Shattered by Fate, Restored by Truth

Chapter 667: A Demand for an Accurate Answer

Chapter 667: A Demand for an Accurate Answer

I can’t remember anything from before.

Su Wanxin couldn’t figure out why this was happening. It was bad enough that she couldn’t remember, but what was going on with him?

She lowered her eyelids, pondering the words Mu Xinghan had said to her. He claimed that he was her lifesaver; that alone made her desperate to know what had transpired.

Su Wanxin bent down to grab her phone. There was a number in her contacts that had been saved for a long time, but she had never dialed it. The name associated with the number was Mu Suyu.

Su Wanxin took a breath of relief, tapped to call, but ended up being redirected to voicemail because the other party’s phone was switched off.

Su Wanxin hung up the phone and chose to text Mu Suyu, informing her that she was back and needed to talk, asking her to call back whenever she saw the message; any time would do.

Fu Shihan saw what she was doing and waited until she threw her phone aside again before asking, "Are you still angry now?"

That out-of-the-blue question made Su Wanxin freeze for a moment before she realized what he meant and glared at him without a word.

Fu Shihan turned on the TV and absently held her as they watched. What he really wondered about was whether the soundproofing of this hotel was adequate.

It was his first time staying here. He never had the mood or time to come to vacation resorts and hot springs hotels like this.

Next door was Su Yao’s room, which was why Fu Shihan was a bit worried. If they made too much noise and it was overheard, things could become somewhat tricky.

Resting in his embrace, Su Wanxin watched TV attentively. The feelings of suffocation in her heart had dissipated, and her mood had improved.

Fu Shihan glanced down at her and suggested, "There’s not much fun here. How about we go home?"

"What’s so fun about going home?" Su Wanxin rejected without a second thought. "Here we can ski and enjoy the hot springs. Besides, Yaoyao and the others haven’t left, so why should we?"

She had no intention of leaving at all, which made Fu Shihan frown slightly.

Right now, he wanted to do something; to stir something up. Who came to a hotel to just chat under the quilt?

His fingers twirled her long hair nonchalantly as he played with it. Fu Shihan paused for a moment before responding in a low voice, "Maybe if we go back, there’ll be more fun things to do."

Su Wanxin’s attention was all on the movie, and she didn’t spare any thought to dissect the implications of his words, so she asked without thinking, "What fun things? How come I don’t know about them?"

"Me," Fu Shihan said confidently, "Playing with me when we get back would be way more interesting than staying here."

The air suddenly went quiet as Su Wanxin snapped back to reality and grasped his meaning.

His provocative words always caught her off guard. Su Wanxin felt that after spending a long time with someone like him, her skin had probably thickened considerably.

Seeing her silence, Fu Shihan asked with a teasing smile, "Go home?"

"No!"

"I’m afraid if we stay here you’re going to scream and..."

"Shut up!" Su Wanxin retorted as she grabbed a pillow and hurled it at him: "Don’t talk anymore!"

Fu Shihan caught the pillow, his lips tightly drawn, looking a bit unhappy from being hit.

Why couldn’t he speak? Did she forget what she had promised him?

He was a normal man – he had even brought condoms here in preparation, and now they could only lie in bed and watch TV. Who could stand that?

When a person gets angry, they tend to have a bit of a temper.

Fu Shihan watched her quietly, then spoke softly, "I won’t talk. Do you want me to do it? It’s either here or home, I need a definite answer now."
