Chapter 687: Visitors
Chapter 687: Visitors
"When I volunteered to come here, I was not expecting to find that my sparring partner has become a healer." Out of all the times for Purple to arrive, he had arrived with the first major shipment of materials from Terra City. he had arrived right when Clark was leaving another of the medical tents.
"Oh, and you are supposed to be a fighter, but here you are, just a delivery boy with way too much muscle." Clark was not going to be easy to catch. To be fair though, Purple was one of the friends that the entire group had made who was willing to see all of them as equals no matter what.
That was just what came out of training with a single goal. To become stronger to protect your values. Purple held a lot of respect for that, especially because the group did not mock anyone for their methods of becoming stronger. Especially when they were working hard.
"Oh! Looks like we will have more to do now that you're here." Maria came out behind Clark was was very surprised. She had not expected to see anyone from Terra City that they recognized right away. Especially since the information about the blood moon cult would make the previously named, Niva City, a very risky place.
"It's nice to see you as well. I actually spent a month doing training outside of the city. I used the risks and patrols as a way to familiarize myself better. I even developed a better bond with my partner and unified our minds better." As if processing this, Purple's eloquence was much higher that what it had been. He even appeared to show more emotion than before.
"That's even better, I know that you thought you would be limited, but your partner is a very unique case. You might be limited in some ways to how strong your body will grow, but what about your mind and soul? Can't you learn to flawlessly use energy? Can't you improve intelligence? What about your organs? Not just your muscles?"
This list of hyper focused ways for Purple to get stronger was exactly the same as he had thought. But Clark had not mentioned this to Purple when they were training together. He knew very well that Purple lacked the ability to do so. To be able to grow his very insides and mind first. Purple was too focused on strength and battle techniques.
" I find the fact that I was not mentioned very rude." The cold gust of air that hit the group of three as the sound of another familiar voice came to them was a bit shocking.
"Illia?" Maria recognized it but did not believe that the daughter of the Nebula City lord would be here. Especially with so much risk around.
"I am here." Illia sounded matter of fact. She wasn't appearing as cold as she had when the group had first met her. Clark even noted more brightness to what eyes and ambient aura of energy around her. It appeared that with her father healthy, she had opened back up in to what most people her and their age would be.
"I wanted to see what exactly the alliance would be handling. I even saw some paperwork about how the alliance would be called the Universal alliance. Every city would have a home. I like it." Illia pet the small dragon hatchling on her shoulder. The cold air coming from it causing small bits of frost to appear on Illia's clothing.
"Your partner seems to have grown a little, but you have a new one now too?" Clark had not missed the other beast he had not seen when they were within Nebula City.
"I knew you would notice. I do, it was found with a bit of damage after the fight with the cultists' monsters. The pursuing guard squad managed to return with this little one. It was a wild beast captured by the cultists to be used as something of a material. The other items were not recovered, but this and a few others like her were.
'Tundra storm moth- ultra rare
Due to being abused and forced to subsist off only ice energy from the blizzards it was left in, this frost moth mutated and awakened the ancient blood line of its species. Due to this, the incredibly strength and power of ice type energy control to rapidly freeze targets.
Although mentally damaged, the physical repairs to its body allowed it to grow safely. It is now slowly improving as it is guided by a tamer that specializes in ice type beasts. The materials given have only been the best so that the healing process was increased by leaps and bounds.
While unable to grow past this form, it will take at least twenty years of training to reach the peak of what this species can do. When that is achieved, blizzards, below zero temperatures, and incredibly large attacks over an area can be achieved.
Currently, it is in the frost cloak form known for protecting from incredibly dangerous ice storms. That is what the species of frost moth beasts are often tamed for since they allow the exploration of the more dangerous tundra areas north of the Nebula City. However, due to the awakening of bloodlines and strength, this frost cloak can resist the dangerous ice type attacks of many beasts.
Even potentially the breath of an ice dragon if trained properly…'
"Tundra storm moth. Basically, you awakened the bloodline of this little one after it had been abused. Well, because it was abused it had the chance to awaken that. Now you guided it to safety and it has the chance to live. Good job." Clark was very proud of the allies he had. That the city now had.
Purple, who had not come in to contact with Illia during the tournament just knew that she and the group had gotten along well enough that the group had stayed with the city lord. However, nwo that he heard this, he was more impressed.
Clark's judgement was clear and concise. He did not ally with people that did not meet his values and were able to stand beside them. Purple knew from this small interaction that Illia was a worthwhile ally that deserved his respect. Therefore, he offered his hand to shake.
As the two made their acquaintance properly, Clark looked at his allies and wondered what else they could do from this point on. Their appearance meant that the additional supplies and more assistance in the form of guards had arrived at their city. It meant that everything was about to speed up immensely.
"Welcome to Aphelion City. It's new and just started to grow. We only have one way to go, towards the light." Maria beat Clark to explaining the new name of the city and what the goal was. Knowing that the name was made to be symbolic was a little cheesy, yet, Purple and Illia both appeared to enjoy it.
All the rumours about how terrible Nova city was and how it wasn't worth going to were about to change. It was a great way to allow the start of an alliance that could be bragged about. The corrupted city was reborn and turned in to a welcoming and beautiful place? Who else could boast such a thing.
Besides that, the fact that the entire alliance coming together to build the city as a place that would be welcome to all of the city's students and people would be even better. A city literally remade so that it could be the core of an entire alliance. That was inspiring alone.
"The others are off training and helping, but I would say that when I mention you two are here, we can work on other things. I have a feeling that you both didn't come just to act as a messenger to tell us that we are allies?" Clark knew very well that he had more than just allies. He had friends here.
"Yes! The the tournament of blacksmiths and crafters is happening on schedule. We have so many people coming to Nebula that it's impossible to count at this point! You all need to come before we host it!" Illia's energy was high. She clearly wanted to see them all visit Nebula city again in a few months.
"I will have to invite you as well. The flooding is subsiding in the deep caves. Entire new passageways were created. Seven new dungeons were discovered as well." Purple appeared to have caught a bug. Well, a slight addiction of sorts for exploring the deep caves.
"I think that after we handle the blood moon cult, we can choose to enjoy those events. We can happily visit both of your cities. But until then…" Maria appeared to be losing her energy. It wasn't that she was tired, but that she had to train and focus more. She could not allow herself to remain stagnant.
"Exactly, we can handle the issues with the blood moon cult together. And train now with our friends.' Clark changed the subject and saw Purple and Illia nod to him. Their eyes burning with energy.
