Chapter 451: Way To Weak
Chapter 451: Way To Weak
' eons pass on lands that time can grow. Unique forms of energy. Unique species come to existence within these lands. These planes of existence. All those that flow with existence have a place and can travel through them when their strength is higher.
The lands of spiritual might are known as the spirit plane. Overlapping with the plane of shadows and darkness allow it to meld and create unique worlds entirely governed by unique energies birthed of these specific typings.
The ghost dragon race was ostracized from the dragon race for focusing on the undead, death, spiritual, and other darker energies. The draconic plane of might exiled the living dragon that dared to bring these energies in to themselves and push it on to their offsprings. The records were nearly erased and hunting them became the norm.
Thousands of years passed by as the planes influenced by the dragoons grew thin. Their elemental energy integration spread their might to more powerful individuals. The ancient dragon plane becoming locked away from any that were not pure dragons.
The ghost dragons gave away their bodies while others changed their forms to have both an untouchable energy being and a body of might. Many paths were taken until the ghost dragon was birthed. Thus, a new plane was discovered.
The plane of death exists over and within every plane along with the plane of life. The two greatest forces when related to the creation and cycle of existence. None can interfere with their existence other than truly powerful specific energies such as….'
Clark felt the book's writings were purposefully cut off here. But he noticed that the words of this illusory book changed to what seemed to be much further down.
'The ghost dragon remains untouchable as the new leader of the ghostly plane. Neither undead, nor alive, a being separate and hunting for power that it can take in as its own. Attempting to trap the outer forces that do not encompass existence within itself.
The ripples of such a being's attempts caused the true creation of other ghostly species. Some beings' fears were brought to life as they discovered ghosts to exist while the rumors and nightmares of other similar species of beings came to be.
Through thousands of years, the connections with such planes waned, their paths seemingly hidden by the flow of energies.
Foolish attempts to take in the outer forces beyond existence seemingly erased the ancient and seemingly immortal ghost dragon species. Some remain, young created from their essence. Beings that do not even understand their own connections to ghostly planes or related planes.
The throne of the ghostly plane is left untouched. The throne of the deathly plane is left with but one master. The throne of the ancient dragon plane is left with a handful in permanent strife. The planes are unbalanced.
The united energy of the most powerful planes can be the only balancing power. The only power to cease the leak of outer energies. Of the unknown from reclaiming existence. The legacy drifts among all existence and awaits the one that can follow the path. Reclaim the known power. Discover the new power that can topple entire planes.'
While images of unknown places echoed through Clark's mind, he wondered what this meant. It was as if some old sage had written his predictions. Some that were fact and others that were speculation. The illusory book was less of a record and more like a personal thought journal.
Some strange magical thing that Clark realized wasn't even in his hands anymore as if it had never been there in the first place.
While the clarity that Clark had gained after his previous rewards helped him make heads or tales of how amazing a species like a ghost dragon would be. It also left him wondering. This species was seemingly extinct, or it was so few and far between that it was best to say it didn't exist. Yet, it was an outcast species of dragon sent away.
It was able to find a place and create an entire plane that melded other energy planes of existence.
However, it was also clear that the number of planes was greater than the known types of energy that Calkr could ever comprehend. Let alone the powerful overarching planes such as time, space, death, and life that he could barely comprehend already.
This did make a little sense though. Clark had Devi saving the death energy from the things they battled. Their tiny, nearly microscopic amount of energy wasn't even enough to sense the true depths of what they were attempting to learn. It couldn't even create a small ripple. This feeling caused Clark to wonder just what everything was.
Then there were some outer forces. Unfathomable unknown forces that weren't part of existence. Did this mean the void? Or was this more? Non existence? It made Clark's head ring while trying to comprehend it.
This had been a reward though. Valuable information that allowed Clark to better understand the depths of the world. It wasn't so much that he was getting some history, but he was having his eyes opened to the higher levels of what strength could be. That he had just been focusing on the smallest of the small. There were many things above what he understood. He couldn't be a frog in a well forever.
One day, he would have to begin climbing higher. For now, he would focus on erasing the corruption around him. Bringing better lives to others. But later…
"Ugh, just stop it. Get your life together." Clark slapped his hands down on his side and started to stretch. He knew that the reward from the system had to be some sort of awakening. More like a slap to push him to begin growing again. To sit and relax less. To drop the small matters he had been focused on.
While this seemed rude, it mentioned that there was an unbalance in many planes. It made sense that an unbalance would affect them too at some point. If Clark wanted to survive that and to see a happy life, he would need to be more powerful. Able to handle such disturbances. Be able to protect others from them.
"Devil, Crimson, Shyama. Let's get to training. We are going to be fighting anyone that we can get to battle us. Then we are going to start heading to our next training area. We should head to Tera academy. They have tough training for our group." While Ckakr had made this promise and was forcing his mind off these larger topics, the rest of the group was still training in their own ways.
The only one that had not been interrupted on the healing efforts of their body or any training they wanted to do ended up being Brad. he had managed to escape any healer, team member, or even slight distraction. The steam apes had even welcomed him to sit close by them since it was clear that he was there just to focus on recovering after harsh physical training.
But since Brad had been somewhat focused on growth, he was certain that he would be able to heal faster than before. It was as if his body was beyond what it had been before. Studying the new unique blood energy and metal energy fusion within him was amazing. His hyper focusing tendencies began showing themselves as he sat cross legged within the hot spring.
His mind had not been in a state of meditation lately. Therefore, he had not noticed how much his bond with his possessed helm had grown when it became a possessed armament. The idea that Brad could have a possessed armor was small and not even worth thinking about now. Especially since a possessed armament was a much better and higher form for the possessed helm to take in the long run.
Especially if he were to keep feeding it powerful metal ores.
The only downsides were the fact that he had to find the ores and provide the energies. His partner needed a lot more focus and all that energy had to flow through him as well.t that was why strengthening his body had been so important. He had to be able to withstand and use the energies that his partner had.
The metal energies that naturally strengthened his body had been greatly boosted when the blood affinity was gained. That unique taming space had done more than benefit Brad.
The downsides of a berserker skill were easy to ignite since Brad would not have to use it unless he was in a bad situation. But he had not realized that his partner had gained additional skills. He felt his partner showing them in his mind making him able to learn them. Defense and attack would be much easier for him. Brad was greatly impressed and happy to be able to show this off to the group.
He was their defender after all. His role would be to protect them all as an immovable defender. That was the role that Brad saw himself in and the role that he would keep pursuing.
