Chapter 531: Leashed
Chapter 531: Leashed
"Clark isn't here yet and It's starting to get close." Grace was the most showing when it came to worry. Out of everyone, it should have been Maria or Isa that showed off their worries. But they seemed to be more of a silent worrying type. Maria because she had to be that way after her family kicked her out and Isa because she had learned to hide her negative emotions as a merchant.
"He'll be out in the next few minutes. And I guarantee he will bring trouble with him." Reese sounded more like he was trying to place a bet than anything else.
"I bet he will bring something good for training. I could use something heavier. We need that to get stronger." Brad had gotten too caught up on the strength side of things after seeing the guards from Solar academy city trapped in illusions. Naturally, Brad had taken that as proof of them not training themselves to be strong enough to resist something like that.
"Trouble might be right. Get ready." Ralph jumped up from where he was sitting and cleaning part of his armor. His molten boar took a hard stance in front of the dungeon as a few flying beasts escaped. The flying flame lizards darted out in a rush as if something bigger was coming.
When the gate to the dungeon slammed all the way open, the dragon welp charged through with a pained roar. It shook the ground as it stomped and scraped up the soft earth compared to the harsh and tough stone it used to travel on in the volcanic dungeon.
"Is that a god damn dragon!?" Jerold leapt up too and was ready to hide away to strike the dragon welp as it appeared ready to fight.
"Come on. Stop that running and attack me again!" Clark's voice rang louder as oppressive dragon energy radiated off of him. His spear end hitting the head of the dragon welp in the next moment. "You don't think that your new partner will like you if you keep backing off. Act like you have some dragon blood in you!"
The dragon welp dug in its claws and tried to roar back, but it was clear that Clark had chased it and made it regret being anywhere near him in the first place. "Ralph, get over here and make friends with this beast. It's going to be yours. It's a fire and earth type beast. Great for unique forging."
'Dragon welp- rare
The earth and fire energies within this beast's body are incredibly potent due to the half dragon blood it has. This allows it to breathe some dragon flames even though it lacks wings like a normal fire dragon would.
The unique earth and fire combination make it able to manipulate earth and flames. This can be very useful in battle to make tough defenses and use fire to wear away at its enemies. But it also allows it to be a valuable partner in alchemy and forging due to the unique dragon flames it is capable of.
Due to the dragon half, it can fly in to rage and prefers frontal close combat. Due to its strong earth lizard blood, it is conflicted and will back away from fights while maintaining defenses. This allows for a good beast that can be trained with a balanced fighting style using high defenses and unique fire damage.
The potential to…'
It was only to be expected that Ralph was stunned. He knew that Clark had been in the dungeon doing who knew what, but a dragon welp? For him? Not to mention the fact that Maria had just gotten a beast to raise as well. This was moving too much. Too many beasts in the group to keep up with.
So many more materials to need.
"Well? Can you handle it? Or are you just going to be stubborn and tell me that you don't want to forge anything using dragon fire?" This was more of an insult to Ralph than anything. It was even worse that the molten boar head this and interpreted it as Clark saying that they were both too weak to keep this young dragon welp in check.
"Get over here you overgrown salamander!" Ralph charged in and took Clark's place. He had naturally seen how to bring a beast in to check when it came to dominance. But he also knew that this beast had been chased by Clark while he somehow intimidated it with dragon energies.
The result was terror from the dragon welp toward Clark. It had sensed the dragon energies from the dragon majesty skill. It made it feel that there was an adult dragon looking down at him. Something that the half dragon blood resonated with and proved was weaker than. Therefore, when Ralph knocked Clark away and took his place, the dragon welp felt it had seen a savior.
It didn't hesitate to follow the earth lizard side of its blood and go right to Ralph.
The rest of the group just watched in wonder as the dragon welp easily and easily gave itself over to Ralph so they could form a bond. It was the easiest and quickest taming of a wild beast anyone had ever seen or thought of. "Good. not Ralph and that half dragon can get to know one another." Clark was very proud of his work as he saw the dungeon showing signs of cracking.
It was going to fall apart in the next few hours as it disappeared.

'The gocha reward ticket had been determined. One beast growth gocha ticket has been given.'
The beast growth gocha is spinning…congratulations.
Beast nursery basket- ultra rare
This basket can be specially enhanced with certain energy crystal. This allows whatever egg, young beast, or small beats placed in side to grow at a faster rate. This also helps heal small wounds. The benefits of using this basket are enhanced energy conversion, better bond creation, and further enhancements based on the physical and mental states of the beast within.
This basket can easily survive the dangerous energy and skill uses from a young and untrained beast. They will be able to better master their skills due to their accelerated control and growth over their type of energies. This will allow for a better future potential.'
It was already drawn. Clark had wanted to wait but knew that the system was the system and he couldn't do anything about that. "Maria, take this basket. Place your new beast in it and see how fast we can grow it to a proper alchemy beast. Use whatever crystals you need." Clark was still acting casually as he pulled out an item they had never seen.
"I also found some good ores that a magma shell slime used as a shell, a broken core from it, I would have grabbed its body but that didn't work out since it was in a pool of magma at the top of a volcano. The dwarves would have been angry with me if I took everything too. Not that they had much time to hang around after I saved some of them."
"Oh, and I found a weird flask carved out of stone and gold. Its top is shaped like a dragon head so i bet inside is something good for Crim. so I have some treasure to sell after I figure it all out. By the way, did you know elves are kind of dumb? They can't even tell the difference between a clay golem and a deep earth golem core.
Really dumb, one almost killed her beast and made a monster by treating it wrong."
The more that Clark spoke the more everyone thought that he was either crazy or was just spouting nonsense. Both seemed to be the case though. "Everyone, we are voting on whether or not we will let Clark go anywhere alone any more. All in favor of putting Clark on a leash?"
The resounding yes from everyone made it pretty clear that the group would not be allowing Clark to run off for some time. "Clark, one of my top students. Please explain to us in detail what happened. I will need to know if I need to warn our home city that the dwarves and elves may want to go to war with us because of a rude human who called the elves dumb and the dwarves trouble."
As Professor Wright made a move with an oddly perfect smile on her face, Clark knew he was screwed. Now he would have to own up to what he had done. Especially when it came to angering two other races.
