Chapter 332: Time To Walk
Chapter 332: Time To Walk
"Clark, what was that?" Maria was the only one that had been able to take her eyes from the battle that the boy with the purple spirit parasite had just won. She and all of them had heard him shout about their battle but none had understood why.
"He can send telepathic messages. He felt my gaze and didn't like me looking. But when I said I wanted to fight him, he wished me a good match later." Clark made all of them drop their jaws. He spoke like this was just a casual and common occurrence.
"Why could he sense your watching and not us? Is it because of Crim?" Maria knew that many people had been looking at Clark because they were curious about Crim. he was a dragon and Clark was a dragon tamer. That was how they all saw him, a powerful dragon tamer that would easily take on the most powerful in the first year competition.
"I would say his beats could vaguely sense mine. That would make the most sense here." Clark knew that everyone was assuming that he was speaking about Crim. However, that was very wrong. Clark was speaking about Devi who had been in the taming space keeping himself prepared and gathering energy.
Devi had a powerful skill, the chilling bite literally stole away spiritual energy from the soul of a beast. It was enough to make any being like the purple spirit parasite that was mostly spiritual in nature shiver. It could easily tear away a lot of its strength, Clark even felt that the only real way that he could stand a chance is when Devi used his full strength against the boy.
That would weaken the beast and the boy enough for Clark to stand on par with him and fight.
"You get to fight the strong ones? I want to crush that guy first then. Who is he to think I can't take him on?" Ralph mumbled to himself wanting to go and fight someone now. But he could tell that if he were to go head to head with that oy, that he would lose terribly.
"Hey, what's that beast over there that the fourth years are fighting? That's from Comet academy too, right?" The overly talkative second year spoke again. Clark had to admit that the guy had a knack for catching when people released strong beasts.
'Gale stream eagle- ultra rare
The gale stream eagle lives in the some of the most powerful wind currents. They are known to stay in the air for years at a time hunting other beasts with high wind affinity and energy that can nourish them. Some say that a gale stream eagle is born in the wind and falls until it hatches. Others say that they are born at the top of mountains.
Only a few have known that the gale stream chicks are born at the highest altitude where there is very little air and perfectly floats there on air currents.
They can control the wind as if it is part of their body. This mastery over wind can cause massive gales to tear through the world. They are considered one of the few beasts that will always grow stronger as they age. They can live close to a hundred years at maturity and keep getting stronger while remaining in the same mature gale stream eagle state.
Never has a gale stream eagle grown to become a wind art eagle. They are the pinnacle of certain worlds when it comes to wind elemental beasts. This world lacks the materials to ever help this beast appear in existence unless linked with certain dungeons.
The biggest weakness of the gale stream eagle is its understanding. If it is too young and untrained, then it will easily lose. They are too arrogant and overestimate themselves often. They love the…'
Seeing that the world lacked proper materials was a very large shock. The thought that there were multiple worlds was already proven. There were other sentient races that humans had found in the dungeons. But those very same races had been near the humans too and even had humans as beasts and the same could be said for humans. It was all too much to handle.
"They say that he has one of those eagles and it's only three years old. He used resources from his family until he ran out of everything." Another of the students gave them a little more information. It made Isa's eyes light up. This was a potential client.
"Isa, ignore them, we can't help that beast right now. We lack the materials. I can explain more later but to be honest, it will be hard to help many beasts if we encounter the same issue." Having Clark end their potential business deal before it even started was odd for Isa, however, she trusted his judgment.
"Clark, the information?" Ella just handed another journal to Clark for him to fill out. He was certain that by the time this tournament was over, there would be a library ready to be built for all of the knowledge that Ella had accumulated.
'Rock serpent- rare
The rock serpent is a rare golem that creates a body similar to that of a snake. They are able to condense tough armor out of rocks and eventually through years of growth can create a flesh and blood body by consuming other beasts and adding them to its core.
They are thought of as barbaric due to this feature. Yet, they are able to do so because they have a secondary typing with water. This allows them to fish their innate water and earth typing to replicate life and take a step toward becoming a true forest serpent. They will have the same rock armor but a woody secondary skin that protects their organs.
This is a beast known to be kept by many who live in the forests because the rock serpent can help fertilize large areas. The places it digs also become ideal homes for animals or plant roots to grow depending on the size. This rock serpent is one step away from becoming a mud serpent, the first step to growing in to a forest serpent.'
"That rock serpent there, we can help it. That's a Terra academy first year too. We should speak with them a little if we get the chance. I already want to see how I can battle against that guy with the purple spirit parasite." Clark knew that Isa would be selling that information. She was a merchant but she was also looking out for the best of their academy.
The more information she sold the higher chances that the other academies would eliminate the big hitters. That would leave Nova academy with an easy win.
"Then I will reach out. Should I find good materials?" Isa was greedily looking at Clark for a chance to go further. However, Grace acted like a saving grace and pulled Isa away to ask her questions. She had managed to catch on to the small ticks that Isa had when she was only thinking of business. This was a good show of how Grace was starting to become one with their group.
"Clark, Reese and I are going back with Ralph. We need to prepare a little more." Clark expected the three to leave. Brad could take the energy for his possessed helm while Ralph trained with his boar. That left Reese to do the same with his abyssal serpent. The metal energy couldn't be completely consumed as the molten boar trained to be able to purify ores.
Adding Isa's assistance in finding more ores, and it was endless training. This also made certain that they would be stronger before the next battle.
"Maria, want to go for a walk then? Ella will be caught up here, Grace and Isa are busy, Those three headed back, and Jerold is off somewhere alone." Clark didn't bat an eye as he asked Maria to walk with him. He was being nice and wanted to spend the time with her. However, he had already set his sights on the other students while he walked.
Not to mention, he had a guard that professor Wright had left with him.
"Of course I do. It would be nice to see a little more of the arena since we have been forced to stay in one place." Even though Maria wanted to see the battles, she wanted to see what Clark was thinking about doing. She also didn't want to turn down time with him. She had been stuck with the others and wanted to spend the time well.
"I was thinking that we haven't seen or heard much about lunar and solar academies. They might be some interesting students since they have beasts that stick around at night and during the day. We also don't see many beats with light typing. Think you could learn a little healing from light type beasts?" Clark made casual conversation while he looked at the distant seats.
There were far too few students in them from the two academies.
