Chapter 335: Unknown Academy

"You have all started to get in to some trouble now." Professor right was looking directly at Clark as she said this. She was slightly unhappy but also a little happy that she had managed to hear all the new rumors floating around.

"The staff are speaking about how Nova academy first years are breaking in to the fight between Lunar and Solar academy and that they have sided with Lunar academy. I have to say, that is a unique choice but if that's the case, it's smart since they are closer to us than Solar academy." Professor Wright broke her serious face and smirked a little.

She knew well that there had been no intention of such things happening.

"It was just a talk to figure a little out about why the two academies are fighting. I want to see if they are really that terribly off or not before I risk visiting there. The dungeons might be good, especially the new one." Clark was honest in his reasoning but he had not expected so many rumors to form so fast.

"That's fine. You should learn before you have the chance to go your own way. If we do well here, you may get a chance to apply for extended leave to do your own training. Not that you can't do that already, but you should be able to get it approved more easily if you have a better set of wins here."

In other words, you should all be prepared, Nebula academy made their announcement yesterday while all of you were away. They are welcoming a new academy in as the final member of the tournament. It will cause quite some drama since they are not fully accepted yet." Professor Wright kept walking as if she had said nothing. But everyone else was stunned and hesitated. What new academy was there?

"Wait, Nebula academy had a pass for this round. They would keep getting passes if they didn't do this. So they will fight the new academy?" Isa was shocked, there were either academy that still had to fight yet they would be putting themselves right there with an unknown?

"No, Star academy will be fighting them. Nebula will be fighting Star academy in its place. It is a little rough to be organizing these things. However, Solar academy will be taking on the very first chance at this new academy. The line up may be odd but after today we will have the second place set up for the first years. Just be ready.

You will also be fighting your second battles today as the last battle of the day."

This was where the tournament was going to start splitting. The matches were going to be between people and beasts that were been further from them. However, there was also going to be the issue of not being able to see Ella's battles or anyone else from their academy since they would be fighting around so many different battles. Clark could only sigh.

"What's the name of this academy?" Clark wanted to get a feeling for what they might be facing. The unknown was always a risk.

"I believe they are called, Ethereal academy. Apparently, they do not have a city and are considered a roaming academy. That is why it is not necessarily accepted by everyone. For some reason, they have connections with Nebula city which allows them to come here. They are also very secretive and pick up students from a wide range of places. It is more or less unknown.

If you meet them, be careful." This was the return of Professor Wright's seriousness. It made them all wonder just what was going on here.

Hearing the tone of voice used, even Ralph paid closer attention. He was sure that he could fight anyone. But if Professor Wright was this worried, then he would have to make sure he won every battle he faced no matter what.

"The plan is simple today then, avoid the unknown and Let Maria show off a little. We are trying to win a bet with the white robe healing society. They said that glow sting jellyfish are weak and can't be used in battle." Clark let that be said then thought for a moment, "And forget any disguises we have. We are going to show off too much strength here. It will be easy to see who we are here.

We need to mature a little and stop hiding behind a mask."

This was a little shocking to hear, Grace, Brad, Jerold, Reese, and Ralph didn't have disguises of any kind. However, they were not the shocked nes. It was Maria and Isa that were shocked. They knew that Clark even had a secondary identity spatial ring to hide who he was. He was ready to toss that aside to garner strength and attention here.

"If that is how you will all act, I will call over a few more old friends to keep an eye on you. I know there are some enemies you have already hidden from, but hiding is only good for so long. Show your face on your terms and you can be ready to take on the world." It was good advice. Everyone knew that if an enemy surprised you after finding your secrets then it could go much worse.

It was better to set the tempo of the battle.

"Now that we are here, let's go take our seats. Ether academy and Solar academy are starting first." Professor Wright walked to the staff section and started speaking with a few people she had sat with the day before. Clark and the others found that the student sections were more full than usual. There was also a new section that was filled with a few students wearing black robes.

"They are called ether academy, it's synonymous with space, black suits them." Isa made note that there was a relationship of space and their outfits. But it also seemed to be done to keep them hidden. They were a traveling group, hiding was most likely their best method to keep moving and training safely. Many territories might hate them because they beat their geniuses in this tournament.

"Hello ladies and gentlemen! We are starting off with our traveling academy, Ethereal academy today. Welcome our late guests who charged through a dungeon break to stand before you!" The announcer made it clear why the ethereal academy had been late. "Facing them is the very bright, Solar academy! With their flames, they can light up that dark space!"

There was dissatisfaction on the faces of the Solar academy students. They clearly wanted to ditch this battle and charge at the Lunar academy students. But they had to first face the new academy that no one had even heard of. This was all to be expected though, what the audience cared more about at the moment was what this new academy would bring. What kind of beasts would they have?

'Brutal iron chains- rare

The brutal iron chains are a beast made up of living metal. The powerful metal typing and small darkness typing make it very unique. However, what is more unique is the way that it will cause pain to the tamer so that it can become stronger.

The barbed chains that make up the beast's body will cut in to their tamer's body since it refuses to ever go in to a taming space and will instead live on its tamer. Later it will become more dramatic as it grows in to its further form known as the iron champion maiden, a brutal torturing beast that rarely appears in the world.

This beast is brutal to its opponents and also its tamer, however, the tamer gains incredible strength and power from these actions. The tamer can easily fight above their level when it comes to battle. They will also have a hardened battle spirit due to the pain they are always afflicted with.'

"That ethereal academy student that just took off his robe is…he will be rough to fight." Clark wanted to voice a different opinion seeing the brutal iron chains. It was similar to Reese's beast. However, it was not as developed. It was a living chan, that was it. However, the beast took a price from their tamer that many would not choose.

"You just have some metal chains that move like snakes? You showed up like you were some special academy. Just give up now before my flame tiger has to roar." The opponent was cocky. He thought that some small metal chains would be nothing to the tiger wreathed in red flames that was by his side.

"If you understood the danger you faced, I would return to your weak friends." The boy's response was calm and without a single emotion. It made Clark wonder just what was going on here. These expressions and lack of emotion had come from real battles, not just having a beast that took a toll. It made him worry that there was more to this ethereal academy than met the eye.
