Spirit Taming

Chapter 729: Crush The Second Floor

Chapter 729: Crush The Second Floor

"Crush them." Ella's voice was filled with anger as she looked at the cultists who had used the dark spirits as materials to fuse with their bodies. They were monsters that did not deserve a single thought from her whether or not she would let them live.

The earth prince who had been called out used its strength to control the stone walls of the cavernous dungeon. Its power here was much more because of the fact that this dungeon was a cavern. The darkness energy was strong, but because the dungeon was made of stone to create that environment, the earth prince had a significant boost.

Spikes of toughened stone shot up piercing the distant cultists. It was an insanely powerful attack using the earth energy below them and a decent chunk of energy from the earth prince. However, this was just evidence of how much it had grown.

With how much Ella had adjusted her body to the powerful elemental energies of her partners, she was able to call them out for longer along with calling multiple of her partners out of the taming space. On top of that, they could use more energy than before without overwhelming Ella at all.

The strikes that keep coming from the earth prince made the way very clear for her to push forward. She wasn't even wielding a weapon right now since the earth prince didn't need her help at all. It had a slightly arrogant personality now. But that came with its strength in the earth. A bit stubborn.

Clark knew better than to stop her. He never saw Ella acting like this. The fact that she was angry meant a lot right now. She had researched and cared for wisps of all kinds. That was just the benefit of having one as her spirit beast to start.

Because she understood who the wisps lived as weak beasts consumed by others, she knew very well that they had struggled since their birth. Wisps needed time to absorb the elemental energy that they were made of. Time to alter their form and grow uniquely.

Without that time, they were preyed on. Ella had witnessed that and begun to gather wisps to protect them while she researched a way to grow her own partner. When Clark had given her enough information to finish that puzzle, she had leaped at the chance.

The wisps had fused and become powerful. Had become strong enough that only a few of their united selves remained in a purer elemental form. Her spirit beast, the spirit infant, and the others.

These beasts had strength that showed the world not to prey on the wisps because they could become vicious without anyone realizing it. On top of that, it gave others who had wisps as partners a chance. A way to grow and a clear path to tread.

More of the cultists rushed at them but found themselves crushed by stone. The earth prince even went so far to strengthen the second floor passageway to allow more of the elf's room to push ahead as well.

The second floor was also cleared enough for the cultists to make room. However, while the first floor of this dungeon had been made int to a cage, the second… It was a butchery.

The black bats were cut in to pieces. Wings hung from the ceiling. Various smaller black bats were chained and waiting to be bothered or raised to be butchered. The cultists moving around the hanging chains and butchering tables were more vicious as well.

'False Black vampire- monster

Using the blood of the black bats to constantly boost their bodies, these monsters have come to replicate vampires. However, they can only feed on the black bats. The longer they do this, the stronger they get. They are able to sprout bat wings and use powerful claws that have the same blood draining effects of the black bat's fangs.

Their features are warped by the black bat blood and they have poor eyesight but great hearing. They will easily be able to find out the location of an enemy that they wish to hunt.

Due to their loss of intelligence, they are more aggressive than most monsters. They will constantly throw themselves at an energy trying to drain them of all their strength. If they manage to get ahold of one, they will also bite in to them with decaying dark energy fangs…'

Clark shouted the information out loud. The opponents they had to fight did not care about what their enemy knew. They saw their enemies as prey after all. What monster thinking this would care about their weakness and strengths being known?

"Light arrows out, close your eyes!" one of the commanding elves heard Clark and reacted immediately. He knew that the bats were somewhat blind, so a bright flash of light should be very disorienting. Enough to give the elves a better advantage while they moved.

The wind elves also started to call out directions of attacks. Their bonds with the somewhat stagnant air within this floor allowed them to better sense when that air moved. It was a very clear example of how the elves had trained to use their different affinities together.

'Calm breeze bell- uncommon

This wind and metal beast is able to send out a small breeze. Whenever It rings, this breeze will cause the air to stir even more. As this happens, the beasts are able to map out a large location that is affected by its breeze and sound.

The tamer in charge of this beast is able to easily use the shared information from their beast., after that, it will be easier for them to move about without needing to see anything…'

Clark spotted a few of these calm breeze bells. Not many people would see value in these beasts, however, the elves could use them extremely well wherever they were. They could always amp out their surroundings.

When the dark elves received their orders, they moved to attack as the light elves kept blinding the false black vampires. It appeared that Ella had not been the only one angered.

Using beasts as livestock was not a new thing for any race. What was different here though, was how the livestock was treated. The black bats here were treated with cruelty and pain. Constantly drained of their blood then used as materials to keep strengthening the monsters. They did not show a single bit of care or love to these beasts.

Clark just moved according to some of the orders of the wind elves. He didn't intend to break out of any possible formation. They had taken the lead showing their strength. So he had to play a fair part in their plan.

Cutting down the false black vampires led to the freeing of multiple black bats. They even reacted with instant attachment when the water elves and spirit elves started to heal them. It was clear that they could sense the intentions of the elves to protect them. That just came with the elves being closer to nature though.

"Clark! I am staying behind to heal some of these beasts. They don't need to suffer." Maria did just what she was best at. She began to heal the black bats in grave standing right now. Her anger being pressed down by the elves that were also working very hard to ensure that the black bats were not erased from this dungeon due to the actions of the insane blood moon cultists.

This left an ominous feeling. The third floor where the worst beast should be, the dark slimes, was not showing any reactions. Yet, they had not encountered any cutlists that would be a leader here. That meant that they were sitting in waiting. The most powerful enemy that would most likely cause the most trouble. Was just waiting for them.

It wasn't a good feeling.

"I will take the lead." Brad took the front while Clark readied his lunar storm spear. It felt that they would end it both attack and defend at the same time. He looked around and found that Ralph had begun breaking chains on this second floor while Reese was doing the same.

Jerold had begun to pick off the hiding false black vampires. He was able to sneak around without being noticed by the ones hiding in the shadows waiting for their chances to attack. Since Isa and Grace had managed to help clean out the side passageways, this just left the third floor to be handled.

"We are heading deeper!" The final call for the movement came. Ella's earth prince forced the last narrow passageway open more before Ella was forced to call it back due to lack of energy. Not that it was an issue. She saw enough on the second floor to handle without needing to move forward.

She was also smart enough to know that Clark and Brad working in tandem alone would be enough to crush just about any opposition. She just had to trust them.
