Chapter 598: Heroes’ Afterparty (Part 3)

"Mm...this couch is so soft and comfy, it’s nice-...oh, sorry," Remarked Jaden, accidentally smacking Cleo as he stretched his arms out across the backrest of the couch.

"Huh? What?" Responded Cleo with a confused tilt of her head.

Did she not even notice? I mean, it wasn’t like a full-on slap, but it definitely looked like his hand connected with her cheek with a decent bit of force.

It’d been about a couple of hours since they came over, we’d played a few more games while continuing to indulge without restraint, and most of us were pretty wasted at this point.

I’ve been keeping myself from getting too drunk and high with my regeneratation, Aria’s been doing the same.

Cleo doesn’t seem to have bothered with that, and the other two appear to be suppressing their natural healing too.

"Mm, thish ish nishe. It’sh not fair that you habe am umliminted shupply," Ciel sighed wistfully, slurring heavily as she let out a hiccup.

"I mean, if you guysh wanna get fucked upped, jush hit me up and I’ll hook you up," I replied with a thumbs up.

Hm, maybe I’m a bit more inebriated than I thought...

"Eashier shaid tham done...I don’t live here," Responded Jaden despondently.

"But you’re, like, shuper ricsh, right? Sho, you don’t really need a umlinted shuprise. Huh? Wait...wha’ did I jusht shay?" Frowned Cleo in bemusement.

"You said unlimited surprise...well, sort of. Think you were going for unlimited supply," I replied with a wry smile, as I sobered myself up a bit more, just enough so that I wasn’t slurring anymore.

Yeah, this is a nice buzz without being too overwhelming, think I’ll try to maintain this level of intoxication.

"Hey, let’sh play another game," Suggested Ciel, sitting up slightly.

"I don’t know if that’sh shuch a good idea...I don’t thimk I camn focush too well right now," Responded Jaden sheepishly.

"Hm, im that cashe...let’sh play shomethimng eashy. Like, truth or dare, or neber habe I eber," Replied Aria, pausing before a moment before repeating herself more coherently, "Never have I eber. Ever."

Looks like she sobered herself up a bit too.

"Hmm...I jusht wanna relaxsh, sho doing daresh might be a pain. Sho, let’sh play neber hab-...neber-...the schecond one," Remarked Ciel, after mulling it over.

"Wait, how about two truths, one lie instead? Oh, actually, to make it easier, let’s do one truth, one lie. We each take turns making two statements, and everyone else has to guess which is which. If they guess correctly, they get a point.

As for the person making the statements...if no one guesses correctly, meaning they successfully tricked everyone, they get three points. If one out of four people guess correctly, they get two points. If two out of four get it, they get one point.

If three of the others guess correctly, they get no points. And if all four guess correctly, the person making the statements loses one point," Chimed in Cleo, before picking up a joint and lighting it up, taking a deep puff.

She was looking super wasted, she must have tried to sober up with her regeneration, but overdid it and sobered pretty much completely.

"Uh...what?" Responded Jaden, a confused look on his face.

Ciel looked like she didn’t really follow it either.

"I’ll take care of the points, so you guys can just focus on the game. Just make two statements, one true and one false. And the rest of us will guess which one’s the lie," I summed it up, keeping it simple.

"Ohh, okay, I thimk I get it," Nodded Jaden, sitting up with a smile.

"Uh...guesh I’ll try to fimgure it out ash we play," Added Ciel, still looking a bit confused.

"Alright, I’ll start. Hm...okay, here are my two statements. I have a birthmark on my back in the shape of a crescent. And I hate olives. Oh, Aria, this is basically a free point for you, so you should answer last."

"M’kay."

"Hm...you don’t sheem like a picky eater, sho-...ohh, you can’t shee your owm back! Sho, that’sh the lie, the birthmarch!" Declared Jaden confidently.

"Nishe, that’sh a good point. I’m going with the shame," Nodded Ciel in agreement.

"Uhh...yeah, same," Added Cleo uncertainly.

"Aria?" I prompted her with a wry smile.

"Sorry, guys, but you’re all wrong. He’s absolutely repulsed by olives, and he does have a little crescent-shaped birthmark on his back," She grinned, leaning back as she took a swig of beer, scrunching up her face a bit before reaching for a box of chocolates we’d opened up.

"Okay, so...since I tricked three of you, I get two points. And Aria gets one. Hm, how about...whoever gets to ten points first wins?"

"Shounds good to meme," Nodded Jaden, looking a bit more lucid.

He must have stopped suppressing his natural healing for a bit. He’s still pretty fucked up though.

"My turn now...alright, got it. When I was born, my hair was lighter in color. And...when I was born, my hair was darker in color," Aria stated smugly.

Huh, she’s never mentioned that before, so even I don’t know which is the truth.

"Hm...okay, I know that some people born with blonde hair end up getting brown hair when they’re older, so...I’m going to say lighter. Wait, no...maybe that’s what you want me to think! In which case...I’ll go with darker," I decided, not feeling particularly certain about my guess.

"I wash thimking the shame thing, about how blomde hair can turn browm, sho I’m going to shay lighter," Remarked Jaden, after a brief pause.

"Hm...okay, no longic, jusht a guesh, I shay lighter," Added Ciel.

"I’m jusht gueshing too, and I think it’ll be more intereshting if we go fifty-fifty, sho I’ll shay darker," Spoke up Cleo.

She’s slurring again already? That was fast.

"So, either way, I get a point. And as for which two of you guys also get a point...it’s Kai and Cleo! I had super dark red, almost maroon, hair when I was born, it lightened to my current shade of red by the time I was around five," Explained Aria, leaning back as she took a puff of a joint, blowing it out in rings.
