Chapter 733: Visit Again

Chapter 733: Visit Again

While the thought of staying longer occurred to everyone, the group found that they had a lot more to do that what they had realized.

Just off of the dangers that the elven territory faced, they knew that there was a high chance the dwarves would be in the same, if not worse, situation. The blood moon cult was making moves against everyone at the same time.

The fact that they had more than sent a group of monsters at the elves was just a fact of it. They had even used the humans they captured after destroying two entire cities to do it. That simple fact, was why the group worried that they should have split up to handle the risks of the blood moon cultists.

The dwarves might be tougher in a sense, but they were also at risk here. The blood moon cutlists were not fighting in any basic way. They were conniving and cruel. They were abusing those that they captured.forcing them to become their weapons. Mindless and tortured weapons.

Beyond that, their hidden bases were the greatest of issues. They had managed to keep them hidden by taking in cultists from the nearby city. This was where things proceed that the colonists had been wearing away at the minds of people for a longer time than what anyone realized.

Their ideals that the methods taken to become a monster were the proper way to grow in strength, the proper way to become what everyone should be, was ridiculous. It was worse than any attempted religion or set of ideals. It was simply madness.

The way that they had tortured the beasts within that dungeon was scarring as well. Many of the elves that had seen the sights within would not be forgetting it. The group was much the same. They had more or less sat awake while attempting to sleep a little before they went off to the edge of the elven territory.

There were some things that just stayed within the mind when you closed your eyes or had them open.

When Clark found himself preparing to leave, he was surprised to see that Jasmine was there. She had slight flecks of clay on her clothing. Enough that it was clear to him she had been using the technique he had gifted her.

"I wanted to pass on the good faith you have given me. Regardless of your methods, you did help me more than even my own family has. I understand the politics of my people are nto the same as humans…. But they are something I need to be powerful to handle." she clenched her fists.

As much as Clark wanted to say that he wasn't doing it just to help her, he felt that it wasn't necessarily all true. He had seen the state of her beast and hated it. He had wanted to ensure that the issue was fixed. While the blood moon cultists were monsters by choice, some people were just ignorant.

That had been an issue that he had noticed more than a few times. The ignorance that came with the unknown. Too many people had no idea how to properly grow their beasts. Regardless of their desires to ensure that their beasts grew in more unique ways, they just didn't know what they were doing.

Ella had been a perfect case of this, she had researched wisps and was sure that they could grow more than just the ways everyone had recorded before. However, she had lacked the right bits of knowledge to take the right steps. She had just been wise enough not to move forward until she knew everything she needed.

"When you come back, you will have a place in my family home. My sister will not be bothering your family either." From Jasmine's perspective, this group was a family. That just made sense since the way they acted showed that. Every move they made had a subconscious reaction from one of the others. Clearly, they were closer than just a squad of team.

"I will be interested to see how strong your clay golem gets by then. It looked pretty happy in the mud baths." Clark gave Jasmine a smile as he saw a few of the matriarch's guards approaching. It appeared that they would be getting an escort from the city to the transportation that she had them taking.

The others had heard Clark speaking to Jamsone, they all approved of the bonds they would have here. Especially since they had been able to reach their goal in a better way than just on paper. They had actually managed to create a reason to build a relationship within this alliance. It could span for many years too.

As they left, the group felt it was a little sad since it was during the night. They had fought the cutlists at night and rested during the day. This odd sleeping schedule made them traveling at night again. Yet, that was just the life they lived right now. They would not be wasting any more time just sitting around. They needed to make their move toward the dwarven territory now, rather than later.

The tree branches moved to allow them room to walk. The entire city was controlled by the matriarch's partner. A secret beast so to speak that would only help the people at all times. It would be an invaluable ally if it were to leave here. Not that it would. It guarded the safety of thousands of elves within the trees.

The higher they climbed, the more that the group felt that they were seeing more than what they had expected. The small lights from lower branches making it appear that flowers of light were moving in the trees. Beyond that, large lightning bugs moved around the branches too. Other beasts moved from here to there, but they were not nearly as eye catching.

The large branch that they made their way to had been grown so that it was more like a platform. It had a curving shape where many smaller beasts had landed. Avian beasts that could easily flit about the branches without any issues.

"Our matriarch has given us permission to send you off on one of our greatest prides."

The sudden shift in the wind made them all look at the beast landing right in front of them. The vibrant green feathers shimmered with powerful wind energies. Its elegant aura was the same as the elves in the ways they dressed and acted.

'Elven wind glider- ultra rare

This beast is one that is specifically bred and raised by the wind elves. They have the powerful wind affinity that allows them to greatly adjust to just about any wind, no matter how violent.

They are known to fly across vast distances just to ensure that they find the ideal nest for their eggs to be laid and hatched. They will also gather prey from large distances away just to ensure that they are eating the best of the best for them to grow.

Their elegant nature has made them a king of the skies. They will ensure that they always fly higher than other beasts nearby. This is to show their powerful wind control along with ensuring that they are known as the top predator in that area.

They can send powerful gusts of wind blades at enemies if they are attacked, but prefer not to do so due to their delicate appearance.

Many wind elves will closely bond with a wind glider, this is due to them sharing a very similar wind affinity naturally. This is also why some wind gliders are known as family members, or even known as the second spirit beast for some wind elves. If one is to see a flock of wind gliders, it is better to know that it is a family of wind elves flying through the skies instead.

While they do not grow in to another form, they will grow larger over the years. Depending on the wind energy they consume, they can grow larger at a faster rate. For the wind elves, being able to raise one at the top of their highest tree is an exceptional honor that will represent the wind elves for generations…'

There was a lot of history in this analysis. However, Clark could only be more impressed. It appeared that the elves cherished these beasts more than most. Specifically because of the wind energy sharing that came between them. A brilliant example of how the elves and nature bonded so closely.

"It will be an honor to us to be guided by this wind glider to the edge of the territory." Clark saw the guards perk up their heads realizing that Clark understood how important this beast was.

"It took thirty elves to raise this little one. Now it's time to let it show off what we are capable of." One of the guards gave a wave to the wind glider which caused it to lower its body for the group to climb on. A carefully crafted wooden saddle there for them to hold on to.
