Chapter 328: An Interesting Visitor

Maria had no hesitation to call lit and her Midngithnight eel out. They both were moving around the room with curiosity as Clark released the large sea serpent in to the room. Since it was still young, they were not crowded too much. But it was still large enough to take up too much space.

The midnight eel became very excited when he saw it. It could sense the energy in the body of the sea serpent. Since it was a dark type beast it was not of the same type, however, it was an eel. It had many distant family members that were water type beasts. That just meant that it was compatible with the blood from the sea serpent to some degree.

"Do you think they will get stronger from this?" Maria was a little hesitant seeing that the midnight eel was waiting for permission to bite down on the body and eat its fill.

"Yes, your midnight eel should be able to grow much faster with the concentrated energy in this. You might even get a secondary typing or a unique mutation. The midnight eel is an odd beast." Clark knew that the midnight eel had some potential.

But he didn't have any information from the system about what might change if the midnight eel consumed the blood of a sea serpent that had trace bloodline from leviathan.

"And Lit?" Lit seemed uninteresting. However, as a princess jellyfish, she was already on the way to becoming a queen jellyfish. She just needed spiritual energy and some poison type energy to make it further along. The body of the sea serpent held a decent amount of residual spiritual energies from when the sea serpent was alive. Every living thing had some degree of spiritual energy within it.

"Good." Maria watched calmly as the two ate their fill. Lit just barely touched the sea serpent's body and absorbed energy. She also watched as Clark got to work storing away some blood in vials and peeling off scales. Isa was right there with him too, she was sure that the materials would be valuable even though the sea serpent was so young.

The rest of the group was stuck just watching the three and wondering just what they had going on in their heads. Ralph was the first to stop caring since he and his molten boar could relax and focus until the morning. The others followed suit and went to rest themselves. It was an odd way to end the day and start it.

But when the morning came, no one was surprised to hear some commotion outside their inn.

"Don't worry about that." Professor Wright had arrived at some point while they were resting and before the noises had woken them up. "This always happens. A few people from the losing side lost their bets and come to cause trouble. The guards are already handling it.

But while we go to the arena today to watch the other academies battle, you will be guarded.' Clark thought that was wise but still took a glance out the window.

He saw a few students that were shouting and a few guards dragging them away. He also saw a few merchants that were red faced and clearly under the influence. However, he saw a rather calm student whom he had noticed. "Professor, I am going to speak to someone really quick. I'll be right back."

"You will go with one of my beasts then. It should ward off anything that looks at you funny." Professor Wright waved her hand and a small beetle exposed itself. It had been right on her shoulder the entire time and Clark had been blind to it.

'Assassin beetle- ultra rare

The assassin beetle is a rare fire and light dual type insect beast. It is often hard to find and hunts much larger prey than it to lay thousands of eggs. The larvae will die off leaving at most five causing it to have a very low population.

Using the light typing, it can wrap itself in light to hide from almost everything that depends on light to see. It also has great patience so that it can stay still without moving for days on end while feeding off of light and heat.

It uses a small but extremely hot spark to kill prey in a single attack. Often, prey that is attacked is burned so badly that portions of its body burn to ash. They are considered one of the strongest hidden attackers when it comes to any bug type beast. There are few that can stand above the assassin beetle.'

Professor Wright had this beast on her shoulder hidden away from them for a long time. In a single leap and small flutter of wings, the assassin beetle landed on Clark's shoulder and hid itself again. "Thank you for the protection." Clark could barely feel the weight of the assassin beetle but he could feel the strength that it had. It was much stronger than any beast he had or he had seen recently.

"Just be smart." Professor Wright saw that Clark had an idea. She also knew that he wasn't preparing to fight so she wanted to let him do what he needed to do. She had already figured out that Clark was always acting to make everyone and himself better. He hadn't shown once that he was a foolish child in any way. If she had known better, she would say that he was a mature adult to some degree.

As Clark got down the stairs and outside, most of the merchants that had been drinking all night and had lost money were gone. The boy Clark had seen was still there." So, you came all the way here. What do you need?" Clark saw the boy flinch a little before he took a deep breath and calmed himself.

"Can I have one of the eggs back? My little sister found them. Her beast is already dead and that student took them from my sister because he said he already had one and it was only right to have two more."

"So you're from celestial sea islands? I take it that your sister and parents don't know you are here?" Clark saw that the boy's eyes grew wider as he spoke.

"And you might be surprised, but I saw you yesterday. You clearly snuck in to the arena to watch the match. And that little dagger definitely was not going to kill anyone. You would have been caught before you ever got near celestial sea academy students." Clark could tell he was already scaring the boy. But he did remember his face from the arena. No one stared so intently at them while they fought.

Nor did the audience just stare silently when Clark finished his match and took the eggs and the sea serpent's body. It was too odd for Clark not to notice.

"We–we can because we need to make money to help heal my sister after he too-"

It's fine. I know more or less your situation. Let me take a better guess though. Your sister is older, she discovered a sea serpent's nest. She stole the two eggs but someone managed to hear of it somehow. That rich brat said to his parents, I want that.

Then he took it and killed your sister's beast and nearly her. Your parents are here seeking their own chance to get gold to recover. You even brought her here for healing too since this is a chance to save her life since she suffers from losing her beast. I also assume it was her spirit beast and you are barely managing to keep her alive without a beast to bind with and the proper materials?"

Clark had guessed it all right. The boy was pale and fearful. "Take this letter, show it to the Mane family representatives. You will see them in a section with a flaming lion crest. You and your family can get help from them. They know me.

And you should come to my Nova academy. I will have an egg brought to you later. And remember, you aren't the only one that has dealt with corrupted fools."

Clark wrote a quick letter right there on the spot and handed it to the by. he watched as the boy was staring at it and Clark's signature as if he was holding something that might fall to ashes in an instant. "You will pay me back. I expect loyalty."

If anyone were to see this, they would think that Clark was buying someone or that he was just too nice for his own good. However, Clark saw the boy's spirit beast hiding behind his foot.

'Cecaelia- ultra rare

Currently, this cecaelia is extremely weak due to malnutrition. It appears to just be a strangely mutated octopus beast. It is actually a very rare beast that is similar to mermaids or other mer beasts. It has the body of an octopus and the humanoid head and torso of a human as it grows to adulthood.

They have spectacular control over water along with the speed and ability to wield weapons. This is paired with their intelligence and pure water typing to make them a power to be reckoned with in the ocean. They have strong resistances to cold and many other ocean environments.

Many older fishing villages speak about them as legends since they used to appear and hunt humans along the shore for food before suddenly disappearing and becoming myths.

There is a high chance that this Cecaelia can grow and become an adult or even a kraken lord which is known to have the body of a kraken and the body of a giant. This small chance can be enhanced by consuming…'
