is just unconscious. The other needs a small potion but she is fully awake and conscious." Brad and Ralph each carried a dwarf. The woman Brad carried was looking at the injured with wide eyes.

"If she is fine she is going to help along with the others. Just have Maria evaluate her then have her join in bandaging the injured." Ella gave the order quickly as she took in the current state of things. "Fifty three injured, twenty four functional, ninety three dead found. It's too much."
