Chapter 605: How greedy, still thinking of becoming the Fu Family’s daughter-in-law!?

She turned her head to look at the night view downstairs and shook her head: "I could search. But it’s a bit late; I’m tired and want to sleep."

Her cold estrangement caused Fu Shihan to furrow his brows.

"Wanwan." He softly called her name and asked, "Don’t you miss me?"

Su Wanxin: "..."

"If I didn’t call you, when were you planning to find me? During the New Year? To send a New Year’s greeting message?"

"There’s nothing in particular, and the time isn’t right, I didn’t want to disturb your work."

"In your eyes, is work more important to me than you?" Fu Shihan sighed, "What’s really going on with you, tell me."

"I’m fine."

"Su Wanxin."

His tone turned stern as he called her full name, Su Wanxin slightly trembled and turned to face him. After a silence, she asked, "Do you still remember what we said when we first got together?"

Fu Shihan was slightly stunned, then she added, "Do your family... like me?"

Su Wanxin intently looked at his expression, and within a few seconds, she got her answer.

"Like? How could they not?" Fu Shihan stubbornly replied, "Wait till you come back, I’ll take you home."

"You’re lying to me." Su Wanxin smiled weakly, "Fu Shihan, should we end things now before we’re in too deep...forget it."

Fu Shihan’s breath hitched, realizing the implication of her words.

He was so angered he couldn’t speak and abruptly ended the call, feeling he shouldn’t have foolishly contacted her.

He threw his phone aside, Fu Shihan stared at the documents but after a few minutes, he couldn’t absorb a single word.

She really had the ability to drive him insane within minutes.

Fu Shihan closed the document folder, stood up, left the office, and drove back to the old house.

Fu Yansheng was spending the New Year here, so he had stayed after arriving. When Fu Shihan got home, he was practicing calligraphy in the study.

It was still early for work to end, so Fu Shihan showing up at home at this time was clearly unusual. Besides, with his stern face, Fu Yansheng could tell right off that he was here to provoke a quarrel.

"Let’s talk." Fu Shihan closed the door and said to Fu Yansheng.

"What’s there to talk about between us?" Fu Yansheng glanced at him then continued writing.

"Let’s talk about Su Wanxin." Fu Shihan loosened his tie and leaned back on the sofa watching him.

"No talking."

"Or are you planning to let me remain single forever?"

Fu Yansheng scoffed coldly, "Who are you threatening?"

"You." Fu Shihan replied confidently, Fu Yansheng’s hand trembled and the ink spread over the paper. "Besides Su Wanxin, I will marry no one else."

Fu Yansheng slammed down his brush, looking up at him, "What exactly has Su Wanxin fed you? It’s not like you lack women around you, why are you so fixed on her?!"

"It’s her. Only her."

A loud clang as the ink stone heavily fell to the floor. Fu Shihan didn’t even flinch and just kept staring at him. "I need to know why you dislike her."

"Why do I need a reason? She was never part of the Fu Family, I disagreed when you brought her back then! Hasn’t treating her well for over a decade been enough? How big is her appetite, still thinking about becoming a daughter-in-law of the Fu Family?!"

"If you despise her so much, why not drive Yangyang out as well. Her child, what’s there for you to like."

"You little rascal, I’m warning you, don’t provoke me! I’ve already sent someone to pick up Yangyang, and in the future, keep the child away from others’ homes!"
