Chapter 719: Return to the Fu Family

Fu Shihan: "If you’re so scared, why do you still agree to return?"

Sitting up straight and proper, just like a primary school student, really adorable.

"Some people, you just have to see them eventually," Su Wanxin replied softly. "You can hide for a while, but not for a lifetime."

Fu Shihan raised his eyebrows and smiled, then asked, "Do you know what it means to return home today?"

"I don’t know."

"I’ll tell you the answer tonight."

He spoke halfway, mysteriously, making Su Wanxin curious. However, her nervousness soon overcame her curiosity.

It was only a matter of dozens of minutes, but Su Wanxin never felt time fly by so quickly.

The car entered Binhai Road and arrived at the Fu Residence.

As the gate opened slowly, Su Wanxin took a deep breath, so nervous she could hardly contain herself.

She stared unblinkingly out of the window, a sense of familiarity overwhelming her. She bit her teeth hard, holding back her emotions, her clenched hands so tense that her nails were digging into her flesh, yet she was completely unaware.

At the doorstep, Yangyang had been waiting for a long time.

He was wearing thick clothes and a hat, sitting on a little stool, anxiously awaiting their arrival.

As soon as he heard the sound of the car driving up, he immediately jumped up and ran after the car.

As the car door opened, once Su Wanxin got out, she was immediately hugged by him.

"Mommy! Hug!" Yangyang was so anxious he was jumping. "I want a hug!"

Su Wanxin bent down to fulfill his wish and picked him up. Yangyang hugged her neck and kissed her twice, only then did he seem content.

"Mommy, there’s lots and lots of yummy food today, we should eat more!"

"Have you been starved at home these few days?" Fu Shihan came over, took him into his arms, and scoffed, "Little flatterer."

"Humph!"

"What animal likes to humph?"

"Little pig!"

"Smart." Successfully tricking his son, Fu Shihan was very happy.

When Yangyang heard this, he immediately wanted to protest, but managed to hold back just in time, instead looking at his mother, silently expressing his dissatisfaction and seeking help.

Under normal circumstances, Su Wanxin would have stood up for him since she sometimes liked to hum herself.

But at the moment they were in the Fu Family home, she couldn’t even take care of herself...

With mixed feelings, Su Wanxin followed Fu Shihan into the house, closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and walked into the room.

The living room was quiet, no one around.

Fu Shiyi heard the noise upstairs, ran down quickly, dressed in home clothing, not looking at all like she was expecting guests.

She was thrilled to see Su Wanxin and rushed towards her.

Fu Shiyi pulled her to sit on the sofa, Su Wanxin looked around cautiously but still felt...

So familiar.

This feeling of familiarity made her feel uncomfortable, and she was reminded of just over a year ago when she woke up from a coma in Empire, filled with unfamiliarity and unease.

Even though that was her home, and here... was not where she should be.

Su Wanxin turned her head, and upon seeing Fu Yansheng at the top of the stairs, she thought so.

She met Fu Yansheng’s gaze, her heart suddenly sank, and she hastily turned her head away, daring not to look a second time.

Fu Shihan followed her gaze and frowned. "Grandpa, I have something to say to you."

He took Fu Yansheng upstairs again, and upon seeing this, Su Wanxin slowly exhaled a sigh of relief.

Fu Shiyi sensed her nervousness and reassured her softly, "It’s okay, don’t be afraid. Grandpa is just a paper tiger, and my brother specializes in dealing with paper tigers!"

"Where are the other members of your household?" Su Wanxin asked, concerned: "Auntie should be at home, right?"
