Spirit Taming

Chapter 101: Poor Analysis

Chapter 101: Poor Analysis

'Giant rat- common

The giant rat is a very common pest. The beast is considered worthless to most. However, there was a notable beast tamer that controlled over one thousand of them by taming a giant rat lord. This led to them being seen as a must exterminate beast species unless trained in smaller groups. They often carry dangerous illnesses unless trained carefully. They are…'

When using the analysis, Clark had not realized that he might get special bits of information about the beasts and how they had been tamed before. He thought that the system just gave him unique information based on the beast he was looking at. Yet, he now knew that the system took the world in to account as well.

"So I can learn even more than the basics…" Clark was happy with this. It made him thoroughly check more of the eggs than before.

'Rabid ferret- uncommon

The rabbit ferret is a beast born in complete chaos. They are vicious and will take on beasts triple their size. They have very fast movements that confuse their enemies. They carry a unique symbiotic rabies virus that is hard to cure. It will result in madness for a long period of time in most beasts. They are incredibly hard to tame and often used as a beast that can disrupt organized armies.

They are hard to come by because of their nature…'

"Another strange beast. It's not rare but it can cause a lot of problems!" Clark continued on after seeing this. He was learning a lot while expanding his knowledge about beasts. He hadn't considered that some beasts were used as throw away beasts in war for such purposes.

'Soul jay- rare

The soul jay is a mutated spiritual type beast from the frost blue jay. The avian beast is nearly impossible to hit since its body is made up of mostly condensed water. The spiritual energy it gathers allows it to manipulate the water of its body to create confusing issues. They will eat mostly small bugs and absorb their soul energy to gain a higher spiritual understanding.

These beasts are known to attack ships while in rivers.'

The more that Clark learned about beasts that used illusions, the more interested he was. The illusions that some beasts seemed to create would be detrimental to most people. Since Clark had Devi, he was convinced that he would be able to resist most of the illusions used against him.

It wasn't that Devi was a pure spiritual beast, but Devi did gain energy through the consumption of souls. It made him uniquely resistant to illusions in a way that most beasts wouldn't be. It also made Clark more resistant to illusions.

"Unhand that egg! I called dibs on it!" Clark heard another commotion while he reached the end of the eggs to check with his analysis. The two girls fighting over a pure white egg was too clear. One was using their seniority to force the freshman to allow them to purchase the egg.

The first year that was losing the fight was not looking well. She had grown paler and paler as the senior girl forced her to let go of the egg.

'Snow imp- rare

The snow imp is a rare beast that does best in colder climates. They are known for creating small snow squalls in isolated areas to slowly wear away at their prey. They are known for attacking in groups of five or six to protect each other. They have frail bodies but can perfectly hide within the snow. They are often confused with the furry fox due to the fact that the eggs are nearly identical.'

"I have much more right to this snow fox egg than you do. Get stronger and learn a lesson!" The senior girl tore the eggs from the first year and walked away to pay for it. The first year girl was crushed. She was standing there about to fall in to a mess of tears. The other students just walked away without paying attention. The results were unavoidable.

The strong would take what they could get.

"You just dodged a harsh attack. That is a snow imp egg. Not a flurry fox." Clark casually walked next to the girl whose face became confused and then stunned. She hadn't even considered that an analysis could be false. Such things would be a massive failing grade for any student in the breeding classes.

"How did you know?" She immediately questioned it. She recognized Clark from the arena. She had seen the fight because the basic first years were brought to see the elite class show their strengths. The elite class was a goal that every single average student desired to have.

"The small knot at the top of the egg. An imp egg has those of any type because they started to develop horns in the egg. It's hard to spot but when she took it from you I was sure. The flurry fox egg should be that one there. It looks like it's labeled as a snow imp egg. They mixed them up." Clark had analyzed the eggs left and walked away.

He didn't even think twice about helping the girl. He hated the senior girl abusing status.

If Clark had stayed any longer he would have seen the girl rush to buy the egg. She had saved the last of her gold to purchase a beast. Like many, she had lost her beast when she was targeted by others in class. It was a tough reality that could make or break beast taming for the students. Instead of leaving the academy, the girl had tried her best to remain. This was her last chance.

When the girl laid her hands on the egg she immediately pulled out items to contract the beast right then and there. It was not unusual for someone to do so in case they lost the egg or harmed it. The icy chill that came around the egg was proof that she had been told right. Just as the bond solidified, the egg cracked open revealing a curled up pure white fox with three tails.

The students around looked in awe at one of the most adorable beasts they had ever seen.

It was also a super rare beast that not many could get in this area. Therefore, the girl now had a solid path to joining the elite class within a month. The strength of a flurry fox would eventually grow in to the snow demon fox. With the right materials, the snow demon fox could be a major defender of this city.

"Clark, are you done looking at the eggs? Anything you saw that was worth getting?" Maria didn't think that Calrk would be after another beast. She knew that he valued the two he had over anything.

"Just a few people being dramatic. I pointed out an egg to someone who thought it was something else. I bet the person that analyzed it will get in a lot of trouble." Clark laughed a little.

"That's nice! You should help us study beasts since we are all going to that class tomorrow!" Isa had more than hit it off with Maria. They shared a lot of personal desires to grow stronger. Their will had solidified a blossoming friendship.
