Chapter 499: Farewell Terra

Chapter 499: Farewell Terra

To say that anyone was up after just a few hours would be a blunt lie. Leo found himself with the group at Purple's home talking with Purple's family for quite some time before they mentioned that they should just give them all time. That left Leo to explain his plans and leave a letter.

He also left the same with Professor Wright since he was going to be going off on his own to return to Nova Academy to continue his own plans.

The advances in the group's strength had come at a rough price of soreness. However, as they stretched out and found themselves recovering, each member of the group was surprised. They had never trained in such a harsh way that put them to the edge of what they could handle.

Even Purple found himself sore and struggling to keep up with what he had been able to handle before this training. It was a feeling he had not had in some time since all of his training was always physical in nature.

"You really slept for a full day, you know." Purple found Clark as soon as Clark had shown himself after waking up in the unfamiliar room.

"I knew I would need to after that. I went way past what I should have been able to do. But it was well worth it." Clark could remember the techniques and feelings now burned in to his memory forever.

Each individual flow of different energies made it clear to Clark that he would not be able to use them on a whim. Using each energy that was provided to him came with a different twist on control. Using them all at once meant that he would suffer the side effects of doing so. His body was still weak in relation to what he would be able to do when he could fully manipulate all of the energies.

With the flowing storms meditation technique, Clark understood that when he reached a higher level, that he could use all the energies between him and his partners to create literal storms. To cause changes in the world and nature around him. This level of strength was where the strongest of each city sat. what they strived to be.

However, this was not the end. It was clear that the idea of a storm of energy was not just nature related. It was a storm of energy, not a storm of elements. That key difference left a sense of mystery within Clark's very core. He could sit and try to understand it all that he wanted, but for now, he was just too weak to delve in to what that meant.

"You didn't hold back at all when you fought me this time. I'm pretty sure you broke through the training ground your family made just as much as I did." Clark threw a few comments towards Purple as the two sat to eat. Clark had managed to wake up at the perfect time to eat breakfast.

"I was unsure if my strength had reached that level. I started to watch how you used spiritual energy. The other energies helped you greatly but spiritual energy appeared to make your mind and body connect better. My partner and I realized that and I gained a better ability to enhance my strength.

I will be able to stand taller next time we battle." This was more objective when it came to Purple's understandings. But it cemented Clark as his goal to reach now.

"I was in a fog for a while when I first started to let energies flow. But I am pretty certain that I made a lot of things I worked on and held back on to come together. The improved spear technique is called the lunar dragon spear technique. And my new meditation is called flowing storms. The first of its kind you know."

Creating his own meditation technique was easily something that would make many jealous. It was something that would often take an entire life or even generations in a family. Yet, Clark had done it at such a young age and clearly held proof that it put him many miles ahead of others.

"I would share it but it would need a dragoon adding energy as a core. Then the other energies added would need to be controlled as well. It might kill others if they gave it a half effort try. Or if they did it wrong." This wasn't Clark worrying that Purple would try it. This was just respectful and trusting information sharing in case anyone tried to push to learn what Clark knew.

It was bound to happen that someone would come asking how or what Clark did.

"The neighbors did react to all the sounds. But they have the respect to hold back from complaining when real training happens. We did attract some guards and the vice headmaster did arrive for a time. My grandfather handled them but when your Professor Wright arrived she watched us all fight. I thought she would join to train us but she did not."

This was news to Clark. He had not noticed Professor Wright and it was clear that Purple hadn't until his grandfather had told him after the fact. "I figure because no one else is here that they went off somewhere?" This was what Clark started to catch on to since no one else was around.

"You're correct. They left a few thank you gifts to apologize to my family for the noise then left. They said that they would take the chance to prepare for the next trip. I thought that they would stay longer. You had other goals though." A journey of strength was clearly what the group was on. Purple did not have any issue with that.

"Lunar and Solar academy. Well, Lunar and Solar cities that are ruled by their academies. That's the next place we go. Solar academy might not like us since Lunar academy offered us a chance to go there first." Clark sighed a little. He knew that it would be a little dramatic to head there after such a training focused journey here.

"I will wait for you to call. I believe that your values will show stronger than what others may think of your home." Purple reaffirmed his promise to help Clark when it was needed. The two didn't need to say much else. It was a silent conversation of respect. Only something true allies walking the same path of strength would share.

Purple enjoyed growing in Terra city. It had less focus on political strength. While some jumped in here and there, the city values stopped it from growing and gaining power. Nova city had been taken over too much by corruption. It was why other cities had a negative view of of Nova city as a whole and things were even more divided.

"I think the fighting between the two cities will be tough, but I don't have any worries." Purple sent Clark off with these words after they had eaten. He was sure that they would be seeing each other in a few months when everything came to its pique.

These thoughts left Clark occupied on the way back to the inn. As he got there, he found everyone with their items packed. Isa looked a little annoyed but whenever Professor Wright glanced at them she would pretend to be fine.

"Good, you took a little longer than expected but when you left I began having everyone else prepare. We are leaving before the storm gets worse. It will be better for Terra City not to worry about anyone that is not a resident here." the way that Professor Wright spoke it told Clark that the flood of water would be limiting the area that Terra city would be patrolling.

All of this was everything that the group already knew. But removing those that were not residents was just a smart move. That way, if anything happened to the city then there would not be any issues when it came to other city relationships.

"My older brother left a letter and said he is going off to train as well. He was going to train with us but he said he needed to be alone on his journey traveling to Nova again. It is illogical to leave alone rather than coming with us." Ella clearly had her own feelings about Leo leaving them behind.

"And I had a letter for all of you to come here so we can leave. Now get in line and let's go." Professor Wright clearly had a plan for their travel. The weather was poor and she wanted to get them out of here to avoid any tensions.

"I know, we are heading to Lunar academy. Then we can see what's going on there." Clark took a deep breath and grabbed the items that Maria had packed up for him. He wanted to talk to everyone about their training but he had the feeling that they would be asking him about it while they moved.
