Chapter 591: Useful Wins

Requirement: assist on creating a potion while in the jungle using only ingredients gathered in the jungle.

Requirement: assist in creating one forehead item using only materials found in the jungle.

Reward: one forging blueprint gotcha ticket will be spun when able.'

Clark looked at the system screen with a small smile. He had waited for this. But it had not actually popped up until Ralph had made both venom soaked daggers and Maria had taken enough rest to place every bit of jungle spider antidote in a vial.

This alone was very good since Clark knew that he would have two things to give the two. The only thing he didn't know, was if they would be useful. Just because he would get some blueprints or some formulas, they might not be what the group needed.

Right now, they were still in their campo sight. However, he knew that the longer they stayed here the less the beasts nearby would trust that there was a still a powerful beast that they should not mess with here.

The cannibal jungle spider had been here and scared the other beasts away. Therefore, this place was untouched. When the group came and made a lot of noise along with fire and frost energy signaling a battle, the other beasts had noticed. They would definitely be afraid since something had killed a powerful beast that they had not been able to get near.

However, now that it had been some time and they did not sense anything else new and powerful, the other beasts would believe that the attacker had died or was weak. This wasn't a greedy thought. It was instinct. The beasts would want a free meal or an easy meal. They didn't care which one that they would find.

On top of this, the group was also not going to plan on staying here. Clark still had a quest to make sure that they mapped the violent jungle. They had to keep moving. But he also knew that they were making their way toward a larger dungeon that had not been explored for a very long time.

These goals could not move forward if they did not move forward. With the alchemy and the forging out of the way, Brad, Jerold, and Reese took the night watch in to the morning. They had been the ones resting while the others worked. Simply because they did not need to help much with the watch or their skills. They lacked forging and alchemy skills.

Clark on the other hand had written down the analysis of both the potion and the daggers. It helped Maria and Ralph understand the flaws and the benefits of what they made. While they knew that Clark had written them while they did not pay attention, neither said a word to him. Maria because she was learning still and Ralph out of stubbornness.

Scent erasing perfume- common

The scent erasing potion using a mixture of herbs that are known to naturally occur in many areas. However, it can be edited based on the naturally growing herbs that will not harm those wearing such a potion as perfume.

The natural herbs work as a scent erasure. It is able to cover up scents and make it appear that the one wearing such a perfume is one with the area they are in. a new batch must be made for each area that the potion wishes to be used in.

While this will not perfectly make the user invisible to the noses of the most sensitive beasts, it will greatly assist in travel. The weaker beasts that might cause trouble have a drastically lower chance of smelling the wearers and attacking them. Especially if they are territorial. Many people create this alchemy potion to be a counter to specific beasts that live in packs or larger groups.'

Clark appreciated this. It was not some amazing potion that was able to cure wounds or to solve a major crisis. Instead, this was a basic potion that would help them in general. As everyone sweated and was unable to wash within the jungle, their scents would be easier for beast to pick up. This would remove that by harvesting the right herbs…

'The forging gocha is spinning…

Steel wood alloy- rare

The steel wood tree is a very hard to break tree in the violent jungle. Most people will think that it is actually a tree. However, it is not truly a tree. It is a beast called a steel wood tree beast. While it was thought to be a plant, it was soon discovered that the roots are actually a pant type beast with metal and earth affinities. It grows wood like parts above the ground to gather energy.

This allows it to grow while also remaining safe. It can be cut of the one doing so understands enough about it. The wood like appearance and texture are actually unique organic metals that can be forged. Many carpenters were astounded by their failures to cut and carve this tree that they did not realize was a beast.

The blacksmiths that have been able to make alloys with this material can be counted on one hand. Being able to make weapons from it makes them very unique. Therefore, they are great for selling to many people. However, their toughness will wane if not properly unkempt.

The beast will be unharmed by losing parts of itself above the ground since it will often grow until it breaks naturally. The blacksmiths that learn to forge with this will often grow much faster because the alloy tests their control of energy since the material could burn similar to wood if heated improperly…'

Clark was very interested in this. Not just because there were more details on the amounts of materials needed. But because he could tell that Ralph would be able to hunt such a unique beast and gather this beast's materials easily. He already had the skills to wield forging energies that his beast shared with him. Now he could apply that to fighting.

On top of this, was the fact that Ralph was already learning more about forging just by considering each material he encountered for a project. If he was able to gain this steel wood, then he would challenge his control over the energies he shared with his beasts. By The time that he was able to use them to forge with this without issue, he would naturally be a much better blacksmith overall.

On top of this, there was the fact that he could definitely be able to create some unique items. The rock would always was something unique that others could not get. Therefore, Isa would have it cut out for her to sell them. Not only that, but these needed to be maintained by Ralph who could forge said materials. It was a guaranteed money maker even after being sold!

Clark saw that the two had already passed out. He set the two different formula and forging papers next to them. The descriptions were enough to shock them when the two woke up in their own tents. But Clark truly knew that they would take the time to memorize and absorb what they could.

"You have a lot of things saved for everyone. More than I have." Isa looked at Clark. She had used some energy with her blaze elemental but had woken up after a short rest.

"I do, but I can't say when is the time for it all. I just need to keep pushing forward." Clark was trying to be a little mysterious. But Isa could tell that he was also unsure of a lot in their future.

"You should rest too, you know. You might not be showing it, but with Crim asleep and growing, you are much weaker." Isa did not think she could beat Clark in a fight, but he was not getting dragon energy from Crim right now. He would definitely have lesser stamina than usual.

"I know, but there are a few things I am focusing on. Crim consumed some very good materials. He even consumed one that I have no idea on what will happen when it fully absorbs…" Clark showed some worry. Isa knew that he was worried about Crim.

What Clark did not show, was that he was also worried about Crim's growth. Crim was absorbing a lot of materials within the taming space. But he was also working on the flask that he had gained in the dungeon. A thing that apparently held more than most would guess. Calkr had read the analysis and other things. He understood that Crim needed to focus greatly on his efforts and needed Clark's energy.

"You know, I will take a little nap before everyone wakes up. The more rest and meditation I get, the more it will help Crim. Especially with Devi and Shy out hunting right now." Clark could sense his other two partners out and about testing their skills.
