Chapter 446: Healers In Training

Chapter 446: Healers In Training

After having the time to fully absorb their little performance, the group had taken a short rest to recover themselves. Even though there seemed to have been very little that they each did compared to Maria, who had needed to focus on her beast's growth, this was still a draining event. This had been the first real presentation of what their group worked on to grow stronger.

While they were covering their deal with the white robed healers, the group had been able to properly play a role in presenting multiple beast plans. Even better, they had demonstrated them while working with the client they had. That alone was enough to give them all incredibly valuable experience in this business.

For Isa, this was just the start of what she had imagined this would turn out to be. The desire to make her own name in the business world was strong. She had seen her brothers split off in to their respective trades as merchants or porters for dungeons. They had done this and made her feel she wasn't living up to their family name as great merchants.

Now that the beast planning had begun to take off and they had their first large customer, their group would only become more famous. Especially since the healers were singing their praises so much. Credibility, strength, and never before seen beast growth plans would be the focus and the key to their success.

That was what Isa had fallen asleep and dreamed of before she had joined the group after their rest.

On the other hand, the time to rest had been perfect for Maria to regulate the changes in her body due to different spiritual and poison energy influences. It also gave her the chance to get closer to the midnight eel that was always watching her safety. She had noticed that it came out in to the open to deter anyone that might harm her and Lit. It was becoming a very doting protector.

Something that made Maria proud.

This also made her realize that Clark had long given her a few materials for it. The energy crystals that it had not consumed because it had always been watching over her could be used now. They would be in the ideal place for it since the safe space they were in was protected by many wild beasts. Peace was really the only time it would have the chance to fully relax and grow.

This chance was imperative to her future safety. Especially if she and Lit were forced to heal or were sneak attacked.

"I swear, I will break any of you that causes those gates I helped forged to become even the slightest bit scratched." The sounds of Ralph warning a few healers made the group that had just found their way to the white robe healer dining area wonder just what was going on.

For Ralph to be surrounded by a group of healers seemed odd. But when Clark looked closely, he noticed that they were holding small bits of metals, broken medical tools, and even a few diagrams. Apparently, they wanted him to forge things and had been asking about the gate he assisted in making with materials they already had laying around the healer's camp.

"I think Ralph has a pretty good following here. I thought that Maria would be swarmed by everyone. But nope. It's Ralph." Isa felt that her business education was betraying her while the others also looked at Ralph with odd expressions.

"I think it's important to work on those things here. Ralph can make Maria some medical tools. She needs some stitching needles for when we get cut very badly and we need multiple healing skills used over time." Grace immediately jumped in. She wasn't just looking at Ralph but also saw the bonus of Ralph working on medical tools.

"Oh! I didn't think about what he could make me for tools while we are here. I need to go and tell him to find the diagrams for them." Maria immediately took Grace's idea and rushed off. Naturally, Grace followed looking very peppy.

This left Jerold and Reese looking around carefully. They knew that Clark wanted to have some training going on while they were here. Especially since Ella had already expressed that she and Isa were going to be running through the beast plan journals they had. The two had made it clear that they could make extra copies for a small price.

The glow sting jellyfish growth potentials were too great for them. Especially since Clark had made certain to pull Ella aside before they had rested.

Their conversation had not been long, but Isa had quickly heard about how Clark learned of a new growth potential. A growth plan that was based on the queen and empress jellyfish sharing their unique poisons with glow sting jellyfish to make them evolve in to their personal defenders.

While Maria had not been interested in this at all because of her feelings toward using a beast as a meat shield for her partner, others might see it as the perfect defenses. Some healers would be able to go to dangerous battlefields with their partners to save lives. That alone was enough to ensure that it might be worth using.

However, this beast plan would be kept by their group rules the right person came by.

This was where the group had decided to draw a line. They would not sell or advertise any information that could possibly make a beast and human fuse. To make a monster that could run rampant and kill many. Or to help create a beast that would lead to a slaughter of many. The lives around them were all precious.

They were not growing stronger so that they could become another form of corruption causing pain and death.

"We can all get our training started if you want. I was planning to hunt down more healers, but a few are already running around. Apparently, Professor Wright was found and asked to give them a few lessons. I think they are being messed with." Clark understood why Jerold and Reese were looking at him.

He was certain that the healers had also been sent away because Professor Wright was enjoying her rest and relaxation at the hot springs. Not that she didn't deserve it. Her assassin beetle was always around the group protecting them. It was clear that she always had an eye out for their group.

"I am taking those that want to use daggers then. I have been training a lot and I will make sure that they know exactly how to use the basics." Jerold had been sure that he was keeping well up with his body strengthening and techniques. He was always focused on basics now and didn't even seem to care about learning another weapon yet.

He had changed a lot compared to how he had been when they first met.

The fact that Jerold had dropped the attempt to learn the spear, for now, was perfect. It gave him the freedom of mind to fully focus on his skills. Therefore, his dagger technique had radically improved. He had also been keeping up with his ability to learn better silent movements while invisible. That was a struggle that he had as he scouted areas. He might give himself and the entire group away.

When it came to Reese, he was more focused on meditation. "I always train and bond with my partner. But I think I will meditate near the hot springs too. I think it's best that I let myself recover physically while here." The high amount of training that Jerold did was clearly having some effect on his body.

The natural healing aura of the entire area was ideal for healing any hidden wear and tear on the body.

"Hey Brad, you might want to work on that too. I know there isn't much for you to do here without physical training." Reese also caught Brad's attention. He had been focused on his own thoughts.

"No, I should help the healers. I can meditate after I teach them to get stronger like me. Look at how small they are. No muscles to defend a single attack." Brad had a good point and no one argued it. The whalers weren't well trained and wouldn't have the same ability to defend themselves in general.

"Hm, I guess that just leaves me alone then." Clark looked around and wondered what he should do. But as he sensed that everyone else was going in the right direction with their training, he realized he had fallen behind on his own goal. He had lacked the time to focus on creating his own meditation method.

The calm and peaceful atmosphere around him was ideal for reaching new enlightenment on the energies that influenced his body. Especially since Devi had a spiritual energy around him. Yet, the ideal thing would be strengthening the bonds between him and his partners. Here, they could all focus on the flow of energies between them more than anything without any interruptions.

Then they could go and train when they had reached a mental stopping point.
