Chapter 360: Mix Of Dragon And Ghost

"You don't have to heal me. We hate fighting anyways so we'll be done here." The Nebula academy student didn't hide the fact that he was happy to give up the point. Partly because of the poison hiring him but also because of the things Maria had done.

Not only had Maria jumped to help his yeti when it was being stabbed by the red threads and bone needles of the patchwork collector. But she had also immediately rushed to heal him. Fighting someone so caring like she was would be an insult to the kindness she had showed.

"Don't try and argue with me. You're hurting too. I can see some muscle tears and how you're shaking." The boy laughed a little before raising his arm weakly and calling the referee. "I'll see you at the end of tournament banquet. Don't think we won't be thanking you." Many healers took the boy and his yeti away but they both left happier than when they entered.

"I want to say you did well…but I hate how hurt you are. Just sit down and watch me work on the last two." Clark's annoyed voice didn't hurt Maria's feelings. She smiled. Clark couldn't even hide his worry knowing that she had been hurt and needed to push herself so far for the last match.

No one else had said a word as Clark had entered the arena. He had been made very angry seeing the things that someone had done to the bodies of others. Taking their parts to use as their own wasn't always unheard of or bad. It was common for some but here, it was horrendous. It was a disgusting thing done by someone that should not have had the chance.

The poor children taken from, the enemies killed just to take their parts, and however many more atrocities that had been committed.

"My team leader has told me to support you with everything that I have to offer." The boy that came up was wearing dense armor. He had not called out his beast yet but he was ready to act under the orders of Clark. That was how he had to be. A soldier of Nebula. His entire family line had stood for the defense of the city no matter the ruler.

"Just stay where you are. I will kill this one in a blink of an eye." Clark made a big claim. However, he was not joking. The anger radiating off of him was more than just a small annoyance. It was a seething poison that seemed to strangle the Nebula academy student.

"Another dead… so sad but wait to see what I can do." The girl that came on the stage spoke sweetly. She seemed ready to show off everything she had to kill them. She was even holding her rapier at the ready to do just that.

"Begin!" The referee shouted out the start of the match. Even they were looking at the arena and hoping for the end of the tournament to come sooner than later.

The burst of wind that came through the arena was nothing normal. It was simply because Clark had used his full speed and fused with Crim to have the wings push him faster. His ghostly steps had advanced even more than before after his last match. It Was clear that the hurdle stopping him from better adding Crim's wings to the ghostly steps was gone.

The black lightning spear appeared through the ethereal academy girl's throat. A brutal and violent attack. But it was swift. Decisive. "I've decided that murderers shouldn't have anything held back against them. Suffer for every crime you have committed." Clark's judgment was brutal.

It was faster than anyone had expected.

'The host has successfully completed a hidden quest! The fusion of dragon win style. movement styles (unlearned) and the ghostly steps (given). The host has earned the book of ghostly dragons steps as a reward.

The additional reward for completing this hidden quest is a single vial of moving shadow liquid.

Book of ghostly dragons- Legendary

After passing away, ten dragon souls united themselves to create a new species of ghostly dragon. They found they were able to harness the unique spiritual and death energy to create the fusion of ghostly energy. This energy was perfect for moving unseen, unheard, and sometimes even through objects.

These steps greatly surpass the movements of many other beasts or beings in the living world. They even surpassed many in the next world. They have the power to better help the tamer fuse with the death and spiritual energy their beast can gather to create ghostly energy within their body.

The body may require intensive training to be able to mix these and if overused, the host has the potential of dying. However, by mixing the dragon energy within these skills, resilience will increase. It will also boost physical abilities much further.

Vial of moving shadow liquid- ultra rare

The moving shadows are a form of liquid produced when shadow crystals are condensed naturally. This liquid is the purest form of shadow energy that would normally return to the world as shadow crystals came to be. If captured, it is a perfect material to greatly increase growth and strength of a shadow type beast. This is so powerful that there are often zero repercussions if a beast consumes this.

It can even be absorbed directly in to their body without consumption.

Legend says that the great shadow slicer, a shadow walking beast, accidentally found a pool of this. Upon drinking from it, the beast mutated and became a legendary beast well above the weak form it once had. This story is very true.'

The system added some extra things here and there. It was more like it was telling Clark when and how to use the vial of moving shadow liquid. He didn't hesitate to walk back to the Nebula academy student while pointing it on to Shy. she was right back in his hands as soon as he had asked her to stop holding on to his side while he fought.

"Do you feel like fighting? Or should you let me continue so that I can deal with the last one? He looks like he had more than we are ready for and I would prefer to be in my best shape. Especially since your leader will be here." Clark didn't hide what he was intending. He wanted to end this tournament no matter the points. Especially since even the audience didn't seem to be keeping track anymore.

The end result had to be Ethereal academy being completely wiped out.

"Understood Sir, your skills are further along than mine. I respect your choice. Please lead Nebula and Nova to victory against the evil that invaded." The boy gave a salute. Many of the guards around the arena also stood taller. It was clear that this boy had a deeper connection to the guards than Clark had believed. In return, Clark also stood taller and copied his salute.

He narrowly saw the boy smile before marching off the stage. A respectable smile.

"You did very well. I seem to be underestimating you." The calm and soft voice that Ilia" The calm and soft voice that Ilia took on as she walked through the arena to meet Clark was hard to hear but seemed loud in a way.

"I am done playing with these things. They are criminals and everyone knows it. If we don't deal with them, then how many more will die?" Clakr's point hit home with Ilia. she had been thinking the very same as she stood watching the battles and biding her time and strength.

"Then I guess you should see my first beast. She doesn't often like to come out since she isn't welcomed by many because of the species she is. But she is the reason I can raise an ice wyrm. She has just a little dragon blood separating her from her own species.

The white snake that slowly appeared out of the taming space beside Ilia was not extremely large, however, it had enough size to easily swallow two or three people.

'Glacial serpent- Legendary

The glacial serpent is a beast that normally lives in groups of a hundred or more deep within a glacial cave. However, they hold some blood of the great ice dragons, if they manage to awaken this blood they are ostracized due to the power they have.

They have the ability to greatly control ice type energy and potentially even cover themselves with ice armor. They feed on strong ice type beasts of any kind along with being able to freeze even the most resistant of ice type beasts. Their strength is considered above many.

Yet, they are also frowned upon due to the fact that they often go in to a rage due to their innate pride in having dragon blood.

Those that manage to tame them often hold a very tight leash on their and their beasts emotions to prevent these occurrences. Yet, if they manage to unite with them, they have the chance of learning to be a glacial serpent rider. A very rare and unique form of tamer that is able to maximize their battle ability through riding their beast.

Clark looked at the white serpent that had appeared and then felt the powerful ice type energy and slight dragon energy it emitted. He was more than just impressed by it. He was in awe that Illia had such a beast as a spirit beast. He wanted to ask more but his opponent was coming. It was time to fight for real.
