Chapter 1175: Seeking Answers from Cheng Yao

Su Wanxin withdrew her gaze and got into the car, sent by Jiang Cheng to the hospital for a check-up. Once confirmed that the baby in her belly was fine, her heart finally settled with relief.

Jiang Cheng, upon hearing the doctor’s words, felt bold enough to call Fu Shihan to report the situation. Su Wanxin listened on the side and frowned upon his call ending, asking, "Was it Fu Shihan who had you follow me?"

"Yes," Jiang Cheng nodded honestly, "We’ve been following for nearly half a month now. Brother Han said that Cheng Yao would definitely come for you, so he had us watch in secret first."

Su Wanxin opened her mouth but was unsure what to say.

He’s thought of everything, prepared everything. He’s willing to spend countless effort, pay any price, as long as everything won’t repeat again.

Leaving the hospital, Su Wanxin returned to the Su Family to hold a meeting, and then went to meet Su Yao for dinner as planned. She didn’t tell her about the morning’s events, just muddled through the day, returning home exhausted after dark.

Fu Shihan seemed very busy today, neither called her nor came home on time. The vast living room only had Yangyang practicing piano. Seeing Su Wanxin return, he hopped over to her side, pretending to be adorable as usual.

Su Wanxin looked down at him, feeling much better. After eating with him, she called Lin Rui over while he went upstairs to do homework.

Lin Rui didn’t wait for her to speak before guessing what she wanted to say, advising, "Don’t go, that woman is a lunatic."

"So where did you lock her up?"

"Just... in the suburbs, Brother Han is over there too."

This was within Su Wanxin’s expectations. She pondered for a while with her eyes lowered before finally standing up, wanting to meet Cheng Yao.

Her heart was truly filled with too many doubts; she wouldn’t be reconciled without asking personally.

Lin Rui couldn’t persuade her nor dared to stop her, thinking that since Fu Shihan was there, nothing serious would happen, so he took her out.

An hour and more journey, Su Wanxin thought about many things in the car. Although she hadn’t met Cheng Yao frequently over the years, the connection between them seemed never to have been severed.

Years ago, the car accident was carefully planned by Cheng Yao, and the ups and downs afterward she was involved in as well. Su Wanxin clearly felt how much Cheng Yao hated her, but what was the root cause of it all?

Su Wanxin and Fu Shihan had privately guessed many possibilities, now finally having the opportunity, she only wanted to hear an accurate answer from Cheng Yao personally.

The car arrived at the destination, and there were several of Jiang Cheng’s men smoking and chatting in the yard. Su Wanxin greeted them and entered the house, where Jiang Cheng was sitting on the sofa in the first-floor hall making a call. Seeing her arrive, he quickly stood up.

"Sister-in-law, why are you here?" Jiang Cheng looked her up and down, "Didn’t the doctor advise you to rest well?"

"Where’s Cheng Yao?" Su Wanxin asked outright. "Do you really think I could stay lying at home?"

Even Fu Shihan couldn’t resist coming to see Cheng Yao, let alone her?

"In the basement," Jiang Cheng sighed, hesitated to speak, "I’ll take you there."

He led the way uneasily ahead, truly not hoping for Su Wanxin and that woman to meet.

Since being caught, Cheng Yao had been frantically shouting to see Su Wanxin, and Jiang Cheng couldn’t figure out what she was thinking or intending to do. His intuition told him there was no good in it.

Fu Shihan had come over after finishing company matters but was only half an hour ahead of Su Wanxin. When Su Wanxin opened the door and entered the room, he and Cheng Yao were sitting face to face at opposite ends of the table. From the atmosphere inside, their conversation didn’t seem pleasant.
