Chapter 500 Aunt Qi, Can I Scrounge a Meal?

Chapter 500 Aunt Qi, Can I Scrounge a Meal?

Fu Shihan saw Su Wanxin out the door, watching her return to her own home, before he let out a long, drawn-out sigh.

He couldn’t help but curse himself, "Idiot," why had he chosen to watch a thriller, of all things.

Damn it, did he scare her off?

Fu Shihan didn’t realize that something had suddenly come to Su Wanxin’s mind; he just assumed she was angry at him for being boring and forcing her to watch something like that. Plus, the flu was quite serious recently, and their home might not have been heated enough, possibly causing her to catch cold.

He went back to the sofa to self-reflect, turned off the TV, went straight upstairs, took a bath, and then went to bed.

Su Wanxin did indeed have a headache, and she wasn’t lying to him.

After she went home, she crawled into bed; no matter how hard she tried to remember, she simply couldn’t.

She closed her eyes in a dazed state, cuddling the already asleep Little Ball beside her, and without realizing it, drifted off to sleep.

The next day, when she woke up and hurriedly got up to wash and head downstairs, Su Yao, who was leisurely having morning tea in the living room, informed her that it was Saturday and there was no work.

Taking advantage of the day off and the fact that both Qi Ran and Su Bai were also at home, Su Wanxin didn’t go out.

The atmosphere at home was warm, and Su Wanxin played chess with Yangyang in the living room. Outside, the sky was overcast, and without notice, it began to snow.

Around lunchtime, just as Qi Ran and Su Yao had finished preparing the food and were calling Su Wanxin to take Yangyang to wash his hands for the meal, the doorbell suddenly rang.

Su Wanxin was slightly startled and watched as Su Bai went to open the door. As the door opened, a familiar face appeared.

Su Bai faced Fu Shihan, eyebrows raised, and asked, "What’s up?"

Fu Shihan opened his mouth to answer when he heard his son’s voice from inside.

"Daddy!" Yangyang ran over and hugged him, looking up, inviting, "We’re just about to eat, come join us quickly!"

Fu Shihan: "..."

What a good son, didn’t have you for nothing.

Yangyang tugged at Fu Shihan’s hand and pulled him toward the inside of the house; seeing his eager demeanor, Su Bai momentarily wanted to stop him but couldn’t think of a reason.

Dining room.

As Qi Ran and Su Yao had just set the food on the table, they discovered an uninvited guest had arrived.

They glanced coldly at Fu Shihan, their faces clearly displaying an "unwelcome" sign, but unfortunately, he pretended to be blind and couldn’t see it.

"Grandma!" Yangyang’s voice was crisp as he looked at Qi Ran with hopeful eyes and said, "Let my daddy eat with us too, please?"

Qi Ran was about to refuse when she heard him add, "Grandma makes the best food! Let my daddy taste it too!"

Qi Ran: "..."

"Grandma, I haven’t had a meal with daddy for so long." Yangyang let go of Fu Shihan’s hand and ran to cling to Qi Ran. "Grandma, please."

Qi Ran: "..."

This wily kid, who does he get his ability to act cute from?

"What are you doing here?" Qi Ran looked askance at Fu Shihan, her voice cool as she asked.

Fu Shihan quickly thought of a reply, answering, "I wanted to make something to eat but found out there’s no salt at home, so I came to borrow some."

This answer was utterly shameless.

Fu Shihan faced Qi Ran with an open and frank expression, smiled, and said, "Aunt Qi, I really haven’t eaten."

Look, my son is pleading with you, would you have the heart to send me away in front of him and let me go hungry?

If you have the heart to send me away, I would be too embarrassed to leave.

Qi Ran took a deep breath, then looked down at the calf clinging to her arm, his face full of hope and charm.

She had no choice but to nod.
