Chapter 214: Morning Peace

Chapter 214: Morning Peace

The black glimmering ticket turned in Clark's hand before he said a silent prayer that he would get something amazing. The hidden gotcha ticket started to fall in to dust. The entire process was much more in depth than normal, even the system was changing the things that Clark could see on his system display.

Instead of the normal show of just listing the rewards and what they were useful for, there was an entire wheel that appeared. It had many colors and shapes set up on it as it started to click in to a frenzied spinning.

"This is…" Clark's murmurs grew as he sat back up straight to take in the sight fully. "These look like they are rarer than other colors, it must be something good." Clark noticed that the reds were the most common, the greens following that, then the blue, black, and gold being the rarest.

But there was only a single white stripe on the entire wheel that was clearly the hardest to get reward out of everything. "These hidden tickets must be really good." That was all he could think.

'Stopping the wheel!' the system called out in Clark's mind allowing him to see what was happening. The slowing wheel began to click less and less while Clark crossed his fingers for something amazing.

'The user has gained the blue reward, weapons chest, this is a remnant chest from the land of Eden before the spatial collapse. Please open the chest to reveal the weapon that suits your current state of being and elemental affinities due to your bonds with beasts.'

"Wait, it changes based on what state I'm in!?" The system refused to reply as a blue painted chest appeared in front of Clark. It was somewhat visible but also seemed as if it was not truly there. For some reason, Clark knew that the size of the chest could mean nothing, it was all the same as a video game. There could be an elephant in this chest if the system had deemed it to be so.

Then there was the fact that the system had said this was a chest from the land of Eden. And, that the land of Eden had a spatial collapse. These things were pieces of knowledge that he could not fathom. He had never heard of a spatial collapse or anything of the like. It was not a normal phrase for anyone or anything. But here he was with this new knowledge.

"Blue rarity chest opened from the hidden gotcha wheel. Congratulations, the host has gained the black lightning spear! Please check the information below.

Black lightning spear- Ultra rare

The black lightning spear is a masterpiece created by the youngest of the great blacksmith disciples. This is the first masterpiece that combined multiple elemental energies to create a weapon. It is also the first time a weapon capable of absorbing another elemental energy and changing the form of the base elemental energy was created by his blacksmith as well.

The black lightning can be gathered by defeating multiple opponents. When the spear has gained enough death energy it can use that energy to alter the normally yellow lightning. The black lightning can inflict paralyzing effects the same as lightning but also wounds that can not be easily healed.

This spear is ideal for the host's body size, current elemental energies, and also for the short term growth. Please force your energy through the spear to brand it as your own until you have outgrown it, pass it down, or destroy it in battle.'

"This spear is amazing!" the black metal spear would have been overlooked by everyone without a good set of eyes and knowledge in their head. It was seemingly bland until the slight yellow patterns all over it were examined. These yellow patterns were the unique lightning runes that allowed the energy to gather and change within the spear. Overall, it was an astounding weapon to have, let alone use.

"System, how can I get more of those tickets?" Clark had to ask. He had to know what the rarer items would be. The blue color which wasn't even the rarest was an ultra rare weapon. There had to be more. More things above even mythical level.

'The host must discover hidden quests that the system is creating as the host moves through their life. Everything is taken in to account. Friendships, growth, and luck. The system recommends that the host leaves his comfort zone more often to experience these things.'

"I knew it wouldn't be easy, but at least I got a hint." Clark relaxed and fell asleep on that thought. He was content with gaining the little bit of information about getting out of his comfort zone. He had been going with the flow and not trying new things lately. He had not been seeking out unusual experiences to broaden his strength. It might be more than worth it to do such things.

"Seriously? How can one person sleep so hard? It's like trying to move a rock!" Out of all the people to be awake and trying to push Clark out of bed, it was Isa. it appeared that she had gained a lot of energy back after sleeping for a while.

"If you push him you won't get anywhere. He is way ahead of you in muscle training." Maria said this with a sigh before she poked Clark's face and made him stop pretending to sleep.

"I was having fun though."

"And you were slowing us down. We have to return to the academy and pick out our training plans." Maria's tone sounded exactly like a mom's. It made Clark worry that she was going to become the silent judge of the group. It struck him as odd since she had been so shy before gaining confidence in her strength. But it was progress, she would be powerful one day.

"I have already decided that I will progress all my beast's growth plans in this time. Just before the third year battle tournament, I will have beasts at another level. You will all be surprised by the pathways I choose. I am sorry Clark, But I need to follow my own research and can not fully rely on you."

While rubbing the sleep from his eyes, Clark raised an eyebrow in question. "I wouldn't think you wanted to follow my plans exactly. They will work but they might not be what you need in your beasts. Your wisps have been with you for a long time and you have already done a lot of what I asked.

Now you can strengthen the bond with them and progress in a wholly unique way." This just seemed normal for what Calrk expected from Ella.

"Good, now up we go and out to get breakfast! The crepe stall might be swarmed already!" Now they all knew what was driving Isa to move so fast. She had food on the brain.

"You know, I have never had a crepe before."

"Same here, I smelled them but they looked too sweet." Both Clark and Maria were lost, luckily, they had Ella to explain.

"They are a very thin pancake kind of breakfast or dessert item. They can have fruits, savory items, or even ice cream wrapped in them. They are popular as street food because they are easy to eat while walking.

If I recall, the carts that showed up earlier this year have become incredibly popular with those on the way to work for the day." From what Ella told them it seemed that they were in for a pretty good treat.

By the time they all made it outside, they already found Isa standing at the front of the line in front of a larger wooden crepe cart. She had already ordered eight crepes. "I didn't know what anyone would want so I got one savory and one sweet for everyone. There is strawberry kiwi, mango, and blueberry.

Then we have chicken, sausage, bacon, and then a fluffy egg!" her excitement was contagious and the food sharing began.

The wounds that Clark had were nearly healed. He felt that the energy in his body was overwhelming. From what he could tell, it was the connection with Crim that was dong t. The mixed elemental energies were promoting his body to be even stronger and more resilient than before. Therefore, he was self healing much faster. This single fact would put him well above other tamers of or even above his level.

For the moment though, he could have been under the worst of the worst injuries. The sharing of good food and a bright morning was more than he could have wanted. As much as he had hardened his heart, his friends had broken through to take their place there.

With this as the case, he had his new family. He had his partners in battle. He had something new to protect. And he was going to damn well protect it while breaking down those that had crushed others their entire lives.
