Chapter 722: Different Market
Chapter 722: Different Market
"The flame streaked bush is an herb that was brought over from a small fire elf village. They deny anything that comes from the larger villages or cities. They prefer to live in the most natural way possible. That's how they developed an herb that only harvests the fire energy to grow. It allows them to be closer to their heritage."
Jasmine had started to walk up the branches that were guided down as walking paths. But she was gradually sharing more and more history when she referred to the herbs they passed by. This was simply because Ella was constantly taking notes and asking follow up questions.
'Flame streaked bush- rare
This herb may only be rare because it is only grown by those with the knowledge to do so. However, it is a valuable herb for the fire elves and certain beasts. The kind of fire energy is a calm fire energy that will nourish and assist the body in growth.
This fire energy is closely related to the warmth of a body and the warmth needed to properly live. Due to that, the beings that consume it will have a better ability to grow for a short while. Consistent consumption of this herb will greatly boost the growth of fire type beasts.
Making a potion using only the herb's inner fluids will create a very valuable flame nutrient supplement. This potion could be used to help hatch the eggs of certain fire type beasts. This will increase their potential by many times.
The fire elf village that developed this…'
Clark was also seeing a lot of the history that Jasmine was sharing with them in the analysis of each of these herbs. He was surprised that she was so knowledgeable. Yet. he was also somewhat expecting it. She was going to be a very prominent figure in the future if she kept on her current path.
What Clark had also expected was that he had already played a major role in keeping her on this path. Because they had already met twice now, Jasmine had been seen with a connection to him and therefore his group.
With that, the matriarch had made sure that she was the one giving them a tour and not anyone else that she assigned. It gave Jasmine the recognition over others that could rise and become the future earth elf elder. It was a very powerful card to use that had pushed Jasmine forward.
Jasmine had realized this to some degree. Hence why she was so willing to share so much about the history of the elves. She also knew very well that without her luck in meeting Clark, she would surely be dead, if not part of a monster herself. Instead of looking at things with negativity and keeping ahold of the general elven ways of looking down on others, she crushed those thoughts.
This was just a way for her to adapt, to grow stronger. That way she would not be looked down on herself. "The market is just up these pathways. Please Be careful. We do not have railings or anything like some humans would expect. I heard that there are cliffside villages humans live in that are similar." Jasmine knew that humans might not have the same sort of ability when in the trees as an elf.
"If anyone falls we will catch them. It will be fine." Clark knew that Crim would be ready to dart out and catch someone. The same with Grace and her young little phoenix. Besides that, they were all fairly powerful now. The height might be a lot, but there was a high chance they would survive a simple fall as long as nothing else were to happen.
That was just the result of their training and the higher amounts of energy from their partners.
"Our markets are not like what we have heard about humans who sell their goods separate from other things. We sell mostly herbs, food, and our goods mixed together. But the goods we sell are less controlled because they are all brought from nature in a way. Other race's goods are divided up and often kept away. It is not natural to sell them together."
"If you have anything you wonder about from the human side of things, we can help explain them. But we are more interested in the good elves produce and trade amongst yourselves. Also, hope would we pay for them? The elves still use gold and energy crystals, right?" Isa had the answer already. But she just wanted to hear it out loud to confirm.
"Gold is valuable for trades with other races so we will sell for that. But silver is a more valuable metal to us since we use to forge more often. Silver is more natural since many of the trees we have in our home world grow on and around the silver veins. It allows certain spiritual energies to travel through it better.
Over a hundred years silver from your world can become spirit silver much more easily than gold can acclimate."
Now this was what Isa was hoping to hear. "Thank you for confirming that." She was very glad that they had a decent stock of silver. They could also ask for the gold if they sold anything because that would be more valuable to them in the long run. Overall, it was a great way to make a lot more value while still making a decent trade.
The moment that they all made it higher in the trees, they saw that there were plenty of different branches forming a twisted road of sorts. The elves had made their stalls right there out of vines and forked branches. Some were even some held in place since the elves responsible were still training the growing tree to become these stalls.
There were also many more elves. Some wore slightly more elegant clothing while others wore a fairly bit of simple but clean clothing. This showed their different standings. Those with the most ornate fabrics were being allowed ahead of others while those with plain clothing watched in respect and awe.
Seeing that the elves lived with this sort of class system. This made Clark think about the corruption of the humans he and the others were working on dealing with. But he also knew that the elves were more focused on appearance than beating others down for their own greed. Not that it was impossible.
Pushing these thoughts from his mind, he realized that plenty of elves were watching them now. But they held themselves back. The rumors about humans being allowed to roam their cities with a guide were enough to make some waves. That didn't mean that the elves would be friendly.
Since this was the case, the group didn't split up. Instead, they walked stall to stall. The fruits and vegetables were enough to be surprising since many of them were very hard for humans to grow. However, here they were extremely common due to the elves having a much closer relationship to nature. It came naturally to them to grow these difficult plants.
"They have an entire fruit stall with floating apples. Those apples need to be grown floating in a pond or else they will rot in to a dried mess. It's impossible to grow for our farmers due to the strict care requirements." Isa knew that each of these apples sold for insane prices. Even without their high water energy, they were valuable for their flavor.
"I see many woods with metal qualities. I think we should buy some. The elves can forge wood like metal. Especially those woods." Ralph was focusing on the large stall ahead which appeared to be doing a great deal of business.
Since the elves focused on nature, they grew unique trees and harvested unique plant type beasts. Some that were extremely powerful when it came to the mixed energies of metal. They could have the same qualities of metal. Therefore, a bow made of them would be the very same strength or better than a bow made of pure metal forged for longer and more prone to breaking.
The resistant woods would also be able to be forged with certain techniques. Ones that sued different elemental energies that Ralph could not even dream of suing right this second. He had a lot of training to be able to do this. But the unique hammer techniques he had begun to earn from General Green could be used here. He just had to get strong enough.
"I want to examine the spirit silver too. I needed to learn about it." The more that Ralph focused on these things the more Clark realized that Ralph had become a very goal driven person. His hottie attitude seemingly gone in place of a growing hunger to learn more as a blacksmith.
"So these are the ones my sister is guiding. I heard she would be moving through the city and decided to stop here for some tea leaves. Yet, it appears she is not even telling them the greatness of each material our elves work so hard to create in tandem with nature."
