Chapter 666: Sea Beast Riders

Once we secured enough Battle Horses to stop for now, Fluna came by as if waiting for that moment.「Eh? Want to be a Beast Rider? You, Fluna?」

「Yes!」

「But you guys swim fast enough by yourselves, don’t you?」

「Is it not okay?」

With pleading, upturned eyes, I lost my chance to say no.

Going by ship, it would still take several days on the Oceanius, but we can teleport there in an instant, so distance was a not an issue. I’ve already gone there once when we rescued Fluna and the mermaids.

At first it was the large shark-like monsters that approached the mermaids like they were bait.

The mermaids disappeared from this area. As it’s been a while since the last time it feasted on one, the monster didn’t hesitate to attack when he saw a group of five mermaids.

A single strike…… with a single strike from Fluna’s trident, she brought down the 8 meter long shark-like monster.

The blood of the slain shark flowed into the sea, and its scent attracted other monsters.

Fluna and the others were lying in wait with huge smiles on their faces.

I took some wood out from my Item Box and fashioned myself a boat and went around collecting the monsters they defeated.

What made a large splash as it emerged from the water was Sea Serpent.

Seeing this, Fluna gave everyone orders.

「Kill it in a swift attack! Disperse!」

The Mermangers dispersed to avoid the incoming opened jaws of the Sea Serpent, then instantly pivoted and attacked simultaneously with their tridents.

The coordinated, omnidirectional attack aimed at the neck had cut the Sea Serpent’s large head.

「Sea Serpents are no problem anymore, huh.」

The Sea Serpent, which had been their graduation test before, was now no different from a small fish to them.

Once I retrieved the Sea Serpent, I felt several presences approaching at high speeds.

Fluna yelled happily as I was being cautious.

Emerging from the depths was a slim plesiosaur-like monster with four small antlers horns.

Fluna and the others were happy to be reunited with the plesiosaur.

I could tell that the plesiosaur was just as happy to see them again. It seems highly intelligent.

The name of the plesiosaur-like monster was Sea Dragon.

Smaller than a Sea Serpent, an adult Sea Dragon reaches only 8 meters overall, but in terms of monster ranks, it rose to that of a Sea Dragon.

Am I the only one who think it looks more charming than the face of a Sea Serpent?

The four antler tips were apparently its children.

Before I could even speak, the Sea Dragon family was safely tamed to Fluna and the Mermangers, and we teleported back to the Sanctuary.
