Chapter 407: Slight Change Of Plans

There was a very large flurry of movement that followed all of this. Astrid did not hesitate in the least to grab the bottle and start moving. She had nearly forgotten Illia before she scooped Illia up and was gone in a flash. No one was worried though. They knew exactly what they would feel if they were in the same situation.

Luckily, the group had been left with an escort of their own. They were being led at a much slower pace toward Illia's mansion. They would just be shown to rooms for them to rest after they had visits with healers so that they could ensure that the group was safe.

"Your teacher, Professor Wright, will be arriving within the hour. The healers will leave you in your rooms for rest, If you wish to speak with your professor she will be shown to the waiting room." the guard that left them with this and the ten healers didn't have much else to say. Clark was sure that Professor Wright would be there faster than an hour.

It was just nice to say it would take an hour in case anything happened.

The fact that the group had arrived at the residence did not go unnoticed. There were healers there for them, yes, but the main healers were there with a group of alchemists that were clearly preparing for work. Clark and the group didn't ask nor did they pry in to things. They understood privacy and left it be.

It was just a little unnerving since they were unable to see if everything worked out well. They were all hoping that it would.

"You have all been gone for some time. Much longer than the other groups." It had only been five minutes since the guard left and the healers had started to ask them to separate. Professor Wright was already there. "The other students showed up with various injuries, broken limbs, and even two lost their beasts to injuries. They will be recovering for some time."

The tone was one of clear worry but as professor Wright looked at them, they saw that she was relaxing. That was until she looked at Ella. understandably, Ella picked up on this instantly. Clark also focused again when he saw the look in professor Wright's eyes.

"What's the situation?" Ella knew that the look and focused attitude on her could not be because of Ella herself. It was surely because her older brother had met some trouble.

"According to the others of the fourth year group that left for the dungeon, a beast the size of a wagon attacked. A wolf of some sort. However, it appears that your brother's arm was cut by a blade according to healers. While it is not impossible to heal it, the arm was destroyed, and regrowing one will take many months. It will also require beasts that have higher levels of healing.

It is a major set back for anyone of his age."

The entire group knew that this was not some simple beast attack. Maria shared an angry expression with Clark. The two knew exactly why and how this would have come about. "Understood, I will speak with him. He may be able to journey with us towards the white robe healer's training area. We were invited." Ella already thought of a way to help her brother.

She didn't show any anger.

"I can arrange that for you. Otherwise, I can take you there now?" professor Wright had more things she wanted to ask the group. About their experience and why they had been held up for so long within the dungeon. She also wanted to know why there was a city lockdown when they had arrived. What beast could have shown itself to make that happen?

Yet, she saw that the entire group was now unwilling to speak.

"I will wait. My brother should understand that I will handle things. He would have gone home if he had other thoughts. We will prepare to leave for our first destination within the week. I trust that you will be staying with us as our guardian?" Professor Wright took her turn to nod. Nova academy would surely have assigned her as their guardian.

She had already done so thus far. Along with that, she was the most familiar with the group and able to take care of them the best.

"Professor Wright, for now, we have to talk as a group. Ralph and Grace will most likely-"

"No, Grace and I will be going too. We can learn a lot here but now that this has happened, we will have some more things to handle. We can learn as we go." Ralph stopped Clark from speaking for him and Grace.

"I agree. We will stay with the group." The support from Grace appeared to just solidify the plans that Ella was making as she gave them both an affirmed nod.

"Then, in that case, we will speak as a group, then we will rest. Isa has something to work on and the rest of us will be occupied for at least three days. We need to understand what we are doing perfectly."

"Then do what you need. I will step in if needed." Professor Wright was always seeing the group grow. This experience had seemingly brought them all closer. Whether it was life and death situations they faced or a secret encounter, none of it mattered. All that martyred was that as she left, she could send her report to Alexander.

She was also sure that Alexander would be contacting the Mane family with the information about the changes in Nebula. Especially since the Mane family had been the ones that approached Nebula for the new treaty between them.

"So we will go learn about healing first. That is fine by me. Grace might be able to pick up some skills for treating fevers. Ralph can also learn to make me some tools for medical skills. I need to expand my skill set in healing and not just battle." Maria supported Ella with a solid plan for her own growth.

But the thought that reached Maria was that one day she too would be a higher class healer that could save someone's lost lib or their life at the brink of death.

"Can all of you leave, we need privacy. Even if you are the white robed healers. We will be healed by Maria." Jerold and Reese teamed up to ask the healers to leave then. While somewhat unwilling, they obliged after hearing the group would go to their training grounds first. Nebula and the white robed healers appeared to be much closer after the tournament.

"So we are going to another dungeon soon. I will go buy some metals since I need them. Mor metal energy the better." Brad didn't even try to stay. He walked right out. He also wanted to get metal for ralph. Three days was enough time to push his possessed helm to stability since it had been slowly absorbing the black iron sword and shield.

"Ella, what are you thinking?" Clark saw that Ella was clearly forcing herself to think faster than before.

"Developing theories to increase my personal growth speed. My beasts have started to outpace me. I can not allow them to do so or else it will overwhelm me. I am already holding them back." This was already clear to Clark. He had seen the issue growing since Ella had been so diligent in her research and planning.

"I can help you with that. Train with me and Maria. We will be pushing pretty hard the next few days." Clark knew that Isa would be completely occupied by the growth and changes of her ice maiden. That was why Clark had said three days.

"That is good. I can rely on you two to assist me instrengthening my physical body while I meditate at night. Three days without rest should be doable." Maria was about to tell Ella to relax more but she bit her tongue. She knew that if she were to say this that whatever Ella was feeling would be tossed aside. Her brother had been harmed.

Ella may not show her emotions much, but she was clearly unhappy. Angry.

'Quest: assist the Nebula family in recovering their third member- completed

The Nebula family member poisoned by the absolute zero worm is in need of ice dragon's saliva. Being able to get it from the exact dragon that the worms feed off would be ideal to perfectly heal the man from the poison.

Requirement: get the ice dragon's saliva.

Reward: 1 hidden gotcha ticket, one large dragon crystal, one large shadow crystal, one large death crystal, 1 beast weapon specific gotcha ticket.'

'The rewards are being sent to the host's taming space. The gotcha will be able to be used when the host desires from now on.'

Clark saw the completion of the quest to help Henry Nebula completed. It meant that they had provided the required item and things were progressing. Now they just needed to wait to see what else would happen.

"For now, everyone needs to rest. At least six hours of sleep. Ella, your mind will be weak if we start now. Sleep and get back to your best. Everyone else should do so as well. Reese, can you go catch up to Brad and get him to rest too?" Clark saw Reese give a thumbs up.

No one argued the need for rest. As the leader of their group, Clark was thinking of the overall good. However, he was also thinking about the fact that he wanted to see what the hidden gotcha would give him and the beast weapon gocha ticket would give him.
