Chapter 375: Last Few Materials

It was shocking to see a valuable material like this. It was an ice phoenix feather. It may just be from a young ice phoenix but it was extremely valuable to any ice type beast. Just having it with the beast would allow them to rapidly grow. If this was used correctly, then it would be the best material for Grace or Isa.

"Um, what do you think this is?" Hearing Clark's question brought a slightly confused look to the attendant's face. It was clear to her what the material was.

"That is an ice roc feather. They are weaker beasts compared to some others but they are still powerful birds with ice feathers like that. It would be a very good material for an ice type beast or an avian beast trying to awaken or increase its ice type." The attendant had thoroughly been through the vault and learned what they needed. They were tasked with this.

"I'm sorry but… that's wrong." Clark wanted to just take the item. However, he didn't have a negative relationship with Nebula. He even felt that he had a very good relationship with them. Illia had welcomed his plan while her mother, the city lord, had also taken the time to praise him and his team. It would undo all of that if they found out that he robbed them of an incredible material.

"I am unsure of what you mean. These items were checked by some of the best appraisers we have here in Nebula." The attendant was a little on edge since she had just been told flat out that she was wrong.

"I am not insulting anyone. I can see how this material would be confused. But please ask that someone comes here for me to explain this to. This has a much greater value than an ice roc. If you must know, this is a young ice phoenix feather. It is not a material for anyone to use and it is extremely rare." Clark held his breath worrying that he should not have her believing his words.

But he also worried that she would get caught by greed.

"I will ask the young miss and my lord of what they wish me to do. I am not qualified to counter your statement." It was just a moment, but the attendant was gone from sight. Clark just stood still waiting. He felt that he had been left completely alone for no reason. But after a few minutes, there was the sound of multiple footsteps coming toward him from where he stood.

"Clark, my mother sent me to see what was happening. The attendant said that one of our materials may be misidentified?" Illia was with the same attendant as before. She appeared a little curious while also very confused.

"Yes, this is not an ice roc feather. It is actually a young ice phoenix feather. It is much more valuable than what you had thought. It can not be used as a material unless it is taken by a very qualified blacksmith with very specific materials.

It can be used as an accessory to help a beast in general or be used to make an accessory with the very same qualities or better." Clark also shared the fact that an ice phoenix was very rare in general but Illia was still stuck on the material she had never thought much of.

"And instead of taking it, you wanted to tell us? You trust that you have enough skill to evaluate most materials and discern more than what we might have?" Illia seemed to have refocused. But her sharp gaze had clearly been a characteristic that was passed down from her mother. It was the same sharp look that the city lord had when she had looked at the audience the very first day.

The look she had when she was warning of the rules.

"Yes, I have a pretty good knowledge base. With Ella recording the journals, Maria sketching, and Isa doing business we have been very well off. But now we have some other members. I think Ralph will be forging sooner than we expect, Reese, Brad, and Grace will be a mystery as of yet. But Jerold might be good to work as information gathering for Isa since he has his armored chameleon."

The way that Clark had just rattled it all off like it was a simple plan of business made Illia nearly falter in her cool and collected appearance. "Then you are sure. You can take this feather if you want but it will come at the cost of three of your materials. Its rarity is unprecedented. It also appears that you will make better use of it due to your knowledge. Please continue."

Clark was a bit shocked that Illia just let the feather go. It was from an ice phoenix! That Was a very valuable item to a place with so many ice type tamers and beasts. But what he saw in Illia's eyes was that she would not go back on her word at all. "Then I will take it as a gift.

I won't argue with you on it." This was surely the best way that Illia was making sure that Clark and his entire group would be attached to Nebula even more.

With this done, Illia watched as Clark moved around looking at the rest of the materials. The rest of the things he found were less shocking as the ice phoenix feather. "I will take this large shadow crystal. It is actually very useful for me even though it is more or less useless for anyone else." Illia had an idea of what that was for since Clark had somewhat explained his beasts to her.

'Eternal ice shard- legendary

The eternal ice shard is a unique piece of eternal ice that is unable to be forged. It is best used as a material to encourage the attraction of ice type energy. Unfortunately, this eternal ice shard is kept in a place that it can not do so making it a seemingly useless piece of eternal ice. Certain beasts would love to use this as a piece of their nests due to the strength of ice type energy.

It is said that these shards were once part of a beast but there is no evidence of this.'

Clark read this and wondered why it was impossible to forge. He had the skills but he still wouldn't be able to do it. It was the main reason he selected this item over multiple others. He had already looked at a few metals, other large energy crystals, and random materials for everyone else. He had the quota he had needed to get.

But what he was still stumped about was what he would do with his new odd material that couldn't be used much at all.

"That's everything then?" Illia looked at the attendant and took Clark with her. "With that you should be able to help your team a lot before the dungeon. But I recommend that you still try to find more as well. You will be allowed to stay in my house if you want. I expect that we can have your business available to us?' Illia was showing her actual plans.

She would be able to have a business at the ready so that she would be able to get a beat plan set up for any and all beasts she needed.

"I was planning to stay wherever we could train the best. I need my beasts to absorb as much energy as possible. We even have our own energy crystals prepared while adding the ones we just got. That should help a lot." Clark knew that the city lord's mansion would have the best training areas in all of Nebula.

It was not the same as staying in Nebula academy. However, it was better. The academy would have presented more battles and challenges since the students would want to see what Nova was made of. Staying away from them would allow the group to focus on themselves and also gain some experience.

"Good, I will have the rooms ready. It should be your team and Ella, correct? The rest of the third years didn't appear to be on your side as much as Ella so I was thinking it would be better to keep things separate." Illia saw Clark nod in approval. She had seen correctly.

"We won't see them for some time after we leave the dungeon. My team has a lot of academies to visit. We even have to meet with the white robe healer's group so that we can go to their training dungeons for Maria. We will be very busy. It could take a few months or maybe even a year." Clark was very honest.

"That's a good plan then. It means that I will have to make some changes myself. I want to be able to see how my ice wyrm can battle with your dragon when you see me again." The desire to be a powerful dragon tamer was clear where Illia stood. It was nice to have another dragon around.
