Chapter 540: Chapter 540: Making an Exception for Her

Afraid Ariella Sawyer might get sick, Summer Sutton quickly grabbed a towel and went over, wrapping it around her.

"Little Ariella, are you okay?" Summer Sutton asked with concern after helping her warm up slightly, wiping away the droplets on her body.

"I’m fine." Ariella Sawyer turned her head and smiled at her.

Even though she said she was fine, her lips were trembling as she spoke, and her little face was ghostly pale.

Summer Sutton understood that many hardships are necessary in the acting profession.

Without saying much, she just held Ariella to help warm her up, and released her when the director called action.

In this scene, Ariella Sawyer was immediately pushed into the water after the shoot started.

For a female actor, scenes like this are not just about enduring the cold; the moment of being pushed into the water also involves overcoming fear.

This one scene alone caused Ariella Sawyer to shoot repeatedly today due to the director’s high standards.

Although her personality wasn’t showy, she was actually a delicate young woman.

Growing up in a sheltered environment, though not in a very affluent family, she was pampered by her parents and hadn’t faced hardship.

Yet, when it came to today’s scene, she went into the water immediately, despite her lips turning blue and her mind nearly freezing. When the director called for her to enter the water, she went straight in without a frown.

She had gone into the water nearly twenty times, but the director kept calling for a retake.

Ariella Sawyer had no choice but to continue entering the water.

Summer Sutton couldn’t bear to watch anymore.

Just as she wanted to say something, Ryan Walyon’s voice suddenly rang out, "Enough!"

Turning his gaze toward Ariella Sawyer still soaking in the seawater, he casually remarked, "I think Miss Sawyer performed really well!"

Ryan Walyon, as the investor, never intervened in such filming matters.

Today was the first time.

The director was visibly stunned for a moment, then motioned for Ariella Sawyer to come out.

Ryan Walyon, the studio’s financier!

Who would dare not listen to what he said?

But today, neither the director nor anyone else in the crew expected Ryan Walyon to speak up for Ariella Sawyer.

Ariella Sawyer was also caught off guard.

After coming over, she stared at Ryan Walyon blankly, unable to comprehend why for a while.

"Quickly change out of those wet clothes!" Summer Sutton helped blot the water off her, then pushed her toward the dressing room the crew had set up.

As she walked, Ariella Sawyer turned her head and couldn’t help but glance back at Ryan Walyon, who remained where he was.

Ryan Walyon’s gaze was fixed on the sea surface, quietly watching the seawater, seemingly unaware of her gaze.

"What are you looking at?" Summer Sutton’s voice came from beside her.

Ariella Sawyer turned back, her expression slightly awkward.

"Nothing." She replied to Summer Sutton before diving into the dressing room.

After changing into clean clothes, she didn’t leave immediately but stayed with the crew to continue filming.

The sea breeze was strong on site, and Ariella Sawyer had been soaking in the seawater for quite a while today. As they wrapped shooting for the evening, Summer Sutton saw her flushed face that seemed peculiar. When she felt Ariella’s forehead, her heart tightened.

She had a fever!

"Why didn’t you tell me!" Summer Sutton scolded her, before pushing her into the car and driving her away from the scene.

Thinking of taking Ariella Sawyer directly to the hospital, Ariella stopped her.

"Just go home straight, I’m okay, it’s not serious."

Ariella Sawyer, as an artist, going to the hospital would attract unwanted media attention.

Summer Sutton considered it and decided to take her home.

She ended up staying at Ariella Sawyer’s for a while, forgetting the reminder Adrian Walyon had given in the afternoon.
