Chapter 394: Flow In To Battle

Chapter 394: Flow In To Battle

Keeping their movements a secret had fallen apart. Shy had begun to actively stomp on the threads left behind by other glacial spiders. The sudden bursts of ice were nothing to the glacial spider body she was controlling. It was also assisting in her learning when it came to how to move such a larger creator.

Since Shy was smaller than the Glacia spider by a significant amount, she had a large learning curve to chase. The threads that she could create were numerous. This had been seen when she had attacked during the tournament. At the time she had only been able to create them for a moment. With so much shadow energy from the shadow crystals, Shy could create them for longer.

However, right now she was using far fewer to manipulate the insides of an already dead beast. It was a decent quality since the group had not dismembered the glacial spider. That alone gave the glacial spider more energy left within its body for Shy to use. Therefore, it slowed the degradation.

"One incoming!" Ralph braced behind Brad as a glacial spider attacked with its full force. This one was slightly larger than the previous one but it was just as ineffective at attacking since it was not a full adult.

The reactions from Isa and Maria were instantaneous. An arrow and a large spike of dense ice short out at it. Isa had learned from last time and had her ice maiden help her create much stronger ice spikes to fire.

The two projectiles shot right at the exposed head of the glacial spider leaving absolutely no chance for it to survive. Shy didn't even have to worry about it since she was still pushing forward. She had known that Brad and Ralph were ready for their defenses so she had not worried about it.

With no other holding back, Isa began gathering more ice to create another solid spike to replace the one she had used. The process was very interesting to Grace who could learn a lot from Isa's high understanding of ice elemental energy. She had bonded with the ice maiden very carefully, which meant that Isa was able to fuse much more closely with the ice maiden than her newest beasts.

"Another one…oh. Nice job Shy!" Brad found himself braced for no reason. The smaller glacial spider was stomped out in one move by the glacial spider body that Shy controlled. That was the beauty of burning more energy from the glacial spider's body, Shy could force the body beyond its normal strength to crush opponents.

"Is this it?" Ella had seen the slight change ahead of them. In just a few more steps, the abundant white frost silk threads that covered the opening in the passageway were clear.

A single attack from the flame spite caused the silk to become damaged and fall away. What was revealed was a larger room covered in bits of thread. But what was focused on the ceiling and the corner were the large clumps of defeated and trapped beasts.

Then there were the multiple glacial spiders that had been hanging around the room which were not on high alert with the attack from Isa's flame sprite.

"Good, that's some room to work. Everyone out of the way, I will procure these specimens." Ella had lost her handle on patience. She had wanted to get more information on these beasts before her. The materials were high quality, the beasts were able to grow to a shocking degree, and they were something she had never seen a tamer raise before.

It was uncharted territory for her so how could she let them get away?

As Ella released the blue flame skeleton from her taming space, the strength it had was evident. Although it was muffled by Ellas' weaker control of it, the blue flame skeleton was perfectly loyal to her. It just couldn't draw the immense strength that came from fully fusing with the skeleton it had been given.

While this had happened slower than most growth processes, it was still well ahead of what it should have taken for time to grow. The fire crystals it was given with the bits of undead energy it gained helped the blue flame skeleton adapt to the new strength of energy it had.

Without any holding back, mostly because it couldn't, the blue flame skeleton released a large burst of blue flames. The wave of flames hit the weaker and younger spiders causing the ice armors on them to melt in to puddles within moments. The larger spiders which had eaten more prey were less affected but radically weakened.

"Like we would let you do it all." Isa and Maria saw the perfect opening to release ice and arrows at the weak glacial spiders.

"They really had to do that. I will look bad if I don't move now." Clark was able to stretch a little and held the black throwing needles between his fingers. His movements were quick and precise as he whipped them out one at a time. Each attack hitting joints or eyeballs before disappearing and reappearing back in Clark's hands.

The attacks were like a dance of speed and elegance. These movements were the power from the dragon energy and the fluidity of the ghostly steps. But what Clark felt the most were the connections between the two. The fact that Devi had energies that mixed with Crim and Shy. the relationship between them.

The bonds were linked through him so he could manipulate the best qualities of each energy for himself. The shadows to hide his movements and give off an illusion. The ghostly movements appear as if he was floating or drifting through space. Then the strength to burst here and there with the dragon energy which was always powerful in any situation.

These all put him right in to the flow of battle like a true warrior above all else.

Spinning Here and there, the sound around Clark died down. Before long, he found that he was barely able to find even the smallest of glacial spiders. When he stopped, his breathing was ragged and everyone was staring at him from a corner with jaws dropped.

"We said we would show off, but you just annihilated everything here with needles. Tiny little throwing needles." Isa was trying to understand how a single needle had gone from hitting and weakening to suddenly piercing through the weak points of the glacial spider's bodies.

'The energy understanding and relationships have become closer due to the hosts' meditation. The ghostly steps have reached their pique and begun to alter as the host has influenced them with other energies.'

The system left this one message. Not a reward but proof that Clark's unspoken question of what had happened was amazing and getting closer to his goals. There was also the fact that he felt he had been in a unique mindset. One that allowed him to understand the influencers of energies better.

The simple reason he had fallen right in to this was none other than the group around him. The sudden enemy attack together with them had let his instincts take over completely. He wanted to fight with everyone without holding back. Not to mention the energy gathering that everyone had been doing. The fact that they had all trained as well also played a small part.

"That's because he was running around outside like a weirdo. He said it was movement techniques but he was just trying to follow devi, Crim, and Shy. Now he is moving like the three of them. He might be trying to turn in to a beast too." Ralph was clearly jealous of Clark's sudden improvements. But that didn't mean it was a bad thing.

It meant that Ralph was watching and keeping track of where he could push himself.

"That was impeccable precision. I will copy the style." Reese looked at his partner for a moment before looking back at Clark with a thumbs up.

"Stop gawking and gather the silk. Clark showed us up and needs to rest. We have less and less time the more you sit around doing nothing." Isa suddenly snapped back in to motion as she noticed that Ella was no longer writing quick notes about how Clark had just battled. She was now more interested in the large silk lumps here and there that could be eggs or trapped prey.

The blue flame skeleton had returned to Ella's taming space. It had been struggling to battle proving that it was well behind in what it should be at for energy reserves. Ella would have to begin harsher meditation and training once they were outside the dungeon to keep up. Her beasts were growing fast after so many years of hard study and effort. A good and a bad thing. Ella just needed to try harder.

"We should be prepared for anything left behind. I don't know what there might be in these cocoons or masses of silk." Clark tried analyzing things but found he was at a loss since everything was covered. But that was all he could do. He needed to take a moment and gather his wits again.
