Su Wanxin quietly listened to their conversation, and after a while, it seemed like they had recognized who she was. They glanced at her from time to time and lowered their voices even more, so she couldn’t hear.

The plane took off on time and Su Wanxin slept during the flight. Five hours later, the aircraft arrived in Hong Kong. She declined the warm invitation of the gentleman sitting next to her and quickly left.

By the time she reached the hotel, it was already past midnight.

As soon as Su Wanxin entered her room and closed the door, she remembered something, then turned around and locked the security chain, just in case someone else got a hold of her room card and tried to come in during the night.

She was timid and had a bad temper; if startled awake, she might well grab a knife and stab someone.

With the Chinese New Year around the corner, she didn’t want to spend it in jail, so she had to be vigilant.

After washing up, she went to bed after one in the morning. The financial forum was set to start at nine the next morning, so she needed to hurry up and sleep.

There were quite a few colleagues invited to the meeting, and when Su Wanxin arrived the next day, she met several who had also come from the Imperial Capital. After chatting with them for a bit, she saw someone.

The meeting lasted several hours, and after it ended, Su Wanxin left in a hurry as she had arranged to meet someone for lunch—a client of Huayun.

Upon receiving the name list from Chen Lei yesterday, Su Wanxin had called this person. The other party was very surprised to receive her call but readily agreed to meet her.

When Su Wanxin arrived at the restaurant, he was already there—a young and wealthy heir who had just come of age not too long ago. The moment he saw Su Wanxin, his eyes sparkled, and he looked her up and down several times.

Pretending not to notice, Su Wanxin courteously greeted him, and once the steak arrived, she started discussing business while eating.

Her purpose was very clear: she was there to poach a client.

This was something she had always disdained to do before; clients seeking out the Su Family were too numerous to count, and she didn’t need to lower herself to these tactics.

"Huayun promised you a certain return rate, I will increase it by ten points," Su Wanxin said with a faint smile, her tone firm. The other party raised an eyebrow and replied with a smile, "President Su rarely comes to Hong Kong; why think about work even during a meal? Let’s talk about this another time. How long do you plan to stay?"

Su Wanxin lowered her eyelids and replied softly, "Three days."

"That soon? Do you have any plans for tonight? How about I show President Su some of Hong Kong’s nightlife?"

"There’s no need for that." Su Wanxin smiled and shook her head as she looked up at him. "I’m someone who prefers to talk business. If not for work, we wouldn’t have the opportunity to sit down and eat this meal together."
