Chapter 1171: Professional Opinion—He’s Beyond Saving
Su Wanxin looked down at the document in her hand, which contained all the evidence Fu Shihan had gathered about Alex’s crimes during this time. He knew she cared about the fate of the fat bastard, so he prepared a copy specifically for her.
Su Wanxin read each word carefully, growing more and more anxious, because there were many things in there she hadn’t known before.
"This criminal organization has been around for so many years, involving so many behind the scenes. Are you confident you can take them down all at once?"
Su Wanxin looked at Fu Shihan with concern and asked. For a group of bastards that would stop at nothing, if they really got a chance to retaliate, they would come back like mad dogs, capable of any kind of revenge.
"As far as I know, this matter has already caught the attention of high-level authorities. Alex being taken away in public today also proves this. Also, actions are already underway abroad, but the news might take a few days to reach us."
Fu Shihan understood Su Wanxin’s worries, but by this point, there was little he could do to interfere.
Su Wanxin nodded thoughtfully, aware of the severity of the matter. She continued to carefully examine the criminal records, planning to send them to Su Yao at home to ask a professional how many years such a scumbag might be sentenced.
About ten minutes after receiving the message, Su Yao called back, giving Su Wanxin a very satisfying answer.
"You want my opinion? My opinion is that this person should just dig a hole and bury himself right there."
Su Yao had just thought about it seriously, considering how she would approach it as a defense attorney, and ultimately felt this person was beyond saving. Moreover, if any lawyer actually took the case, that lawyer was likely beyond redemption too.
Su Wanxin hung up the phone and contentedly turned on the TV to watch the news.
Today, Alex was taken away from the live venue. A few hours had passed, and outside, rumors were swirling and the financial markets were inevitably in for another round of turbulence.
Su Wanxin and Fu Shihan received several messages probing for insider information, but they had no intention of responding. Instead, she happily looked up the reactions of the companies that had dealings with Vedis Royal Bank after it entered the Hua Country market. Among them were her rivals and sworn enemies, so she was more than happy to kick them while they were down in such times.
Late at night, Fu Shihan tugged Su Wanxin into bed, but she wasn’t sleepy. Finally, under Fu Shihan’s relentless persuasion and gentle coercion, she put down her phone and closed her eyes, thinking about what actions to take once she reached the company the next day.
Mu Suyu’s call came in at three in the afternoon, her voice tearful, saying she was outside the company. Su Wanxin immediately got up and went out, spotting the young girl wiping tears in a corner from a distance.
"What’s wrong?" Su Wanxin walked over quickly, frowning as she asked, "Who upset you? Was it Lin Yifan bullying you?"
Mu Suyu looked at her through tears and sobbed, "I-I can’t find Mu Xinghan."
Su Wanxin was slightly startled, her heart sinking sharply.
She forced a smile, tugging at the corners of her mouth, and led Mu Suyu inside, soothing her gently: "Isn’t it pretty normal not to be able to reach him? You never cried like this before when you couldn’t contact him for a year or more."
"But this time it’s different!" Mu Suyu said earnestly, on the verge of collapse, "I dreamed about him last night; I dreamed he died!"
Su Wanxin clenched her fist, feeling a vague sense of tension.
