Chapter 644: Qi Ran: You dare to set conditions when giving a gift, boy?

Fu Shihan nodded, his expression as if to say that he knew what was going on, even if Su Yao wouldn’t tell him, giving her a headache.

She wanted to say something more, but then she thought, why should she help him?! So, with a darkened face, she kicked Fu Shihan out of the office and waited to see him get scolded by Qi Ran.

Qi Ran didn’t return for over three hours. As she opened the door and saw Fu Shihan, her eyebrows furrowed, "Why are you here again?"

Fu Shihan: "...This time, it really was Su Yao who sent me over."

Qi Ran hurried to her desk to sort through files, then made a phone call to discuss case details, too busy to pay him any attention. After about fifteen minutes, she finally glanced at him again and asked, "Does Wanwan know you came here?"

Fu Shihan quickly thought about it and answered, "She doesn’t."

"What are you doing here then."

Qi Ran scoffed, this cheeky kid always full of schemes; she really wanted to hear what he would come up with today.

Fu Shihan walked over and sat down in front of her, passing her the document in his hand.

Qi Ran raised an eyebrow, took it, glanced briefly, then her gaze sharpened, and she looked at him again.

"I mentioned something last time, I’ve had someone draw up a contract, and I’ve signed it."

He had said before that he truly wanted to be with Su Wanxin and was willing to bet everything he owned.

The document now in Qi Ran’s hands were the transfer papers for his shares and assets; his sincerity was palpable, and he did not come empty-handed.

Qi Ran was a lawyer and could naturally tell that this document was not fabricated as a joke. She just didn’t expect him to follow through so quickly and take such swift action.

Qi Ran pondered for a moment, smiled, and pushed the document back towards him.

This was something she could not accept; if she did, the complications would be significant.

Seeing her reaction, Fu Shihan wasn’t surprised. He didn’t say anything and quickly took out something else and handed it over to Qi Ran.

Qi Ran opened it, puzzled, then looked up at him, "What do you mean by this?"

"One gift for her, this one for you."

A jade necklace, lush and green—just by its luster, one could tell it was pricey.

Qi Ran liked such items and was thus even more aware of how difficult it was to make a top-quality bead necklace out of jade.

The raw material not only required uniform water content but for the overall color to be even, it was necessary for it to come from the same piece of raw stone.

If she wasn’t mistaken, this necklace was a collectible that had fetched a very high price at an auction the year before last; she just didn’t expect it to end up in his hands.

"Aunt Qi," Fu Shihan rested his chin in his hand, none of the airs of the CEO of Fu Group about him. He looked at Qi Ran and leisurely said: "I made a special trip here; you should at least accept one thing, right?"

"No work, no pay; this gift is too grand, I don’t want it."

"It’s not about you taking it for free."

"Are you trying to make a deal with me, kid?"

"It’s not exactly a deal, but I hope that even if you don’t approve of me and Wanwan, at least give me a chance to show what I can do."

His request was not high; as long as they didn’t block Su Wanxin from seeing him, that would be enough. As long as he had the chance, he could win.

Qi Ran seemed thoughtful as she locked eyes with him, about to say something when her phone rang. She glanced down; it was a call from Su Wanxin.

She picked it up and heard Su Wanxin asking when she would be back home.

She wasn’t sure if her silly daughter really wanted to know that or was trying to find out if she had seen Fu Shihan.

Fu Shihan had just said that Su Wanxin didn’t know he was here; Qi Ran didn’t believe that for a second.
