Chapter 373: Meeting For Rewards

Clark couldn't help but feel that everything had been like a rollercoaster ride. He even believed that he might get whiplash from everything that happened. Right before his eyes, people had begun bringing out food, tables, and even starting fires so that everyone would be warm.

The stands where people had been sitting were quickly becoming places for those that had watched to converse. Even those families that had returned and chosen not to remain in hiding or leave altogether were there speaking with their colleagues.

Fabrics with each academy's emblem had been released on the high walls making the atmosphere change even more. It was very sudden and made Clark feel he was in a very odd situation. But what stopped him from having time to think about that was the familiar face from Terra academy. "Purple, how are you feeling?" Clark knew that his previous opponent was surely still feeling the strain.

He had used a lot of his muscles beyond what they should be used for in their battle.

"We have recovered very well. It will be a few weeks before full strength. After that, we will be training. I came to hand you this letter of official invitation. My professor had the mark of our headmaster with us. I have full permission to invite you and your entire group to our academy." there was some pride in his voice.

Inviting a tough opponent that he believed it was exactly what a real warrior would want.

"I would not refuse. I want to see where you have trained and where you and your unique beasts come from. I have so much that I could learn by going there. But I also want to get a lot stronger. Today is very telling of what we might face in the future." The last serious sentence that Clark said made Purple nod with sharp intent.

He too had understood weakness was something they all possessed in comparison to the real tamers that protected a city.

"Many in our academy have seen the third year, Ella's beast. They have never seen it and wonder if it was truly a wisp once upon a time. I hope that you will be able to enlighten us. You appear to be in business with her?" Purple was clearly asking for others. But it was fine, Terra academy was known for their earth type beasts.

It made sense that they would wonder what, how, when, and where along with many other things when it came to Ella's earth prince.

"It was once an earth wisp. Ella had too many wisps under her control. But through very hard work she was able to learn about them. Her spirit beast is that spirit infant that you saw. It was once just a plain old spiritual wisp. But it is now on the path to be a spirit king or was it a spirit emperor?

One of the two. A beast that no one has ever seen. Or at least we have it planned out like that." Clark saw that the spiritual nature of Ella's beats was what had caught purple's eye. Since he had a rare beast that became one with his spirit, it made sense.

"You might be able to learn more if you ask us to help you evaluate and create a growth plan for you and your purple spirit parasite. The two of you are strong, but what if you could alter your direction slightly?" Clark didn't say this just to bait more gold to fall in to his pockets. It was a promise that he could do more than what they were thinking.

" We will make note of that. I believe that you can become a figure head for the future with your strength already. I will have things prepared well for when you visit." The prompt ending wasn't to be rude, but because they both realized that Clark was about to be pulled away. Illia had already pulled away all the winners of battles toward a private area.

This was definitely for rewards to be discussed.

"It appears I interrupted, however, it is time to see the lord and a few of the other important Nebula figures. The first years will be the first up." Illia seemed to have this job as Nebula's number one first year student and also as the daughter of their city Lord.

"It's fine, just an invitation. I already have one from Lunar academy as well. And you. So I have three academies to spend time at. But you already heard that Grace and Ralph want to stick around here for a while. I think we would be here for a while longer too though." Clark had the feeling that he could make use of the forging skill he had.

He wanted to create a few more unique weapons since they would be very valuable to Nebula.

"You will not be asked to leave any time soon. Many of Nebula saw how you fight and even heard that you were the first to come up with plans. They also know the rumors of your business with influential figures. Also the relationship with the third year battle genius that was able to work with one of our best known third year students." Illia was speaking about the boy that had the Gemini beast.

"I would like to meet him at some point. Having Gemini as a beast would be something very interesting to see. I just wonder what it's like. How it might grow. It must have been strange growing up like that." while many challenges were surely put in front of the tamer that had a beast like Gemini, there was also sure to be many benefits.

"I am unsure if you will be able to see him. He used most of the energy saved by his beast. The opposition between the hot and the cold within his body causes him to remain in meditation for weeks at a time. I assume it will be at least a month before it is safe for his health." this was a major drawback that Clark had envisioned. But he wasn't afraid that he wouldn't be in Nebula still at this point.

"Well, depending on the dungeon, we will still be here by then. I assume it is not an easy in and out trip?" Illia gave a slight nod. But she couldn't answer. Clark found himself because led to one of the private rooms.

It was just a moment before he found the ornate table and the better quality foods that awaited him. In the large waiting room there was every winner of the tournament. First through fourth years are all in the same spot. Maria had made it there before Clark but his entire group had remained together. Ella was naturally with them since she was a member as far as anyone was concerned.

"Good, now that everyone is present, we will be sharing the basic rewards. From what I have already received based on your mentors, professors, and from what have seen of your battles. You may all want different materials. Each of you will be brought to the materials vault based on your year and team choice.

That is the material reward you will select." Illia's mother, the nebula city lord was standing looking at all of them slowly.

"Next the professors of Nebula will be preparing for your rooms within Nebula academy campus. You will be allowed to use the facilities and even attend classes while we gather the escort team to the dungeon that you will all be going to." an older woman stood up and spoke next. From what everyone gathered, she was the headmaster of Nebula academy.

"And those that do not wish to go to the dungeon may leave at any time. If you are worried for safety, then know that I will be there." the very same man that boasted the best swordsmanship in all of Nebula was the last to speak. It was enough to make everyone remain silent. Three powerful tamers at once had awaited them.

That wasn't all though, there were small packages on the side tables around. They radiated elemental energies. "All of you should be able to see the rewards there as well. Each of you have the elemental crystals of your choice as rewards too. I can even have them switched if you find that necessary. Some are unique while others are common.

I recommend you spend the next few days putting them to good use. Now please await my attendants to take you to the rewards."

"Clark is choosing for all of us, right?" Maria looked at Clark and then to everyone else. No one argued at all. They had all assumed he would anyways.

"If that's what you want. I thought that you would all want to try your hand. Especially Ella."

"No, I trust you. But the materials for those on my team are mostly being paid to me. I can not choose them though. They will be gathering them. They may pay me the elemental crystals instead." Ella had made her own details for guaranteeing victory. The rest of the team was impressed that she had done some especially Isa who saw a massive profit in this.

"Unfortunately, we also have to realize that there was a massive attack on our city." Nebula's city lored looked at everyone. "The dragon eggs we hoped to share with the best of the best was stolen. we are currently hunting it down which is why there are additional elemental crystals given to everyone.
