Chapter 686: Stop Thinking

"If you are going to lift that stone, you need to sit back more. Focus on the muscles running up your leg and feel the connection at the hips with your back straight." Ella saw that Brad was focusing on the basics of basics. He was helping the clean up from the battles.

But when she had noticed that he was trying to lift heavier and heavier pieces of rubble, she had to step in. While she did not have the strength training by comparison to Brade, she still had the knowledge.

When they had all begun training more seriously in Terra city with the focus on their bodies, Ella had made sure that she gained some knowledge about the best way to go about all of it. The best forms for lifting heavier weights. The best methods to build muscles. She had to know this since her older brother also had a very big focus on physical strength. He had taught Maria after all.

"You are saying that, but then you are focusing on meditating while trying to move too. Maybe you should ask Clark about how to do that?" Brad had been fine working alone. This was valuable strength training but also helping the many people trying to rebuild the city.

When Ella had wandered toward the area gathering information so that there would be a solid record of what the damage was and how there could be adjustments to streets, she had stopped here.

Her goal had been simple, learn a lot about the current state of the city, give her opinions about the future growth of the city for efficiency, then focus on the other projects happening within the academy grounds.

But, when she had seen Brad, she made comments about his training and realized that she was underestimating all the people working around them. They were doing very well and barely needed her guidance. That was simply because there was so much that had been desired for improvement that never happened, that plans had been in vaults just waiting for the chance to be used.

This was a massive benefit for the builders since they were fixing everything from water flow to sewage channels. It would greatly increase the livability of the entire city while also making it generally more appealing. That wasn't even to say what they were doing with the older buildings that were in dire need of repair due to neglect.

Now, Ella had gone to thoughts about her own weaknesses. The flow of energy from her beasts was too powerful. Therefore, she had an incredibly tough time keeping multitype out at once. The blue flame skeleton was so powerful that having its undead and fire type energy flowing through her bond with it caused her backlash.

The safest of her partners were the cloud sprite and spirit infant. They were the only ones that were easily called out at the same time. The earth prince was also able to move about relatively unharmed. But due to all this, her fighting capabilities were drastically reduced at all times. Luckily her mind usually made up for that.

"If I focus on the moving meditation that Clark usages, I will not have the same energies and style that adds to it. I need to find the energies that match what I am doing. If they even help me improve the strength of my body slightly, then even without a moving meditation technique, I will be stronger."

It was easy to see that even the smallest bit of energies that Ella was allowing in t her body while she began moving rubble too was having a great impact on her. It was making her body work harder while she moved many muscles to cause the rubble to move.

But if she could only ever do this and not properly create her own moving meditation technique, then she was still massively boosting her training ability with this minimal amount. Overall, she was able to train her body in energy usage and in strength. Two birds with one stone.

"I am just saying, you are focusing too much on how you are moving and not on the feelings of it all. When I have to train my mentality with my partner, we have to focus on the feeling of energy and our emotions. Maybe you should focus on the energies and just move yourself naturally instead of focusing on every small little detail of your body."

Seeing Brad take a more forward teaching approach other than remaining annoyed that he was being corrected over and over shocked Ella a little bit. She had been worried that he was going to just get angry at him.

"That's a very sound theory. Due to my intelligence and habits, I lack focus on instinctual movements. That leaves me lacking when I try to focus on the bonds with my partners to flow energy through. Wisps are a natural and instinctual species of beasts at their lowest level."

When Ella had studied the wisps, they were at the mercy of energies. They moved with nature over other things. Therefore, she understood that they had a lot of distractions of sorts. Nature was always changing and so were the wisps when it came to how they flowed.

"Just forget what you are doing and focus entirely on how your energy is flowing between your partners in your taming space. That's what I am doing." Brad knew well that he wouldn't have some special moving meditation technique. He and his partner were attached at the hip. Everywhere he went it was with him.

But he also had a slight desire for them to separate. He could see the growth of his possessed arms. The fact that it was almost an entire suit of armor after consuming more and more metal proved that it would eventually have the ability to stand on its own. When that time came, he and it would fight side by side similar to the style that Reese was already using.

However, he had a better sense that they would always be better together. They moved as one mind and body since they had been that way since it was just a possessed helm. They were stronger together. They could use better skills. They were just better.

When Ella started to kick away the thoughts that flowed normally and hyper focus on the energy between her and her partners, she sensed something immediately. Her partners stopped their movement within the taming space and started to meditate. They could feel her goals and decided to allow more energy to flow that they had always been holding abc to protect her.

The sudden feeling of weightlessness wasn't because she has actually grown lighter, but it was a subconscious burden being released from her. She had long been holding herself back because of her worries about being too weak. But with a full focus on energy moving through ehr body, Ella found that she had long adapted to more energy than she had let herself use.

This was all because she was too in her head about it.

As if to even mock herself more, she took a tentative and shaky step forward. She found that the stone she had just picked up felt heavier, but not unmanageable. Besides that, she also felt that she could just meander ahead to the rubble carts without issue. It was straightforward and simple.

Seeing that Ella was focusing just the same way that he did, Brad did not say a word. Instead, he focused on his own form as he lifted the stubble. Ella had a lot of good points and he would be a fool not to use that knowledge. He just had been frustrated with his focus being interrupted over and over when he wanted to train while helping.

As the two became hyper focused in the same way, they shared hours making a major difference in the city streets. Their work definitely showed off as to what kind of people they were. What they were working for. Furthermore, it showed that even though they would be going in to powerful positions, they were not above stepping down to the dirty work.

These sorts of attitudes had been forgotten due to the corrupted families. The Mourne family had never lifted a hand to clean up their messes. Just pay others a few gold to make it disappear. That mentality had caused a lot of damage to the general people.

Years of neglect had been the cause of many negative emotions from the general populace. It was why people never moved to Nova city when it was called Nova. Now though, it had a chance to welcome new blood. To welcome more hopeful people.

If one were to look at the plans for where Ella and Brad were working, they would see that it was planned out to be the newest and largest section of the business district. A place for all merchants and massive amounts of goods to travel through. The root to how Aphelion City would be able to grow its industry.
