Chapter 186: Isa's Mocking

"You should have taken the Cain family offer when you had the chance. They sent many letters and amazing potential suitors for you to join them. The Rolly family has missed a grand opportunity." The opponent that had greeted Isa was a person that had managed to partially join the Cain family.

"Just because you were bought out by one of their little brats to be married does not mean that I would do the same. I care about fair business and growing stronger with those that had actual talent. Worthless garbage like the Cain family lacks both of those things." The direct insult to the family that he idolized made the boy furious.

"Just you wait, now that you have insulted and joined with that exile…ha! You are going to be crushed. Even if you come out on top against my beast you will be crushed." The boy was clearly insulated and angry. But that was what Isa wanted. She wanted him to fall in to an angrier and angrier state so that she could do her best to crush him in front of everyone.

"Just bring out your beast. I know that the little future bride of yours gave you a special relic that imitates a beast taming space. You are not at all competent enough to have a real beast taming space." Isa saw the necklace that was very out of place on the boy's neck.

Clark had arrived just to hear this trash talking. It was a very good chance for him to analyze a piece of equipment that he had not seen but heard of here and there. Such things were rare and were only offered when a family was trying to buy someone with valuable skills. Or, when a person was trying to bargain with other valuable items that could not necessarily be bought with money.

'Taming Necklace- ultra rare

This accessory has a unique spacial sapphire within the cent. It has a small taming space within that can nourish the basic qualities of any beast. It can only hold a singular beast but is considered a massive boon for any young tamer because they are able to hide their beasts easier while allowing them to grow faster.

These necklaces will be the common creation of the highest jewel smiths. This is because they can be sold for more than their weight in gold. They also perfectly show off the high quality that the jewel smith is able to give out. The only downside is the rarity of materials when it comes to spacial sapphires.'

Clark knew that such gems were very rare. Even the largest gem mines may only find a small handful of such a rare gem. However, the gem smith creating these things would definitely make a bog name by selling one. It made Clark wonder if Isa's brother had created any. Luckily, Clark didn't have to wonder for long.

"Hurry up, let that poor excuse of a necklace release your beast. It's definitely shotty work compared to what my older brother can do. He wouldn't even lay eyes on a trash thing like that." The taunt was the last straw. The boy had lost his calmer face and showed the wrinkles of ugly anger.

"Then get ready to rue this day. The Rolly family has more than lost its chance. Feel the pain that comes with facing my toxic toad!" the thud of a large purple toad hitting the ground was enough to attract those watching and even a few people walking by.

'Toxic toad- rare

While this is not the rarest beast, the toxic toad can gain strength based on the materials it consumes. They can create a myriad of poisons and venoms through their skin and small teeth as they grow. This means that an expert would have great difficulty curing the poison from them because it could be a complex mix of multiple poisons.

Furthermore, the toad is very agile when it comes to jumping. It also has a sticky tongue similar to a frog that assists it to capture its prey. Most people would be caught off guard when they are ambushed in the great swamp lands by this predator. The best materials…'

"Hmm, so Isa is going to be facing a pure poison type beast that tries to kill literally everything. It's also grown much more than it would normally be because of that taming necklace." Clark was mumbling out loud and did not realize that Maria was listening carefully.

"It doesn't matter to her though. Isa has to avoid it but her beasts will be fine. A flame sprite is made up of fire, the ice maiden of ice, and the crystal golem of crystals. They can't be poisoned. All Isa has to do is dodge." The way that Maria saw it, Isa had a massive advantage that her angered opponent did not consider in the least.

"That's a good point. As long as it doesn't use any poison spitting attacks then Isa is fine. What I am more excited to see is what the crystal golem does. It has some very unique skills that can block physical attacks with temporary crystal earth walls. I am unsure how the skills actually work but they are listed under it. It can't fuse with her yet but it is not useless at that small size."

The crystal golem that was much smaller than Isa at the moment was not weak. Clark and anyone with a discerning eye could tell that it had a secret power to it. The connection with the earth was much stronger while the light filtered through it endlessly. The fact that the first it stepped on seemed to pull toward it as if wanting to be part of it was impressive enough.

"The toxic toad is going to be beaten, badly," Maria whispered as she realized what Clark was thinking. She did not know the skills that the crystal golem had, however, she knew that it possess a deadly potential.

"Battle!" The call from the referee made Isa move. The ice maiden and flame spirit had fused with her while the crystal golem moved ahead of her. This was her basic preparation for any battle.

"Weak!" The boy threw a small spear at Isa. Unlike Cark, the boy only seemed to have throwing weapons and jo skill with the spears in his hands. The fear that the boy had was in close combat. Hence why he had a deadly close combat beast such as the toxic toad. It was not his spirit beast but who was the wiser? As long as he had a unique and powerful beat he was a member of a powerful family.

That was all he cared about.

The toxic toad prepared to leap while Isa dodged the thrown spear. She responded by waving a hand and sending many small ice needles at the toad. Naturally, the toxic toad was able to resist them due to its tougher skin covered in poison filled pustules.

"Weak weak weak!" The boy was laughing as his toxic toad leaped at Isa. she was able to roll away while her crystal golem faced it head on. In a moment of foolishness, the toad ignored the crystal golem. That was not the right choice.

The crystal golem shoved its arms in to the ground. The slight rumble was the only sign that crystals were about to pop out of the ground. A shining crystal shield appeared before the toad that refracted the light around the arena.

"That is the light crystal shield skill. It makes crystals that attract light elemental energies. That is one of the only skills the crystal golem has but it is hard to beat. It is a tough defense and the light that travels through it hurts a beast's eyes." Clark was proud to see Isa letting the golem use its skill. It was a perfect chance to attack.

"Now feel what a real burning pain is." Isa knew that the poisons that the toxic toad had could make anyone feel pain. Feel bringing and suffering. She returned the favor to anyone that would ever be affected by such a beast.

Flames jumped around the toxic toad along with the entire arena. That was enough that the spectators started to sweat. Isa was calm as ice had formed around her to keep her safe. The crystal golem was very resistant to the flames and didn't budge. On the other hand, the toxic toad was suffering.

The water in its poisons was evaporating causing the toad to struggle to move properly. It was also struggling to understand why it was unable to breathe as well. The boy that had been targeting Isa a moment ago was also coughing and gasping for cool air. So much so that the referee rushed in to end the match.

With a burst of wind, a feather hawk extinguished the flames and gave room for the healers to rush in. They were already hard at work.

"Listen well, if the Cain family or the Mourne family ever attempt to tough my friends and business partner… Isa Rolly will be their end." Not only did Isa win, but she delivered a painful message.
