Chapter 385: Sudden breakthrough

"Get moving!" The shout was from none other than Maria. She had found that Ralph had made some pretty terrible armor for Brad to use as an extra weight. But she loved it. The only problem she had with it all was that Brad and Ralph were slower than anything else while joining their workouts.

"You said you were here for training but you are here to sit around?! How can you waste our time! Look at Jerold and Reese. They haven't stopped for a second." Maria would have made a better case if the two boys didn't look like their minds had broken along with the muscles that were tearing inside their bodies while waiting for Lit to heal them again.

"I guess that just means I am better. Right, Ralph? Plus, Brad is always going to be weak." Clark couldn't hold back. He was fairing pretty well with the strength training. So was Illia but Illia didn't have any desire to jump in to the teasing. But she was impressed how easily Clark could direct the attention of others with just a few words.

Brad had become more focused on the training the minute that Clark had said he would be too weak. This wasn't because Brad wanted to be all powerful. It was the desire to be able to get his partner to the right strength. To get stronger and face the world together with his possessed helm.

It was never a good thing to underestimate the hyper focus of an odd genius and the promises he made to his partner.

Although, Ralph was more simple than that. He just wanted to catch up to Clark. He hated that he had seen Clark forge something easily. Something that even the experienced blacksmith couldn't forge. Then there was still the battle prowess and knowledge. Ralph could care less about intellect but he wanted to be stronger than Clark.

"You spent the entire night meditating and now you have the mouth to mess around with us? Really!" Ralph made it to the top of the ice hill that the ice maiden, frost finch, and glacial serpent had made for their training. It had been everyones' training since it worked on ice control for the beats with the affinity and then also used for strength training.

"You Know that he said he was going to invent his own unique meditation method, right? Do you know how hard that is? That can take generations. He even had ways for me to alter mine and that should have taken years to do for me. I might not have even done it in my lifetime." Isa was very protective after hearing that Clark had made such a large new goal.

Little did everyone know that Clark already had an idea after he had spent the night meditating. "I want to make sure that I can make things work out better for me in the long run. I have a mess of energies from multiple beasts and they somewhat overlap. Shadows, death, dragon, fire, lightning, water, wind, and spiritual. They all exist in some form.

But I need to figure out what the core of my being will be." Clark tried to sound lofty but it just sounded as if he was more lost in the mystery himself.

"I think it's great. We can see how you make a better meditation technique then after you do it we will have you make one for us. Unless you don't think that you can?" Grace was sure that Clark would succeed. She had gained an unshakable trust in him after he had helped her wind whisperer become a frost finch. But she had also started to speak out more and become more friendly.

The group was good at bringing each other out of their shells.

"No, you don't, you are going to be learning more about ice. If Clark makes one that's better than what I am sharing with you then you need to show me too." Illia was not having this. She and Grace had been bonding a lot over what Grace had to ask her. But now Illia was watching her new friend and student get pulled away? No way!

"If you can speak then you can train! Next set of work outs!" Maria was smiling a little while going through the circuit she had learned from Ellla's older brother. But it wasn't just because she was happy that they were improving. She was happy that Lit had learned a new skill.

During the training in the morning, Maria had been worried that Lit wouldn't be able to keep up. That was when Lit had extended tentacles to everyone and begun healing all of them at the same time. It had been a long while since Lit had grown but now she suddenly had shown off the multi heal skill that was normally too hard to learn.

Having this meant that lit was able to heal them all at once. It was slower than the normal healing skill that Lit could use, but that was fine. All they had to do was make sure that they were feeding themselves right and the pain from the constant training would fade. If only for a moment though.

The result was also that Lit was getting much more proficient in healing. The same principle was happening in Clark's taming space. Crim had really taken it to heart when he had less control of the decaying flames he was capable of. Let alone the normal flames that he could easily breathe now. But only being able to use them a few times felt like an insult to him and all dragons.

"Clark, how are you able to keep moving under the additional stress? You have been carrying those metal ingots in a bag all morning." Illia had been stuck on this for some time. She had seen that Clark took out some of the metal that Ralph made and put it all in a backpack. It seemed odd but when he wore it while working out she was stunned.

"Well, I have been focusing on energies while meditating. They flow through me and the dragon energy seems to be the most physically versatile. So I stay focused on that while moving and it makes me able to carry more. So I need this to train my body better. You should be the same as your ice wyrm grows stronger."

"That's it? But you should still feel tired…" Illia wanted to argue that it wasn't how this worked. But she remembered how Clark had easily taken out some dragon lilies to share with her. Because of that her ice wyrm had been growing a decent margin every day. This meant that Clark might have many more dragon materials that have fed Crim and his own energy.

"It's done!" The shout of victory came from Ella who had just rushed from the mansion. She was looking at the ice that had been made but her face said that she was waiting to show off other things.

"What happened?" Clark asked this but he was already done looking for answers when he saw the beast behind Ella.

'Cloud sprite- ultra rare

The cloud sprite is the living mists' second growth stage. It takes a great deal of training, wind, and water energies to condense itself and become a cloud. It is able to spread its body just like mist but also use denser water and wind to attack. It also creates a body out of clouds even though it is not necessarily a physical being since it can become mist at any time.

The best quality that the cloud sprite possesses is the ability to draw in water and wind from the weather. It can even create small rainstorms with the chance to naturally create lightning even though it has no control over that lightning due to the lack of affinity.

It can grow and become a cloud king which is considered a great beast for farming since it can bring rainstorms to barren areas. But that underestimates the strength that a cloud king has since it can greatly control the wind and water around it.

Due to the addition of fire energy and other elemental energies in small amounts, there is a chance that a storm king could be a path for this cloud sprite to take. It is very small in chance but plausible with the right growth plan.'

There was much more for Clark to read about the beast that had just grown much faster and well ahead of the plan that Ella had. However, that was why Ella was so happy and proud. She had managed to surpass even what the system analysis had said. She had helped her beast break through to a much more powerful level than anyone else in their group. A true genius.

'That's a cloud sprite! Ella, that's amazing! Bring me a journal, I will write you something good." Clark was very excited for the short break but also for the fact that there were two choices of growth for the cloud sprite. A cloud king or a storm cloud king. Both majorly powerful and much rarer than what they were now. It was surely going to be a legendary beast in the future.
