Chapter 690: Attached
Chapter 690: Attached
The way that Grace made her decision left no one with a word to say against her. Even Clark felt that this was the right moment to do thus.
Yes, the injury had happened fairly recently. They had been in the violent jungle. However, since that time, Grace had been able to greatly recover due to their experiences within the jungle. Within the dungeons of the violent jungle.
The benefits from the unique atmosphere of the butterfly paradise dungeon had been enough to greatly relieve the injury that grace had suffered to herself due to the partial fusion with the first finch.
While still foolish, it had saved them from a pack of beasts in the water. Therefore, no one had faulted Grace. But now, she had to handle the last of the injury she acquired. Due to it, her frost finch had suffered and even grown weaker. This wasn't because it lacked energy, but because it forcefully held back energy.
The disparity created between them was enough for the partners to become unstable. The bond to suffer some damage of sorts. Yet, as the two had worked to recover their injuries, they had grown much more.
The frost finch had defined itself more. The body made of ice was not just a body made of ice. It carried the purer wind and ice energy within it. This made its existence a much more solid form than before.
Grace also learned that the damage being repaired between them had greatly improved the bonds. The flow of energy in general between them had a much higher potential. Would it work this way for everyone? No, the risk was too great and without Clark there to help, Grace would have died. If he had not gained the analysis, he would have been unable to tell the group what he needed help with to save her.
With so many herbs available from the vaults of Nova Academy, it was clear that grace had grown in confidence. She had the list of herbs and methods to consume them from Clark. Beyond that, when Illia had arrived, she did not hesitate to see how Grace was.
Learning that Grace and the group had gone in to the deep wilderness was a shock. It was even worse when Illia heard Grace tell her about their potential demise when they crossed a river within the violent jungle.
This all spurred Illia to help Grace much more. Share the ice energy that she and her partners had while also sharing the herbs that she had. While Illia knew she had a little more in terms of resources than most people, she did not flaunt that. She would gladly give them up to those that needed them.
This sort of attitude was why Nebula was still growing well. The power of Illia's mother could crush anyone that wished to take the city over. But the kind upbringing and attitude of Illia as her mother's daughter, showed a change that was also happening within Nebula.
Things just further became accented when the alliance betweenClark's group and Nebula was formed. Many people wondered why Nova City should be attached to Nebula. That was until the rumors of a clean up effort had spread. It was an effort to recover the horrid place known as Nova City was.
Even more so, the new rumors to be spread about Nova becoming Aphelion City would greatly encourage change in every city. The Universal alliance alone, was a reason for many people to look toward a better future with less leadership battles within their city and more potential for everyone.
"I will handle the ice. Isa, I know that you have a winter witch, but can you have it focus on keeping the ice energy from escaping while my partners draw out the unique ice energy from the herbs I brought? They eat them, so they are used to the energies within the herbs." Illia made sure she saw Isa nod. Isa was just focusing herself and did not bother to speak much. This was an important event.
"I can help too if you need.' Purple felt that he was a little out of sorts. Just standing and letting this all happen felt awkward. He was used to more hands on forms of training or helping others.
"You can be ready to sprint for more healers if things go wrong. You are one of the fastest between all of us. Maria will be ready to heal right away. But that's pretty much it. Sorry." Illia looked a little sad knowing that she was not letting Purple have much, but that was just the way things were.
The patterns being drawn on the ground were done by Ella. She knew well that making the right runic patterns so that energy could flow properly was her strong suit. She was the only one in the group that had studied many of the runic formations, energy flow rates, and various other methods to guarantee that energies moved in a certain way.
This research had all be done in relation to the wisps and a better potential for them. But now, they proved many times over more valuable in every single instance that the group managed to grow. She was an integral part.
"I am going to start." Being outside toward the end of the day also helped with this. The air cooling had a natural change in wind and water energies. Grace could sense the colder breeze coming from her one side. This feeling was what she and the first finch could use when grasping the more complicated wind energies that has birthed the frost finch before it was even a frost finch.
Maria had taken the herbs as instructed and ground them in to a past. This paste was both handed to Grace and also spread on the icy feathers of the frost finch. The odd complexion was besides the point right now, not that it wasn't comical.
'Unstable glacial breeze paste- ultra rare
Using the chill bloom flower, ice shelf root, pale gold bloom leaf, and the frigid salon grass as core components, this herb paste holds various competing ice type energies. The wind type energies added due to the flowing cloud herb, the cotton sprout, shimmering wind vine, and the gust lion flower act as the greatest core opponent to the ice energies.
Ingesting this or smearing it on a beast, could greatly increase the flow of ice and wind energies. However, if not controlled, it will greatly overwhelm the bond and the tamer with energy. It must be done with the utmost care…'
This was what the risks were. But when Grace ate the paste and the energy crystals were placed, no one said a word.
Clark's eyes followed every single movement between the pair. He watched as the large unshapen chunk of ice on the frost finch shattered. They were the ice and wind energies trapped and held by it to protect Grace. With them releasing, it was a sign that they were balancing out one another.
He also noticed the paling skin on Grace's face. The small bits of red color from the wind budgeting her cheeks even though the breeze they could feel was slight. The frost growing on her hair that shouldn't be able to form unless there was very dense ice energies around the entire body.
He also noticed that a profound change was happening beneath the ice of the first finch's body. Instead of the clear win filled insides that it had, there was an intricate system of biology forming. It was becoming a beast that used wind and ice to literally make up a working biological body fro itself.
Much greater than the form it once had where it was just a mass of wind energy moving around with grace.
The winter witch struggled to contain as much of the energy as it could. Meanwhile, the wind energy that tried to escape was held back by isa due to her fusion with her beast. But it was also helping Isa. helping her wind type partner properly grow in to the true wind monarch it should be later in life instead of still being weaker right now.
When a larger pulse of ice and wind broke Isa's control, even Ilia retreated. She felt that she and her partners could not aid this event any longer. She had felt her energies being taken away by the hungry growth that Grace and the first finch were going through.
Green and blue patterns formed along Grace's body. Almost like tattoos. However, Clark only became more breath taken as he watched. This was all due to the complicated changes to the analysis.
As a tamer that was accomplishing something great, Grace was making history. She was stepping well beyond what would have been known because she had unknowingly attached a portion of her soul and her partner's soul, closer together. Even Clark had not seen that in the analysis when they had harmed themselves protecting the group.
