The families had left, leaving Cloud and his group alone with Rika's family of this world, who were silent.
"I think this is a good time for you to speak," Eric said as he folded his arms.
"First, I want to apologise for not being able to save Rika" - said Cloud as he let out a sigh - "I'm sorry".
"No need" - said Mito as she let out a sigh - "It wasn't your fault that our daughter died".
Eric simply kept silent because even though he wanted to yell at the blond boy, he was aware that it wasn't his fault for his daughter's tragic end.
"Look, I know I can't do much more, but I can contact Rika so she can tell you something before I start my journey" Cloud said as he shook his head.
"Start your journey?" - Rika's parents repeated in surprise, though their expressions changed to one of confusion when they heard that the blond could contact their dead daughter.
"Yes, I plan to go travel the world now that I can," Cloud replied as he looked at his group, "That's why I came to talk to you, so I can communicate Rika's last words to you."
The Minami couple looked at each other before letting out a sigh and nodding. They more or less understood the reason for the boy's early disappearance, possibly to save himself all the trouble the world was going to throw at him.
'Ok, I'm going to talk to Rika, so ask all your questions,' Cloud said calmly as he used his ability to be able to talk to the purple-haired woman with tanned skin.

Cloud let out a sigh as he saw the time was up - 'Ok, let's take a break on that island, we have something important to talk about.'
Tio stopped her flight and started heading towards the island the young blond had pointed out, only to land and take her human form.
The girls looked at Cloud in surprise, for his expression had changed in just a few seconds.
'What do you want to talk about?' - Yue asked with a frown.
'It's time for me to reveal the whole truth,' said Cloud as he let out a sigh, 'First, I want you to listen to me completely, after I'm done you can ask your questions.'
The girls frowned, though they quickly nodded.
Cloud took a long sigh because no matter how many times he repeated this, he always ended up on edge because his recruits were 'human', and could change their minds in a matter of seconds.
The young blond quickly began to brief them about the situation in general, about his world, about [Source], about the recruits, their abilities, benefits, about him on a more personal level, and finally about his real world, as well as the identity of Rika and her parents.
The girls were puzzled by all this news that didn't seem to make sense, but Cloud's expression showed that he wasn't lying.
'I see... this explains a few things...' - Tio said as she frowned slightly - 'I mean, it was obvious that your soul was not of this world.'
'Not to mention that your magical control was too good to be just because you had the soul of a dragon' - added Yue as she shook her head - 'I guess you told us all this because you want to recruit us?'
'Exactly' - Cloud replied honestly - 'Although we can leave that for later, I'm going to answer all your questions now'
'You stayed away from all of us because you were from another world?' - Kaori asked as she raised an eyebrow and reminisced about the past.
'Exactly, my intention was to stay out of the way and wait for the "plot" to develop to the point where I could move on my own, but you guys were extremely stubborn...' - Cloud said as he glanced at the two girls who simply looked away.
"Are we the heroines of this story?" - Shizuku asked as she decided to change the subject.
'Some of you' - Cloud replied as he nodded, after all, now that the plot was over and he was in the recruitment stage, he had recovered all his memories about the plot - 'As for my presence, I supplanted the original protagonist of this story...'
'Who was this... protagonist?' - Yue asked with mild interest.

'Makes sense, a pity really' - said Meiru as she shrugged - "Well, it's not like it changes the fact that we're alive.... Right, Lyu-chan?"
'True' - Lyutillis nodded as she caressed Luna's cheek.
'I still can't believe that Hajime-san is the main character of this story with how shy he is' - said Kaori while tilting her head - 'Although if what you mentioned is true, then it means that in the original story, Hajime-san has to have gone through a similar situation as you, which means that he...'
'He lost an arm and an eye in the abyss, felt despair at his lowest point and met Yue, there the two of them escaped while leaning on each other... by the way, it's a huge coincidence that you have the same name as the original version, or maybe it's possible that he unconsciously remembered it' - Cloud said while shaking his head.

"Other elves? Interesting," muttered Lyutillis with excitement, though her expression changed slightly when she heard about the dark elves. Honestly, it was the first time she had heard about this race, but deep down she felt a slight hostility towards these creatures.
It was strange, but the hostility between the two races was instinctive.
"So can we switch races?" - Shizuku asked in surprise.
"Only humans" - answered Cloud as he started to think - "The other races is impossible, unless it's a natural evolution, like for example the one Remia is currently having."
"Oh, I see" - nodded Shizuku as she started to think. This was good, because with this she could grow as a warrior and finally become a monster like the rest of her group.
"I think it's pretty obvious that we all agreed to follow you, so I guess we can leave to see the rest whenever you want, Cloud," Yue said as she folded her arms and the others nodded at her words.
Cloud smiled slightly before watching as a portal appeared in front of them.
