Chapter 1170: Entering the Net
Chapter 1170: Entering the Net
Su Wanxin bored, flipped through the brochures on the table, occasionally responding to people who came to greet her, until Fu Shihan arrived.
The two have been encountering each other in public quite frequently recently, so much so that Su Wanxin suspected it was intentionally arranged by him.
Fortunately, the organizers were considerate enough not to seat them together, with a few people in between, allowing her to breathe a sigh of relief.
With everyone present, the meeting commenced routinely, just like usual.
Su Wanxin leaned against the back of her chair, listening attentively to the speech of the person on stage. Today’s meeting was organized by the authorities, and they might announce a new policy. For them businessmen, it undoubtedly was another lucrative direction.
The meeting proceeded smoothly, with footage relayed through cameras to television live broadcasts.
People sat with their backs to the hall doors, in the direction they couldn’t see, the large doors suddenly opened, and several uniformed staff walked in from outside.
Their presence was so unobtrusive that it was not until they walked into the crowd, appearing in the camera’s view, that they attracted everyone’s attention.
Sitting in the front row, Su Wanxin heard the commotion from diagonally behind her. She turned to look back and was slightly startled, instantly realizing what good thing President Fu mentioned in the morning.
Now, next to Alex, there were a few more people. Just by looking at those people’s clothing, one could tell this heavyweight was in trouble, and it was a big one.
Su Wanxin glanced at Fu Shihan over there, and coincidentally, he also looked over. Both of them had a hint of amusement in their eyes, continuing to watch the spectacle.
At this time and place, for such a group of people to appear, if anyone claimed there was no prior planning or arrangement, Su Wanxin wouldn’t believe it.
Alex’s facial expression transitioned from initial confusion to seriousness, and finally to panic. All these changes were quite pleasing and satisfying for Su Wanxin to watch.
This heartless beast might have also realized that if there wasn’t sufficient reason and solid evidence, it’s impossible to act against him in such a setting.
But then again, this person is, after all, the Crown Prince of Weidisi, accustomed to big scenes, so he quickly calmed down and followed the staff out composedly.
The quiet meeting scene became somewhat different due to this incident, with people whispering in groups, unable to guess what had actually happened.
Alex, after all, being a foreigner in China, no matter from which aspect, should be given necessary rights and face. To be blatantly taken away by law enforcement officers in such a setting, under the camera’s recording, how serious could this matter be?
The onlookers couldn’t figure it out, and Alex himself was also puzzled.
As the meeting ended, Su Wanxin and Fu Shihan walked out side by side, discussing the matter in low voices.
"Did you arrange this?" Su Wanxin tilted her head to look at him, asking.
"Don’t say that, model citizens never interfere with internal affairs," Fu Shihan replied grandly, but the more he said this, the more Su Wanxin felt there was something fishy.
She looked at him suspiciously, but he only smiled faintly without speaking, until they both got into the car and closed the door, only then did he confess.
Arranging anything was absolutely not involved, he merely disclosed everything he knew and handed over all the evidence he obtained.
Outside, the drizzle quietly fell, the weather was gloomy and cold, but Fu Shihan still felt that today was a good day because certain matters would surely have a satisfactory answer today.
