Chapter 241: Weak Four
Chapter 241: Weak Four
While Ralph rested, Clark was able to bring a few of the fire related materials. He even managed to find some small lava rocks that could be heated again by the fire crystals. They would be the ideal materials to force a change in Ralph's taming space. It had to be done to make it perfect for the molten boar.
The molten boar would be forced against the cold metal of his taming pace if Ralph was not careful. The reason this would be bad was because it would push his newly evolved partner in to a dormant state where it could not consolidate its power. It would also stunt its growth for a time since it needed the warmth of fire and strength of metal now that it had become a dual elemental type beast.
Furthermore, because it was a unique metal and fire type beast it had a chance to create a third poison typing. This was not an actual typing but a result of the metals melting constantly in the boar's body. It also was a sign of what the boar had to eat to be able to grow. Instead of meats and other foods, the molten boar was now strictly on a diet of metal and fire crystals.
If magma could be found, then it would be perfect for it. Or Ralph could look for a forge and use the waste from it as a food source, but that would be a worse source than purer metals.
"I found them." Doc opened the door to the lab. He had sweat on his brow and a disappointed look. He was clearly unhappy with what he had found.
"I was worried that-" Clark silenced himself. He saw two first years from normal classes and two very skinny and weak looking first years. "He got to two of them already. These are the replacements that the other professors put in place. I assume that even Professor Wright couldn't do anything?" Clark already knew the answer.
He had a feeling that too many were under the payroll of the Mourne family after the events of late.
"After The Spirit family was created, a few more professors seem to have betrayed their loyalty to the academy. It seems that wealth and power is a bigger attractor than I believed." Maria, Isa, and Ella had also frozen seeing the results of what Doc had brought back.
"Then first things first. I am Clark, this is Maria, and Isa. We three are from the Elite class. That is Ralph and his partner. They just broke through surviving the poison of that green forest scorpion. But you two are the replacements that have no power in this tournament.
The other two are clearly underdogs that I did not expect to show themselves within the tournament. Today, we will help you and your beasts grow stronger. That is the only choice."
Devi had hidden away using invisibility. He floated around the four new students but what surprised him as he looked at the sudden glance of the weakest looking girl of the four students. Clark noticed this because the surprise that Devi felt echoed through his bond to him.
It was also surprising that another would see Devi or even be able to sense Devi, let alone someone who had clearly not received enough strength from their beast.
"This is Reese Gold, he is from a small merchant family. He has a unique light affinity beast. It's a beast his family is specialized in taming. The spectral sword beast. The Swordsmanship they created was why they became a higher ranked family as of late but it is still in its infant stages." Doc pushed the average looking boy forward.
"Show Clark your beast. It will help all of us make a beast growth plan for you. And if you argue, you should know that this is something that would cost more than you can imagine." Isa was sure to put pressure when it came to this. She did not just see Reese and his long greasy hair. She looked at all of them.
Reese was clearly someone that trained and focused on that. The fact that his family was young and in the middle of vast growth made him uncaring for his appearance. But his training would pay off. "I would not spit on an opportunity. I just wish I had finished training for the day first." That was the source of his annoyed appearance.
'Spectral sword- uncommon
The spectral sword is a beast known to live in ruins. They have unique eggs that form from the broken words of many warriors. This means that they can be bred in arenas and places of old battles. But they require a core like a golem making them need the blood and bodies of light and metal type beasts to properly form an egg.
It is better if two spectral swords are able to gather the sword pieces because the blood can be taken from them.
They are sometimes known as bleeding swords because they develop a core where they produce their own blood. This is often known as the word heart. They can completely match their tamer's heart making them the perfect extension of the tamer's body. It means that the tamer can better learn swordsmanship over time.
The best growth process for a spectral sword is to harness the natural metal and light typing they possess. This is done by condensing light type energy within a unique metal of the tamer's choosing. This will condense the blade from spectral to physical and magical. It also allows for growth to multiple different forms that depend on the swordsmanship, metal, and tamer's energy.'
"You have a beast that stands out when it comes to growth potential. It will grow differently based on the energy it absorbs, your swordsmanship, and your energy. I recommend you allow yourself to browse our collection of metal. From there, let your hearts decide what metal to take then begin to meditate while your beast absorbs light energy.
That's all." Clark watched as Reese wanted to question but Maria had already grabbed his arm and pushed him toward the collection of ores and metals in the lab.
"This young man is Bradley Geo-"
"Call me Brad and I am from no family worth mentioning. We are merchants that left the south and came here. My beast is a possessed helm. Metal type beasts are rarely used so I used it to stump my opponents who had common beasts. But you already know that and it's why metal type beasts are making a big show lately in arenas." Brad was right to the point and full of fire.
He knew exactly the danger of the stronger families and why he had been brought here. He didn't intend to argue anything.
"Good, right to the point. I have studied the darkness and metal energies that possessed helms need. I will show you a growth plan to help it progress to a half step living armor. After that, you should buy armor. With the connections that Isa offers I can deduce what you will need best." Ella didn't let Clark say a word. She had already processed this situation.
"Don't look at us, Ella is right. Clark couldn't do much else here. She has the experience here." Isa shook her head before walking with Ella to the bookshelf where she had many journals she had made notes in or fully written.
"Clark, that was two of our team. They might be fine but…" Maria was worried about the other two. The weaker boy and girl looked like they had many struggles.
After seeing the confidence of Brad, the skinny boy looked at Clark. "I saw you fight once. I didn't think anyone else would use a spear. I want to be better though. My name is Jerold. I don't have a last name and that is why everything I have is stolen by others.
I got lucky, when a professor saw my beast I was let in to the academy. But I lack the materials to grow. Instead, it has stayed hidden at all times for safety."
'Rainbow chameleon- rare
The rainbow chameleon is exactly what is stated in its name. It is a unique beast that possesses poison and light typing. This beast hides using the light of the sun to blend in to the environment of the forest. It will then use its tongue to shoot out of its mouth and poison others.
Due to the lack of food, materials, and energy, it is currently trapped at the infant stage. Its stunted growth has caused it to develop a full focus on the camouflage skills it possesses. Due to this, it is extremely talented but lacks the proper bodily nutrients to produce poisons.
The best way to help it grow is to fully immerse it in natural herbs that hold poison and light energy. This bath would be able to absorb in to its skin while forcing its body to grow. In relation, the tamer has grown a larger bond than most at this age due to always remaining attached to each other. It means that energy is shared much more efficiently.'
