Chapter 589: Teamwork Learning

"So that leaves me to-"

"That leaves you to go away and let me keep working. You don't have Crim who can heat anything. Shy can't use any more shadow threads. And I swear, if Devi tries to bite me I will bite you!" Ralph growled out as Clark tried to step in.

Hwpebver, Grace and Ralph were moving like a well oiled machine. Grace was constantly letting the frost finch use some of her own energy to control the icy winds it made better. The two were like one being. Ralph was the same.

The dragon welp would increase the what in the forge furnace while the molten boar would keep pouring out the molten metal to cool enough to be wrapped and added in another layer.

This process was perfectly controlled because they had all worked together before. If Clark were to jump in to it, he would be ruining the teamwork and cause small errors in it. This was just an inevitable thing when it came to new people joining a perfect process of teamwork.

"I will just go help Maria then…" While Clark had not seen the entire venom soaked dagger get completed, he knew there was a second mold already made of strew and of shadow threads. Therefore, he knew that the second one would be made sooner than later too. That was when the system might react. He just had to wait since he had already helped along with Shy too.

Meanwhile, there was even more appearing to be happening on the other side of the camp. The fires that the blaze elemental had started were definitely larger than they should be, but with the fact that the beasts in the area feared whatever had killed the cannibal spider, they helped deter those beasts even more. An unknown powerful beast was here, they couldn't anger it.

The heat from the flames that the blaze elemental made had been increasing more and more. But where things got even more interesting was when Ella had joined in with Isa to help with the fires.

The blue flame skeleton had been called out. Its odd blue flames were not at all harmed or altered when it dipped its hands in to the blaze elemental's fires. Therefore, it was clear that the blue flame skeleton that Ella normally kept safely stored away in the taming space since she had to still adjust to its strength, was immune to most flames.

It was holding a larger cauldron over the flames and adjusting it constantly. Isa had melded with the winter witch to assist in the controlling of flames as the blaze elemental was still adjusting its own control of flames.

Right next to them was Maria. She was consistently adding a little of this and that to make a basic binding potion. Her first attempts to make such a potion was not so that she could experiment. She knew that she had the very basic skills to make it happen without the addition of any beast assisting her on her side. This was because she was able to rely on her friends who could have their beasts help.

"So you chose the binding formula first. Does that mean you want to make an antidote for the venom from the cannibal jungle spider?" Clark saw that Maria was very focused but still nodded. She was crushing herbs using a mortar and pestle so that they would dissolve and make themselves one with the overall potion much more easily.

With a slight nod to the table the three girls had set up, Clark looked at the venom that had been drained from one of the venom sacks. The other venom sack had gone to Jerold who allowed for his armored chameleon to eat it to help it keep the venom on its tongue prepared for battle.

To be fair, Jwrold's armored chameleon had been gaining a lot of different poisons and venoms to help it along with its poison typing.

'Mutated jungle spider venom- rare

This is a venom hybrid that came from a cannibal jungle spider. This mutated variant allows for the two slightly different venoms of the male and female jungle spiders to meld together. Normally, if mixed, the two venoms would not be able to work together. Instead, they would be opposing and not cause the same severity of envenomation prey.

Because this venom is mixed naturally within the mutated spider's body, it is perfect. It will allow for a stronger side effect from those poisoned with this venom. Therefore, when being used on prey or being used as a poison, it will be very effective.

It is also ideal for making antidotes for both jungle spider sexes while also many other spider venoms from the jungle. There are other spider species with weaker venoms that live within the jungle. The antidotes made from this unique mutated spider venom can easily purify and help save a life from weaker jungle spider venom species.'

Clark was impressed. He had not used the analysis on the venom right away. But since he saw this, he knew that they would be able to make a very good antidote from it. However, the risks that came with doing so were high. They might fail and lose the entire venom vials they had stored here on the table. If that were the case, then Maria would fail in her challenge to make a potion.

Therefore, Clark would fail his sub quest while in this jungle.

"I would say that the binding potion will be perfect, but we should have the cloud sprite make sure that the fumes are kept within the cauldron. It will make a slight pressure that keeps the evaporating ingredients within the potion. It can separate the steam and let it condense too." Clark was surprised at himself.

He had looked at the cauldron being used and had the simple idea that led to him speaking.

"That is a good idea. Ella, can you help?" Ella set down the notebook. She was working hard to help Maria take notes as she knew how much Maria would need to learn from every single detail of these experimental potion making sessions. Especially since Maria did not have a beast helping her yet.

As the cloud sprite showed itself, the steam from the cauldron was cut off. Instead of a white steam, the steam changed to a little more translucent. Everyone felt that the water vapor leaving was more controlled and Maria also could see that the binding potion had shifted to a more stable boil than before.

"Brilliant! I will need to consider this when working later. My new partner might be able to do this the same way and learn from your cloud sprite!" Maria was very happy to already have an alchemy training plan for the beast that would break free of the cocoon.

What even Maria had not realized yet, was that she was unconsciously manipulating some of the energies around her. The beast that was slowly developing within the cocoon was drinking up all the ambient energies around Maria as they were pulled in to the taming space naturally. This was just something that happened with all beasts.

However, the unique energies of alchemy were exactly what it needed. Therefore, as it pulled some of these energies to help it develop, Maria was able to gain some insight on them. Naturally, she would be able to manipulate the energies that her breasts were calling in to her taming space and channel them through her body. That was the same for any beast.

That was how they all learned from one another. Two partners sharing their abilities.

"You already started to get some benefits, huh?" Maria glanced at Clark and smiled softly. She was working to add in the right amount of each herb as she ended it. The careful timing being counted out by Ella when necessary. Some of the alchemical processes could not be done without waiting for the right temperature and pressure to build up.

When Maria added some more powdered herbs, she quickly stopped moving as the boiling liquids suddenly smoothed out and were not showing any signs of boiling. "It's still hot and needs to be adjusted. Quickly get me what I need. Clark, the venom and the purified water." Maria shouted out an order. She had already begun working again.

Multiple bits of other herbs were added. Maria was working hard to add some small bits of mashed ginger which would help with the purification of the venoms. But when Calkr dashed over with one of the ten vials of venom from the venom sac and the purified water, Maria acted again.

She took a small whisk to make the liquids come together better and began to drip in venom and purified water. The cauldron suddenly flared up with a green tint and a massive amount of boiling. The intensity could easily burn anyone with venom steam if the cloud sprite was not helping them. Ella recorded this intense reaction before Maria made her next move.
