Chapter 67: Exam Rewards

"I tire of this." In front of Clark, a perfectly clear slime appeared. It seems to lack many things that the other slimes had. Clark couldn't even see the slime core within it.

'Spatial slime King- Legendary (secondary body)

This may only be the secondary body of the spatial slime king, however, it is extremely powerful. A lime king is the highest a slime can possibly grow after consuming enough of its type materials or energy. This slime in particular has multiple skills that were unlocked but gaining extreme training in its spatial affinity. It is able to teleport through great distances.

It is also able to slit its body and hide its core away from the enemy. It is susceptible to powerful spiritual attacks but is overall extremely resistant to other attacks. Upon touching a major law of existence, space, it has gained unique skills that allow it to manipulate a dungeon long after its master has passed on.'

There were plenty more paragraphs of information under what Calrk had read. He felt that the information was too much to handle and his brain would overload.

'The host is advised to avoid looking at any beings that have touched upon a major law of existence. The information contained within is too much for the host's current level of strength.'

The system even choked in to warn Clark of this. It felt a little late but Clark was glad he learned this here and not during a major battle where he could have died. "Child. I may have shown you my strength but you should be fine now!"

The spatial slime king was unhappy that its first guest in so long was not even speaking to it. "I was just thrown by your strength. I haven't ever teleported like that…it was different." Clark felt that his body had been thrown from its center of gravity. He wasn't sure if it was the teleportation or if it was from looking at information he could not comprehend.

"It has been many years since I have used such skills on another. I will forgive you this once. You are the only student to make it this far since I assisted with the graduation exams. I released many of the fellow slimes I have helped grow that day." The spatial slime king seemed to enjoy the battle happening within the dungeon.

"I will reward you with one thing since you managed to come all the way here and even discover one of the many core rooms I manage." Clark caught on immediately that the spatial slime king said multiple core rooms.

"There is more than one grand dungeon core? How is that possible? I thought a dungeon could only contain one core?" Crim and Devi had gradually relaxed and were starting to listen intently while Clark asked his questions.

"Normally you would be correct. It is good to see a first year learning well. Yet, I am the one controlling this space. I can separate my dungeon in to multiple copies. Many master tamers have come here to offer their taming spaces as sustenance for my dungeons' growth. With my skills, I can make their cores connect to this one and split when I need them to do so."

The spatial skills seemed like a complicated and mystical topic to study. Clark could easily grasp how many people would try to raise such a beast and fail due to their lack of understanding. "You are right to be stunned. It is an amazing feat to learn of. That is why I can nurture so many slimes to test young students like yourself.

That is also why I have rare materials related to all of their typings!"

The spatial slime was boasting its power again. Clark wondered if being strong had taken its toll on the spatial slime king's mentality. It was sure that it was out of its mind to some degree even though it had high intelligence. "Wait, any materials? Can I ask for the one you have with the strongest death energy or the strongest dragon essence?" Clark wasn't sure what he would get as an answer.

"I have a lord rot slime crystal that has significant poison and small death energy. You did ask about dragon essence. Is it because of that dragon slime there? I have not succeeded in adding such a slime to my family here. Explain how it was born and I may have something to give you." The spatial slime king wanted even more if it was to give away anything with a dragon's essence.

"That depends, do you have rotting dragon bones? If you do, there's a chance that one will form in to an egg as the bones rot. The essence will condense and the bone marrow becomes the slime while the bones wrap in a shell that when hatched, the slime consumes.

Then it copies the form of a dragon hatchling like my partner Crim here." There was no way that Clark would hold back his information if he could obtain a rare material for Crim and Devi.

"What a waste! I spent twenty years nurturing a dragon lily bulb just to find out I need the decaying body of a dragon! How foolish!" The spatial slime king had set aside a cave within the dungeon to grow a dragon lily plant to attempt to get it to help create a slime with dragon essence. It had been a failure up until learning this. Now it was an insulting failure.

"That head master will travel to the ancient dragon burial grounds and claim one of their rotting corpses for me. If I don't have it within a year I will ban all students from testing here!" The spatial slime king was fully focused. It was not even convinced that it would fail in raising a dragon slime to show the toughest of students that it was the most powerful dungeon master of all.

"I am glad to have helped you in your pursuit to train the next generation. It is inspiring to hear how dedicated you are." Adding some compliments here and there, Clark felt that he had won the exam twice over.

"You are the wisest student in a long time. You made it to a core room, gave me valuable knowledge, and recognized why my master raised me to this level. You may have a lord rot slime crystal and the dragon lily bulb I have been growing." Two materials appeared in the air in front of Clark.

'Dragon lily bulb- ultra rare

The dragon lily bulb is a very unique plant. It can grow in any environment as long as there is consistent pressure. This refines the small amount of dragon essence naturally produced by it. If left to grow for a long enough time it can bloom once a year. The flowers can be consumed by any dragon type beast to strengthen their growth.'

"This is exactly what I need! I will add it to the materials I use to make my taming space!" Crim and Devi both moved around in joy with Clark's enthusiasm. He felt that this was an amazing exam with perfect rewards. He had not only learned a lot but been able to gain materials for both Devi and Crim.
