Chapter 712: Is She Going to Give Fu Shihan a Green Hat?

"I didn’t change the subject." Lu Ci chuckled lightly, stepping forward and leaning in. "I just didn’t want to talk about that with you, but if you really want to talk, give me a kiss."

"If we weren’t at your company, and I wasn’t afraid you’d silence me, I’d really like to slap you across the face."

"I knew you couldn’t bear to." Lu Ci stood straight and glanced at the time. "Sit for a while longer. I’ll call you when I’m done."

Wanxin received a message from Lu Ci in the morning, asking her if she was free to have lunch together.

Curious about what he wanted, she agreed. But to her surprise, at eleven in the morning, he came with Su Wan.

Wanxin watched them enter her office one after the other, her brow furrowed in confusion.

What did this mean?

Were they coming to make an official announcement to her?

Her eyes followed them gloomily, sweeping back and forth between them. Then she asked hesitantly.

"Do I need to start calling you brother-in-law now?"

Su Wan and Lu Ci responded differently to her question—one with a crazed glare, the other with a satisfied nod.

Lu Ci: "If you want to call me that, it’s not impossible."

"Then, brother-in-law, what are you planning to treat me to for lunch?"

The two bantered back and forth, much to the frustration of Su Wan who fell silent. Wanxin knew when to quit while she was ahead. Once she finished her tasks, she followed them out to find a nearby restaurant.

Lu Ci came to see her to discuss some actual work. After discussing the potential for collaboration, they reached an agreement.

After the business talk, Lu Ci started to gossip informally. "Did you go to the temple fair with Fu Shihan last night?"

"How did you know?"

"Heard it from him. Was it fun?"

"It was okay, just too crowded and noisy."

Lu Ci nodded thoughtfully and then asked, "When do you two plan to go public with your relationship?"

He and Su Wan were the kind to act first and announce later; they had started using the title of a couple without any actual relationship.

Looking at her and Fu Shihan, they seemed more patient, with a child that big and yet not a hint of news had leaked.

"Have you still not tired of this secret romance after all these years?"

"Let’s talk about that later, I haven’t thought about it for now." Wanxin replied dismissively with a smile. "Fu Shihan isn’t in a rush either."

He’s not in a rush?

Lu Ci wondered if the girl had some misunderstanding about Fu Shihan.

Wanxin wanted to say more, but her phone rang. She looked down, pulled it out, and tensed slightly.

It was from Mu Xinghan.

She looked up at the two people beside her, stood up, and said, "I’m going to take a call," before moving to a spot not too far away, conversing softly on the phone.

Seeing her reaction, Lu Ci and Su Wan exchanged glances in unison.

She had to step away to take a call in front of them? Who could be calling?

Not only did Lu Ci wonder, but Su Wan was also curious. She stood up and walked over to Wanxin, leaning in close to the phone and gasped when she heard the conversation.

Wanxin saw her shocked expression and pushed her away laughing. "Stop it, I’ll be back in a bit."

"Wanwan you...!"

Su Wan opened her mouth in complex emotions.

Was she about to give Fu Shihan a cuckold?

Had their argument escalated to the point of breaking up?

"I’ve been too busy lately; don’t look for me for now, we’ll talk later." Wanxin gently rebuffed Mu Xinghan and then hung up.

Su Wan glanced back at Lu Ci guiltily and then whispered to her, "Who was that? Asking you out for dinner?!"
